To the delight of pro-life advocates, the U.S. Supreme Court announced Friday it will consider a challenge to a Republican-backed Louisiana law requiring doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.
The nation’s high court granted a petition for certiorari filed by the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of an abortion clinic and two abortionists in the case of June Medical Services v. Gee.

The Center for Reproductive Rights contends that the Louisiana law — adopted in 2014 — would close every abortion clinic in the state except for one. The law has been blocked since its enactment.
This marks the first abortion-related case to be argued before the Supreme Court since the confirmations of Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, both of whom were nominated by President Donald Trump and have given the court a conservative majority. . . .
“Over a quarter of a million Americans have signed The Moral Outcry Petition calling on the court to reverse Roe and Doe under the Law of Judicial Precedent,” a statement from The Justice Foundation reads. “Reversing these decisions would make America, including American women who do not want to take care of a child for any reason, better off. Now is the time to end the tragedy of abortion in America.”
Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, said in a statement that abortion activists are “more than willing to lower the bar on women’s health in order to expand abortion.”
“[S]tricter clinic regulations are in the best interest of women,” she said in a statement. “Just recently we were reminded of the need for more oversight when it comes to abortion, not less, with the appalling case of abortionist Ulrich Klopfer who collected thousands of aborted babies’ bodies in his home. We applaud the Louisiana bill’s sponsor Katrina Jackson as well as its other supporters for taking concrete steps to protect women in that state.” . . .
Before the court’s announcement that it will take up the case, prominent abortion-rights lobbying organization NARAL tweeted that taking up the case “would allow [Supreme Court] to gut Roe v. Wade.”
“This is NOT a drill: The constitutional right to abortion is hanging in the balance,” NARAL’s tweet reads.

I pray the God change the minds of the people who vote for people who support abortion. So many “Christians” vote for them it’s discusting!
Yes, I am praying for Roe v.Wade and any other law allowing abortion on demand to be overturned. We are killing off the next generation. The women who have abortions suffer mentally, emotionally and often physically, as well as psychologically. The child’s father suffers, and the other family members suffer. The death of a child is not like having a simple operation where you heal quickly. There are soul ties between a mother and her child. It’s time for the rhetoric to stop and respect for life at all stages to be taught and modeled in our society. God gives life and takes away life. We cannot play God for our own convenience! There is forgiveness for having an abortion and God wants to restore women.
Heavenly Father, Pour out of Your Spirit the spirit of repentance and sorrow for the killing of babies in the wombs of their mothers. Not by might, not by power, but by Your Spirit, convict and convince mothers and fathers of the sin of murdering their children. Father God, expose abortion on demand as Satan’s plan to increase the spread of Islam and Shariah law into western countries. Let the verdict of the Court uphold the belief in the sanctity of human life and let it lead to the ultimate overturning of Roe v. Wade and the implementation of American law that reflects Your Laws and Precepts. In Jesus Name for His sake Amen.
I pray for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs Wade! No form of abortion should be legal in the USA! It is pure murder in its reality! This Nation is a Christian Nation! One who stands for the the Lord Jesus Christ and His precepts! Please remove all avenues to abortion in America.

We thank God for this president who so boldly defends the lives of those who are being led to slaughter, the babies in the womb. We pray that God will work mightily in the hearts of our Supreme Court justices to affirm the right to life of all persons, in the womb or out of the womb.
We pray that our Father will turn the hearts of the people to Him, to righteousness and truth, to love and mercy and that He will empower these justices even the liberal ones to recognize the need to support and defend the life of all human beings, in or outside the womb.
Thank you, Jesus, for hearing our prayer, for protecting those who are about to go to be slaughtered.
Dear Heavenly Father, We lift up this case before You and ask that You give wisdom to your lawyers and judges as they decide on this case. We pray that You speak to and through them to let them know that this is indeed “murder” of the unborn and against Your will.
We as Your children come against this horrible law and pray that it definitely be overturned. We pray that You forgive us for ever allowing such a law to even be passed in America. We ask that You change the hearts of all of Your children to never allow such a thing to happen again.
We pray and ask all these things in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I don’t understand how abortion and/or infanticide isn’t considered to be 1st degree murder. I
have tried to find out the answer to this by phoning different Christian organizations and also
state officials. So far, I have not been given an answer. May God have Roe vs. Wade removed and
also removing the laws in some states making late term abortion and infanticide legal.
God save the children, they need our helping hand. God purge our nation from this bloodshed in our land. So America can truly be beautiful again.
Praise the LORD! My daughter and her husband who could not have children, after a long wait, recently became the adoptive parents to a beautiful little baby boy. What joy that little boy has brought into their lives! PLEASE GOD, stop the murder of these little babies who you created for wonderful purposes. LIFE begins in the womb. Medicine has provided birth control for people so there is no need for this evil practice of abortion! PLEASE GOD overturn Roe v. Wade and put an absolute end to this incredible wickedness. “Suffer the little children to come unto ME.” Amen.

This is a great article but noteworthy that the author of the law is actually a pro-life Democrat, Katrina Jackson. She also authored the Love Life Amendment that will amend Louisiana’s state constitution so that there will be no allowance for abortion in our constitution when Roe v Wade is overturned. This will be on the 2020 ballot for Louisiana residents to vote on.
