2 People Prayed

Pray as the Lord leads you for our schools and schoolchildren. Download our new, free Special Report for an in-depth understanding of the critical issues in education: Returning a Generation Back to God: Praying for students, teachers, and parents in a God-hostile system.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ( Jer 29:11)

The Challenge
Children and students today deal with more than just reading, writing, gym class, and pop quizzes. Many of today’s public schools have evolved into incubators of progressive thought. Under the guise of being inclusive, loving, and open-minded, schools are introducing topics such as gender identity, Muslim prayer, graphic sexuality, and one-sided political views to children as young as 5 years of age. Students have a lot to navigate with school safety concerns, drugs, and activist ideologies.

The LGBTQ lobby is pervasive
In fact, the battle for the young mind has been going on since the introduction of sex education. It originated with biology-oriented abstinence teaching. Shockingly it now can contain instructions for self-pleasure that would make a married parent blush. Not only are the topics covered graphic, but the day-to-day integration of school rules catering to the LGBTQ community negatively affects other children. Bathrooms, class trips, extracurriculars are all being redesigned. Since sexual orientation was deemed a constitutionally-protected class in Obergefell, freedom of speech and religion are squashed for those who oppose the lifestyle. Many schools introduce programs, clubs, pride days and mainstream pro-gay messaging and exposure, often while limiting Christian clubs and activities. Schools, and advocacy groups are encouraging younger children to explore their sexuality and make their own gender choices, even advocating for children to receive hormone therapy drugs or abortions, even without parental knowledge and consent in some cases.

Islam is woven into many classes
One of the most pervasive areas of Islamic influence in our nation is education. Many schools today provide standardized educational requirements that include teaching an expanded unit on Islam. “Access Islam,” a program developed by the Department of Education, began in 2005 and was greatly expanded under the Obama Administration. This expanded teaching module on Islam amounts to “teaching a Sunday School class on Islam right in our public schools.” The lesson plans are written for grades 5 through 12. They include worksheets and videos to help students perform the 5 Pillars of Islam -prayer, fasting, alms giving, pilgrimage to Mecca, and the proclamation of Muslim faith. (Note from CHPP: by reciting the “proclamation of faith,” one is automatically considered to have converted to Islam!)

“Father God, we ask You to forgive us for not watching over our schools more carefully in past years, so that these concepts, which are in opposition to Your law and Your Word, have instead infiltrated our curriculum. We repent that we have not obeyed Your Word, because it is written, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) We are now reaping the consequences of our neglect.

Spare us, O Lord, and have mercy upon us and rescue our children. We ask this in Your name, amen.

Lord, we ask You to forgive those who have advanced teachings of socialism, humanism, the gay agenda and Islam in our schools. Lord God, they know not what they do. They are like the blind leading the blind, not honoring YOU, O Lord, as the Holy One of Israel.

We ask for a move of divine grace and intervention into each of their hearts, for only You, O Holy One, are able to rescue their souls. We ask for their salvation in Jesus’ name, amen.

Pray more strategically and effectively with our new education special report; please go here. This list also honors those who are promoting Godly values in our schools. Please pray a blessing over each one!

Lord God, as we pray for and release our enemies, we thank You, too, for the promise of Your Word, because it is written:

“These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine.” (Isaiah 29:24)

We claim this verse that the division between those who stand in TRUTH and those who walk in ERROR might be reconciled.

Ephesians 2:14-17  “But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.”

One of our prayer partners, Bob McDaniel in Marion County, FL, has been inspired to develop a comprehensive listing of all schools in his county (public, Christian and independent), along with prayer points and a prayer to cover all students, teachers and staff who are working on these campuses.

Bob has graciously shared his work with us, to serve as a model for others, so that you, too, can “take action” right where you live for the safekeeping and the well being of the children in your county.

You can access his prayer guide by going here. (Written by IFA and Capitol  Hill Prayer Partners)

  1. Thank you so much for your encouragement to pray for our children and schools. This is what Moms in Prayer groups do weekly in over 146 countries–we gather to pray in one accord, scriptural and strategic prayer. So many schools are still uncovered by groups who pray for them in this specific manner. Moms, Grandmoms, Aunts, any woman can check us out at We are impacting children & schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray.

  2. Thank You Father that Your hand is not shortened that You can bring safety, hope, and salvation to our school children and all staff at each school. I agree with Donna’s prayer for our schools. Your Word says “…one can chase thousand and 2 can put ten thousand to flight..” Father, there are lots of other people praying for our schools too. Hear are prayers, O Lord.
Thank You for IFA’s ministry to bring prayer for our nation’s schools, government, and other areas of need in our world. Amen.

  3. I will pray daily in support of the prayer that Donna. L. has given, and will add prayers of intercession as the Holy Spirit gives me direction….this is so very crucial to be keeping these dear ones in prayer !

  4. Father, I lift the schools in my city before you today, I ask Lord God that you would send your ministering angels to minister peace to each child as they walk over the thresholds of their schools. I also ask that you would station guardian and warring angels at those same entries to keep out all who would intend harm. I bind a spirit of rebellion and loose a spirit of cooperation, unity and desire to learn as well as a hunger in each heart to know you. Open the eyes of understanding Lord, especially the teachers and administrators. Show yourself strong on their behalf, appear to whom you choose, give dreams and visions to all. I ask you to put a hedge of protection all around the properties the schools and their facilities are on, sports events and special events too. I thank you Father that you are not willing that any should perish. Satan I command you cease and desist in your attempts to use these young people in any way to cause havoc or harm to others. Father, I ask you to cause a curiosity to spring up in the minds of these young to know more about You and why adults would want to keep that from them. I praise you and thank you for it Lord. Amen

  5. Thanks a lot for your wonderful information. We need to pray and take action to bring changes in the school system. We can’t impact any obstacles unless otherwise we start Bible teaching class in the School curriculum. Heavenly father please open the door to teach the Bible in the schools. In Jesus name I pray.

  6. Thanks for your well timed information. It’s time we moved from sending thoughts and prayers for those who were injured and for the families who have lost their children to daily sending up prayers for safety and protection for every student from kindergarten through college/university. And not just for the students in a public or private institution of learning but those who are in homeschools.

We are in the process of preparing a prayer guide that includes a sample prayer and the names of every school in our county. Our goal is to put this guide in the hands of all bible believing churches in our county asking them to pray daily for our students.

  7. After the National Day of Prayer, my pastor felt the urging from the Lord to pray each quarter, so we have an open day of prayer in our community, the next is in November. Our local Library is the meeting place and the week before school prayed for our town, county and state schools as well as all admin for the coming 2018-2019 school year. We are taking the prayer events-a mandate from the Lord and whether or not anyone shows up to pray with us we are being obedient to the Lord.

  8. What a much needed and well composed prayer point this is. I clicked every link and prayed every prayer. Thank you so much for being a guiding light for our country and education system. Amen and So Be It in Jesus Name!

  9. What comes to mind is Bethlehem mourning for its slaughtered babies after Herod kills them. Our innocent childrens consciences are being seared with sexual exploitation. No i do not think this is over stating it. Lord God, all we can do is look in horror for opening a door that has let the wolf in who now has our “child” by the throat. Lord, i pray for a rescue of our children, i pray that the prarents would know of this evil and intervene and that you would empower them on behalf of their children. I pray that if the schools will not relent, that the children are then home schooled, that the parents would KNOW how serious the threat to their children is and take appropriate action. We ask you Lord for a hedge of protection around each and every child, in Jesus name, Amen.
