God we pray that this film would never be released. We pray that those responsible for this film would be convicted that this is wrong and have a heart change.

Universal’s “The Hunt” isn’t even out yet, but many are taking to Twitter to react to the film’s trailer, calling it “beyond sick” and “disturbing.”

“The Hunt,” which was initially going to be titled “Red State vs. Blue State,” is billed as a satire that follows wealthy thrill-seekers as they take a private jet to a five-star resort, where they embark on a “deeply rewarding” expedition that involves hunting down and killing “deplorables.”

“Universal is releasing a horrific movie about hunting down people called The Hunt. They pulled the ads but they have not stopped its release. Absolutely irresponsible movie and fosters hate and killing of people who don’t believe the same as the hunters. Hollywood be shamed,” a user wrote….

Someone else shared: “#TheHunt is the most disgusting and terrifying thing I have ever heard. You yell about gun control and then release a movie about shooting people who are against your views. Open up your eyes people. God help us all.”…

Another shared: “I just read a report on the movie “The Hunt” that comes out soon. this is why I can’t pick a side. A movie about rounding up a group of “deplorables” and HUNTING them is ok? Put all the gun laws on the books but we’re entertained by a movie about killing Trump supporters.”…

Universal Pictures told Fox News on Wednesday: “Out of sensitivity to the attention on the country’s recent shooting tragedies, Universal Pictures and the filmmakers of The Hunt have temporarily paused its marketing campaign and are reviewing materials as we move forward.” [Universal, however, has confirmed late Thursday that they will move forward with the film’s release, despite its offensive and divisive content.]

“The Hunt” stars Betty Gilpin, Ike Barinholtz and Hillary Swank and is scheduled to be released on Sept. 27.

  1. Dear Father,
What is this world coming to? This movie is utterly unacceptable, upsetting, and will cause nothing but hatred and discord among the American people. Your word says that when two or more agree in prayer – well, we are agreeing that this is from Satan, not from You, and should be stopped permanently. We are trusting You, God to intervene and prevent this movie from being released. You are gracious, loving, and merciful, and thank You for all that You are, and that You are in control.

  2. In the 1970’s I heard a prophetic word about all the “COLLISIUMS” or baseball, football, hocky stadiums being used for persecuting Christians for intertainment. Get ready people, GOD is about to bust a move like we have never seen. Let the world bring it on , because GOD is still in control. Look up for your redemption is very near.

  3. Oh my, what a horrible thing to do to our public. Hollywood knows that this is a very sinful movie and they know it will just cause horrific trouble. They are the deplorables. How very unfair of them to make this movie and stir up more trouble than we already have. Lord, please answer our prayers and make it possible for this movie not to be shown. Protect our people from such adversity, in the Name of Jesus I pray.

  4. Heavenly Father, please hear our prayer as we stand united in You and ask that this movie NOT be released. Human life is precious, and this movie seeks to snuff out lives that are made in Your image. Lord will you do a supernatural thing and move in the hearts of those who made this film and see that it is not released. God we ask in your mighty power that you would move in our nation to break down the walls that seek to divide us and breathe on us the power of your Holy Spirit and revive the lonely, broken culture that has taken over Hollywood and our nation. Psalms l08:12 says, “Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless.” This is a spiritual battle Lord and we are helpless to change it without Your help. Thank you, Lord that You hear us when we cry out to you. In the Powerful Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

    1. We need to pray, this film will incite violence against conservatives-Christians. We should also act. Brian Roberts owns Comcast. I called and politely told them I would cancel my service if they release this film. They were concerned. If you use Comcast/X-finity call 215 286 1700. Ask for the complaint department. Be respectful and let them know you will cancel your service. I read that regarding the release, “plans could change.” Let us pray and ACT!

    2. Heavenly Father, More than 2 are here praying for YOU to put an end to the release of this film about hate and murder. Father, You can send the perfect witness to these film makers and end this film now. I agree with Barbara’s prayers. Hear our prayers O LORD and put and end to this hatred in our nation. Amen

    3. What a beautifully appropriate prayer from Barbara Sanders. It is the absolute truth, and, I believe, hoe the evil one works in our world. I pray it never sees the light of day.

      1. Father God I pray for your revelation power to point out the obvious truth to the deceived of our nation. Lord soften their hearts and make room for your truth in their minds. Cause the mind if Christ to be engaged in our media of all types that the deceiver will be revealed, but prepare us to endure what will be revealed as the sound of the anguished will be agonizing. Guard our hearts that your people who are called by your name will be one in your midst and in your holy spirit.

  5. God hates the proud and this is prideful man at its very worst. We all have to remember that the Bible condemns pride in man. Watch!! It will all come tumbling down! Let’s keep praying. The pits that the left is digging fir others, they themselves will fall into.

  6. “For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”, but our eyes are you LORD . We asked that you would break the forces of Satan that would dominate, intimidate or manipulate the minds of others across this nation to create fear and even violence in our towns, cities and nation. we pray you would open the eyes of the CHURCH and pastors to pray and speak against these forces that the peace of GOD will prevail. For you are a GOD who counsels and leads us in love and unity.Move across this nation that love and unity will prevail through faith in Jesus, Christ and strengthen your church with the Holy Spirit we can endure and persevere in faith til the coming of Jesus in His Glory.

  7. Our Father in Heaven. Holy is Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done- On earth as it is in Heaven. This movie is grievous! It makes me cry out to you for help. There is so much duplicity in the media- calling disagreement hate speech but espousing a movie like this that actually displays murderous hatred. I am tempted to be angry at these people. But Lord, you call us to love our enemies and to pray for them. Your Word tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Help each of us to pray effectively concerning these issues. It is beyond me that people can think like this but they are being pawns in the hand of the true enemy- Satan. Thank you for the grace that has opened my eyes to who you are and the truth of your Word. Please work in this situation to call people to yourself. Show us how to be angry about the issue but not hold angry resentment toward those who are involved.I cannot do this without the help of your Spirit. Help your people to be faithful to pray against the impact of this film. Help us to stand together in a spirit of love against the hate that it portrays. Helps us to be courageous in our interactions. Help us not to be afraid but to stand in the strength of your name.Your Name is a strong and mighty tower. Psalm 91:2- “This I declare about the Lord:He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;for He is my God and I trust in Him.”

  8. This is horrible. Hollywood, what are you thinking? You are adding fuel to the fire. Blood is in your hands just as much as on the perpetrator of future attacks. Violence promotes violence. Shameful.

  9. Dear LORD, we pray that you would not allow this film to be released. Forgive us our sins, have mercy on us and heal our land. We need Thee oh we need Thee, every hour we need Thee, our one defense, our righteousness oh God how we need Thee.

  10. Help us lord to totally tear down the false idol of Hollywood, that it is no longer a part if American culture. We repent. We grieve for all the worldwide harm it has done to your Holy purposes for humanity. May we rejoice in its destruction.

  11. Father God: I stand in agreement with my sister, Nancy P for the conviction of heart of those who made this film to know this is not of your Kingdom. I pray for them to repent and turned from evilness and turn to you. I ask for continued conviction of mind for them to wake up and realize the evilness of this film and to put a stop order of the release of this film. We pray the people of America will not have any desire to see this film. I pray that we all turn to you Jesus, repent and learn to love each other the way you love us. I pray for your wisdom to be released upon this land. Let you will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus name. Amen.

  12. I pray and join others as well-that God in Heaven convict the hearts and minds of the people who thought this up. May they not be given sleep or rest at all until they change their stinking thinking and moral compass to the right and wholesome ways of God Almighty. I curse their finances if they release it and pray they’ll not recover until they see the error of their way and change for the good. In Jesus Name, amen.
