Have you had this prophetic dream? Is God speaking to us as a body about self-righteousness and the divide in our nation?
The letter from an intercessor reads:
February 22, 2019
Dear David,
During the night of February 16, I had an unusual dream. A large vertical dividing line became clear and on one side was written, “self-righteousness”. On the opposite side of the line “self-righteousness” appeared again. Above this picture was an arching line with “self-righteousness” written even larger. I awakened with this clearly in my mind and pondered the meaning. I began to weep and confess my own self-righteousness. This went on for an extended period of time. Then it seemed that the arching line over the scene was an evil hierarchy over America. Its intent is to destroy our country using the sin of self-righteousness on the left and the sin of self-righteousness on the right, dividing and polarizing our country. It became alarming to me and I spent time in prayer during the night hours. The next day I phoned several intercessors to share the dream, get their input and I asked them to pray.
I am sharing this with you now because you may know of others who have had a similar dream or you may have insight regarding a stronghold of self-righteousness. Any information about this would be helpful to me. In the meantime I am using warfare prayers as the Lord leads. Thank you for allowing me to share this dream with you. Thank you also for the deeply encouraging Friday fasting and prayer times with intercessors all over the country. I have joined these calls for many years.

Amen. Intercessors confess their sins as part of their prayer.
There is no room for Holier than thou when we come before God.
God, lift up my fellow intercessors and give us increasing insight into how we can purify ourselves, for it is the prayers
of the righteous, not the self-righteous, that are effectual.
In the name of Jesus, Who taught us how to come before God. Amen.
I am so blessed by Gail’s dream. My personal take away is that self-righteousness renders God’s people powerless while true humility, brokenness and repentance magnifies the Lord’s Holy Spirit within us. With all that is going on in this nation with blatant evil, it is natural to become angry and fearful but if not checked this can lead to a mindset of self-righteousness which, I think, is a tactic of the enemy to keep us powerless and ineffective. I believe being in a place of humility, brokenness and repentance before our Lord, allows empowers God’s people in prayer and well directed by His wisdom. May our Lord bless you all in a personal way.
Every morning since 7-10-2018, at 6:30 am, my prayer partner and I meet to pray and worship at a bench in a breeze way in front of our church. We both individually felt the calling to do this. We’re praying on site and anointing and praying around the building and for our city. It started as a prayer for revival. Unbeknownst to us a division was brewing in the leadership. Our prayers evolved to include prayer for repentance and forgiveness for the body of believers, as some had left the church. We prayed for the various ministries, pastors and people who had left. Healing is taking place and more members have joined our congregation, in record numbers. The pastor is on fire with the Holy Spirit preaching truth and holiness and healing. We’re still praying every morning expecting revival and God’s glory to fill the church. God is on the move.
Last week as I was fasting I woke up one morning thinking about my attitude and asked Father to show me where I needed to change my attitude , and to help me line up with Him.
The problem in our nation and all nations is that there is no fear of God!
When God punished His people and poured out His wrath in the desert than
they feared God. Must we come to that too? It’s time to look to our creator who
has the power to do whatever He pleases and make sure we’re on His side!
Your dream resonates in my spirit Gail. If I may add what has been on my heart:
God’s judgement is being announced on BOTH the Church AND the nations (including the US) We must recognize in our intercession if we are to make a distinction between the two. Is a specific burden for the Church? For America or other nations? In some cases, His call to repentance comes to both or first the Church: For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
I don’t know if my dream helps you but it encouraged me. There were many rattlesnakes on the ground they were not moving and unable to do anything perhaps even dead. There was a a partition in front of me to keep me safe but one rattlesnake kept trying to go over the partition but had not succeeded. Suddenly an arm came from the side and grabbed it . Here’s what I think God is saying to me. The rattlesnakes that aren’t moving or alive are because we prayed and yes those prayers can only be prayed in his righteousness alone. The mighty arm of God will crush the serpents head as we pray in humilty, in true brokenness and repentance. Whatever God shows you that is trying to raise its head in your life or your family, or city or yes our nation or world we agree right here, right now, that the arm of the Lord, not the arm of the flesh will crush his head and destroy the works of the enemy. What is impossible with man is possible with God.
I have seen and sensed many lines being drawn in the last few months always having to do with the battles in government. Also, deceptions being revealed. The line is never defining and we can choose a side and go back and forth, but have a strong sense that in the 2020 election it will be such a defining line. God will use that election to separate His people – there will be no more gray.
I believe President Trump’s election was God’s way of making the dividing line between sheep and goats absolutely clear to everyone. It gets more distinct every single day.
