After facing massive backlash on social media, the Hallmark Channel has reversed course, and WILL allow LGBT-themed ads to air on its platform despite resistance from conservative and family groups. [But that’s not all–read below to see the extent of the cooperation with LGBTQ activism groups.]
On Sunday, Mike Perry, the CEO of Hallmark Cards, Inc., apologized for having caused “hurt and disappointment” for pulling the Zola ad featuring a lesbian wedding kiss, and promising to build a more inclusive atmosphere in the company’s programming.

“The Crown Media team has been agonizing over this decision as we’ve seen the hurt it has unintentionally caused,” Perry said, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter (THR). “Said simply, they believe this was the wrong decision. Our mission is rooted in helping all people connect, celebrate traditions and be inspired to capture meaningful moments in their lives. Anything that detracts from this purpose is not who we are. We are truly sorry for the hurt and disappointment this has caused. … Across our brand, we will continue to look for ways to be more inclusive and celebrate our differences.”

Hallmark will be working with GLAAD to better represent the LGBTQ community across our portfolio of brands. The Hallmark Channel will be reaching out to Zola to reestablish our partnership and reinstate the commercials.
The hashtag #BoycottHallmarkChannel began trending on Saturday after the New York Times reported the channel pulled four ads from the wedding planning and registry website Zola for offending viewers with content they “deemed controversial.” The decision came in response to a petition launched by the activist family group One Million Moms that denounced the ad as inappropriate for a “family-friendly” channel.
“Until recently, Hallmark had a good record for keeping their movies and commercials family-friendly,” the petition said. “Now, parents can no longer trust Hallmark because Hallmark is no longer allowing parents to be the primary educators when it comes to sex and sexual morality. Parents need to know they could now come face-to-face with the LGBT agenda when they sit down to watch the Hallmark Channel.”. . .

Tired of you pushing your agenda
I used to watch the Hallmark Channel for uplifting, clean, relaxing entertainment but now the movies, often offensive themselves, are interrupted by inexcusably commercials, flagrantly featuring males demonstrating PDA, lesbians presented like this is a normal lifestyle choice and mixed race coupling, often enough to be obvious that the station is jamming this agenda down the throats of normal people who live life as they were created. You would retain more viewing patrons if you allowed the LGBT community to provide its own entertainment because it’s a turn-off to the majority of your viewers, who do not have gender identity issues.
Sexual perversion cannot be condoned. Hallmark has always been our favorite channel. Now that you support sexual perversion, we will no longer watch any hallmark programming. Too bad, because you still have some Christian programming. We will remove all hallmark channels from our TV.
Sadly, the one safe place for wholesome family movies is gone. I will no longer be supporting Hallmark Channel in any capacity.
I am extremely saddened by this capitulation to an extremely small percentage of people who feel it is their duty to shove their personal lifestyle choice into everyone else’s lives. I am a Christian man committed to purity and having a wholesome Christ centered marriage. The Hallmark channel was a way for my wife and I to enjoy the occasional drama or mystery without having to worry about questionable programming. We also have two young children we are trying to raise in a God centered home.
Now, I feel I can no longer trust the Hallmark Chanel to air shows that will not show scenes that go against Biblical beliefs. I understand that they are not a Christian organization but they have always at least chosen to exhibit shows featuring heterosexual couples. In addition their adds were also clean. I cannot overstate how much I appreciated this as a Christian man. Now, we will be boycotting hallmark. In capitulating to a fringe group they have alienated a major audience, the American Christian family.
If there is a Christian Network out their looking to move into the drama, mystery, romance category bows your chance. If there’s a Christian greeting card company bows your chance. There’s a big audience out there who Hallmark just chose to sideline.
I am so disappointed. I always felt safe to have Hallmark on when my children and now my grandchildren were around. I want to choose when and what they see or know. That is my decision. My husband and I have stopped watching Hallmark. We started watching other stations that have similar movies without being concerned what our younger children see. I will pray for them, but I am praying that our voices are finally heard. I will also pray that other family stations start gaining a larger audience and we will be heard. It is unfortunate that they threaten to go to advertisers to get what they want. It’s frustrating that they have to control everything. I don’t know where to start to help fight against this except to boycott it.
Last channel that my husband and I enjoy together. We also have many friends who tune in because hallmark was the only channel to reflect our values. So sad that our “0LD FASHION” values are not important anymore. Sadly, they served us well, and our children grew up to be productive law abiding citizens.
I have always loved Hallmark movies. They were fun, predictable and family friendly. Now, they have caved into the homosexual agenda. Just like the other “woke” companies, they think giving into the homosexuals will appease them. IT WILL NOT. They will ALWAYS push for more and more perversion. If Hallmark is happy being part of willingly sending people to Hell, that is very sad. God is real, Heaven is real and HELL is real. Hallmark is following in the footsteps of Disney…which was Once a wholesome place for families like Mr. Walt Disney intended, it has fallen into the very same trap of repulsive political correctness. As for me and my family will not be watching anymore.
LGBTQ storylines is only the beginning. Eventually they will remove all things Jesus from Christmas including the nativity, angels, Church, and hymns. I’m done with the Hallmark Channel and stores.
I do not belong to a “hate group” against others who chose to live a different lifestyle than mine. I am kind to these people and treat them as any other. I do not condone their lifestyle and do not want to be associated with it unless I have no choice(such as at work, etc.) I always purchase Hallmark products but will now go elsewhere. I love Hallmark movies but will no longer view them. This makes me very sad indeed! Hallmark channel has always been a “family” channel. I don’t want my kiddos watching this!!! So sad!
I’m appalled and sad that you Hallmark have caved in to the agenda of the LGBTQ bullies. My Mother is housebound and watches the hallmark channels. Has for years. Not anymore. were done she is 92 years old and why should she hff as very to pay for some crap like that just because as use you want to please some people who are obviously unable to distinguish we go they really as re. Hallmark has, for many years, been a safe haven for our family. We are conservative Christians, and we have had it with this LGBTQ garbage being constantly shoved in our faces every time we watch TV! Thank God for the UP Network! We have started watching more of that channel lately, and less of Hallmark. From now on, I will not purchase any more Hallmark cards or anything else from any Hallmark stores. Someone on here mentioned Hobby Lobby selling greeting cards, some of which are Christian. This sounds like a good alternative, and I will check it out. I just pray to God that Hallmark will return to it’s family values. This world we’re living in is already messed up enough as it is, and we do not need a channel like Hallmark pushing the Satanic LGBTQ agenda on its viewers. Enough is enough! If the Left wants to see two men or two women missing on the lips, they should just find another channel. But leave the Hallmark Channel alone! We conservative Christians need to pray for these people, and also for the people who work for Hallmark. Pray that Jesus will open their eyes to the truth! We need to get society back to the way it was before the Left-wing extremists began pushing their agenda on us. Enough is enough!

My husband and I were so happy to hear of Hallmarks first stand on this. Now I’m reading and am very disappointed about the decision Hallmark has made to continue with the lgbtq adds. We will be praying for the leadership on this decision and in the meantime, we will make a change to not support the Hallmark channel.
I wrote Hallmark today and let them know I would not be buying their products or watching their movies anymore due to their decision to include ads for the LGBTQ community, did not know they were already making cards, etc. for them. It is truly a sacrifice for me since I have purchased and watched their products for as long as I can remember. Believe now would be an excellent opportunity to support faith-based companies, or create one. We have a voice in this matter and it is called the bottom line.

Hobby Lobby has an entire section of gifts and Dayspring cards!! 🙂🙂 I will now do ALL my card buying from them. 👍👍 I was a Gold Crown rewards member at Hallmark because of all the MANY gifts and cards I purchased there over the years, but I will email them and I will destroy my card. No longer will I purchase any gifts or cards from them. It is only Hobby Lobby for me. Also, we subscribed to Pureflix as well.

I too have been a Gold Crown Rewards member for years, watched Hallmark Channel, and bought cards and gifts almost exclusively from Hallmark Store. Hobby Lobby and Pureflex are excellent substitutes for Hallmark. I weep inside fur the loss of this lifelong friend.
I’m EXTREMELY broken hearted over what Hallmark has decided to do. I watched this channel A LOT (when I couldn’t find anything worth watching on TV). Now that Hallmark has succumbed to the EVIL ways, and not wanting to stay a Family Channel, guess I might have to look elsewhere.

I agree heartily with all the comments. It is encouraging to see Christians standing together and fighting for Godly values. Hallmark movies and cards will not be watched or purchased by me anymore. It is so sad to know they caved in not only to an evil agenda but also a very small minority of people. Hopefully and prayerfully they will reverse their decision. Hallmark used has always represented the traditional American family and good moral character. The LGBT need their own channel on a different station. Just like the X-rated, porn channels, they can watch their stuff on another channel and keep Hallmark pure.

If you think that you will gain market share and profits from caving to the LGBTQ agenda, you are sadly wrong. The market share you have just turned off in the conservative, traditional populace is far larger. Though it is a different type of organization, the Boy Scouts of America are on the verge of bankruptcy after having caved to the LGBTQ agenda several years ago. Your network will now have no distinguishing characteristic and will recede into mediocrity.

The LGBTQ activists weren’t hurt or disappointed; they merely acted upon their mission to Dominate or Destroy! They are every bit as tyrannical as the Communist China regime. Just ask the Uighurs (Muslim) or Christians what happens when they express their beliefs in China. You must not even think that LGBTQ behavior and lifestyle is wrong, much less say it. To affirm traditional values causes them to unleash their forces of destruction.
If we delve a little into psychology, the LGBTQ community knows well that their behavior and lifestyle are, at best, abnormal and at worst (according to at least three major religions) immoral. But since they deify self and sexuality above all else, they must rationalize their existence by forcing the rest of the populace to affirm and celebrate their behavior and lifestyle. It is most unfortunate that you had no backbone to take a stand and you have now given the LGBTQ community one more victory in their ongoing tyrannical march!
We will all have to stand before God. Christians need to stand firm to their beliefs and moral values. Another persecution against those who believe in the sanctity of marriage (between a man and a woman) and the detoriation of family life as God intends. As it was stated…love the sinner but hate the sin. It is easier to do what is “convenient” than to have the courage to stand for God, His Laws, and do what is right.
I not only watched Hallmark every day, but I also wanted to buy the Hallmark collection of shirts, bowls, and socks that read “this is my Hallmark watching shirt/ bowl/ socks”. Praise God I have not had a chance to go to the Hallmark store to buy them!!!!! Not only will I no longer purchase Hallmark cards and merchandise but sadly the channel is no longer safe to watch. It was the last channel that children could safely watch after Disney introduced the LGBT theme in many of their shows.
Pureflix has some really cute Christmas movies on it. So Pureflix is the only way to watch TV now.
We are disappointed in the Hallmark Channel bowing down to greed and perversion. Why else would they do that? There are so many good stories that do not include offensive and unbiblical content. We have always enjoyed watching your channel but will be cancelling our subscription to the Hallmark channel.

Mike Perry needs to realize that one day he will answer to God for his decisions. And if his decisions don’t line up with the will of GOD he will be in deep trouble, really deep trouble. However, it may be that Mr. Perry was never taught the sacred scriptures, and he may not realize that the Book of Romans, Chapters 1 and 2 are in the Bible. Would heartily suggest that he takes time to read those chapters; they would not only enlighten him as to what GOD requires of him, but warn him of what happens to those people who totally ignore GOD’s truth–and none of us would want to be in those shoes, ever!!! May GOD help him to see things GOD’s way. His soul is much more valuable than the kudos of LGBT people.

Hallmark’s CEO just started the end on what was a channel that began as a joint venture between Baptists and Methodists and then sold to Hallmark. The LGBT community makes up less than 1% of the USA and they are going to alienate the 99% ? Not very good business sense. The LGBT community wants to change what family is. I agree. I will be calling Direct TV to cancel my subscription to the Hallmark channels. This is disappointing, because Hallmark produces some great movies….. Speaking of being offended, I choose not to watch behavior that is offensive. The LGBTQ community could have just chosen to Boycott Hallmark; Hallmark could have chosen to stand by it’s guns and support the majority of its viewers. We all have choices and there are consequences to every choice. My choice is the right choice for me as I look at eternity!!

I so agree with you, when I see something like this I want to scream out in pain and in anger because everytime we turn around the few companies that were true Christians are falling. I pray with all that I am that they will see where that path will take them… a path to eternal hell. Our Job as Christ followers is the love the sinner but not accept the sin. This move by Hallmark is not only accepting the sin but advancing it. Hallmark has lost another loyal customer.
Hallmark, Chick-Fil-A and other corporations that change their values to accommodate the whims of the masses need to realize that they still will not get the business of these fringe communities. Now they will lose viewership/business of the Christian Faith-based community and the LGBTQ+ as well. They will always be thought of a bigoted by the groups that protested. The goal is to shut them down completely. The world wants to destroy any company that ever had Christian values.

The reason I began watching the Hallmark channel was the programs and movies were Christian based. I knew that my children would not be subjected to violence, vulgar language or homosexuality.
Since the LGBTQ community is trying to take over then maybe they should try reading the Holy Bible and attending church.

Thank you for responding. We love the Hallmark Christmas movies, however, Hallmark has moved into non-controversial scripts some time back. They made a sharp left turn from any Christ-centered scripts to scripts that attempt delivering the moral and ethical truths around relationships and Christmas without “the reason for the season” coming forth. We reluctantly watch Hallmark as the options for good programming drops quickly.

Today the church has high divorce rates along with the world, unwanted pregnancies, pregnancies out of wedlock, abortions, fathers abandoning their stations, abandoning children, husbands abandoning their families/wives, huge foster care needs, euthanasia, and many other society woes. Over 50% Christians between the ages 18 to 35 believe homosexual marriages are fine and dandy, sexual activity before marriage? what’s the problem? We did not arrive here over night.
Repentance must first come to the household of God. Transparency and deep conviction to place God center stage is the start. Which means not eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil anymore. Another way, stop trying to be God or play God, stop running your life your way. We have a High Priest who is eager to take us into the Holy of Holies, into the presence of God Himself, where all things are made new. Then He will have His rightful place in His temple, us!

Consistency is important. Are you banning Hallmark yet watching the news, channels or programs, or shopping at grocery/department stores that support and promote these agendas? Are you shopping at Amazon who is currently suing the President and who has a large portion of viewing in this genre? Take some time to see where all of the places you shop or all of the channels you view stand on these issues.
The point here about Hallmark channels is that they were family oriented and seemed trustworthy. The other places you refer to were/are already espousing those ideas. We speak up now because we must.

Yes, thank you Deborah for the Hallmark phone number. I placed a call and spoke to a Hallmark advocate who was very pleasant and stated that my concerns would be presented to the executives. Prayerfully, they will reconsider their decision to give into the LGBT agenda that does not support values of the Hallmark audience.

Many people have done this, myself included. I don’t know if the people at Hallmark ever read the complaint board, or if they do, they ignore viewers comments and show whatever the heck they want to show on their channel. Many have complained about the LGBTQ agenda being pushed on Hallmark, as well as other things, such as Countdown to Christmas and Christmas In July. Hallmark continues to show this on their channel, despite the fact that many of its viewers are tired of so many Christmas movies. I love Christmas, but the Hallmark Channel has a way of cramming Christmas down it’s viewers’ throats! I, along with many others, have posted complaints about this matter on the complaint board, as well as complaints about the LGBTQ agenda that Hallmark is now pushing on us. They either don’t read the complaint board, or they’re just being stubborn. The only things I know to do about this are to boycott Hallmark, and also to pray for Hallmark. Only God can open their eyes.
It’s so sad Hallmark doesn’t know their audience. Do they really think those that want these ads will be watching a Hallmark movie. I can answer about PureFlix – it is a really good place to watch clean content. It is not through cable, so you can stream it on your computer, tablet, or phone – but it is also available to watch on your television if you have AppleTV or some of the other ones (which I don’t have). Agreed!!! The Encounter series is on PureFlix – I just love it and hope they do more! Bruce Marciano is one of my favorite actors! Also, The Chosen is a new series – Season 1 was just completed – it is portraying the life of Jesus – it is really good!
The reason I began watching the Hallmark channels was due to the Christian and family based programs and movies. I knew that my children were not being exposed to violence and vulgar language. As a Christian we are taught to hate the sin but love the sinner and to pray for the lost souls who are going down the wrong path. Maybe we should encourage these non Christians to read one of the oldest and best selling books of all time, The Holy Bible, which outlines how they can receive the strength to change their lifestyles and have wonderful love, overwhelming joy, and complete assurance of salvation.

I was very saddened to hear that Hallmark caved into the LGBTQ. It was a nice station to go to to see heterosexual relationships only instead of being forced by the other stations that always have to show a gay or lesbian person. That is not of God and not of true Believers of God’s Word in Leviticus 20:13 “ If a man and this goes to women also, has sexual relations with the same gender, I am paraphrasing it, both of them have done what is detestable. In Genesis 1:27 “ God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Anything else is NOT of GOD. That is the message we should send forward to this immoral world. Pray for souls to turn from their wicked ways and false beliefs.
Disgusted that the loyal viewers and One Million Moms were trashed for the alphabet agenda. The Hallmark comment gave no nod to traditional family values. How the liberal bullies win and corrupt has become a plague. There are plenty of channels (almost all others) that cater to the alphabet agenda. So sad my children are contending with landslides started on those slippery slope issues of the 60’s. I am not surprised by this – just saddened. Hallmark has never claimed to be a Christian channel – just a “family friendly” channel. They are, apparently, very much a part of this evil world. I have canceled my Amazon Prime subscription to the Hallmark Movie Channel and sent Hallmark an email telling them I would no longer watch their channel on cable. Instead I have bought a lifetime subscription to PureFlix – I hope Christians everywhere support PureFlix.

What email did you use to contact Hallmark? I just want to gracefully let them know I will not be watching any of their movies that portray LGBT values & will change the channel whenever a LGBT ad comes on as I already do on other stations. It was nice having a station without the LGBT ads while it lasted. We have to protect the eyes of our souls. I’ve been a loyal fan of Hallmark ever since it came on the air. Good wholesome movies with Christian values. I rarely watch any other channel, but if this absurdity of putting ungodly material on this channel continues; then you’ve lost this customer. Not just the Hallmark Channel, but anything that has Hallmark brand attached to it. Believe me, I research brands.
It’s probably time we divorce our TVs and tear down this idol. Maybe switch to Pureflix or a Christian based company if TV is a necessity. Otherwise, spend our time with God, serving others, being with family, meeting with others to pray and worship, prayerwalking our cities, exercising our bodies, reading inspiring books… you get the idea. I was convicted to cut the cord with cable 2 years ago and when they asked me why, I told them it was because of the homosexual content. I purchased Netflix–where I can choose, but the homosexual content now constantly comes up in the “suggestions to watch” or “new programming”. Time to stop paying good money for this perverse content. Yes, we can discuss it on social media and sign all the petitions we want, but it’s time to put action to our words.

For years, we have paid a subscription fee to have access to Hallmark channels. Last night my husband and I decided to cancel. Hallmark has caved to the vociferous attacks of the very small population of people who want the world to embrace and celebrate their lifestyle choices that deviate from traditional Biblical standards.
With this decision, I believe Hallmark has snubbed and lost the loyalty of a very large viewing audience who don’t want to pay for streaming such indoctrination into their homes for children to watch.

I am very sad to hear that Hallmark Channel has made this move. The LGBTQ activist agenda uses buzzwords like “equality” and “inclusion”, but really seeks affirmation and celebration. Activists routinely swarm and attack any company or individual that does not fall in line with their agenda. Hallmark has clearly caved and has adopted the language of the LGTBQ lobby in their published statement. It also seems to me that Hallmark has badly misread their loyal audience who have tuned in for wholesome and family friendly content. Please take note that, just days before Christmas, Hallmark has announced that they will reach out to Zola and will partner with GLAAD. Hallmark will affirm and will adapt their advertising and programming to appease the LGBTQ activists and the Hollywood crowd. Hallmark Christmas movies just became unappealing to me.
Sadly, affirmation is aligning with a wrongful social experiment that contradicts natural, moral, established societal, and particularly Biblical precepts. In actuality, there is no kindness in affirmation; this only hurts those who are trapped in the LGBTQ lifestyle. Despite the activist outcry, most are not well adjusted or at peace.

Watch 9 seasons of Little hose on the prairie, a few seasons of Highway to heaven. Pull up some old Mayberry shows.. There is plenty to watch without watching todays sinful filth.

Hallmark was pretty quick to remove Lori Loughlin’s presence from their stations and rightly so. She not only broke the law, she broke God’s law. Well, now we are removing Hallmark from our nightly viewing. They are hypocrites if they think they can portray traditional family shows while allowing and promoting the homosexual life style, which is also breaking God’s law. May God have mercy on us.
Why did they ever accept an ad from the PERVERSE, HOMOSEXUAL group in the first place? They should never have done that at all which they have a right to do. Once they opened the door, they now have to deal with the consequences which will be a never ending display of disgusting, anti-God examples of what their lifestyle choices lead people to do.
Yes, we are called to love the sinner but also to hate the sin which in God’s own words are an abomination. We MUST not cave in to pressure when God has made it clear that the lifestyle choices those people make, choices that are freely made and not genetically predetermined, are wrong plain and simple. I pray God will forgive their poor choices while He leads them to repent and accept God’s will for their lives which is NOT homosexuality in any of its perverse forms.
It’s called pressure. Peter caved to it when asked if he knew Jesus. I believe our daily prayer should be that we will be able to stand in our hour of persecution. Because we will all get our chance to make the choice. God have mercy on us and give us Grace.
What’s next LGBT movies on Hallmark? That’s the LGBT agenda…to completely saturate the culture. Hallmark TV is abandoning it’s brand of highlighting traditional values.
No more Hallmark products or productions for me.

As soon as I heard the news that they caved to the LBTGQ community my heart sank. I knew in that moment I had to make a decision and it was clear what it would be…. I Will No Longer endorse, buy or watch Hallmark Channel! They have chosen to submit themselves to an industry that is out to hurt and harm children all for sexual appetites! It is now removed from my TV station line up! I chose not to allow my conscience to be destroyed by endorsing harmful sexual behavior patterns! End of Story!!! I’m Done with Any and ALL HALLMARK MOVIES AND STATIONS.
Father God, I bow before you asking for your forgiveness, as I have sinned against you only. I pray for Your mercy & compassions and ask for Your help..,as things here continue to develop an a devastating way & with evil continue to enter our homes right & left. As your child Lord, I used to have fun & have enjoyed this Hallmark channel family movies that portrayed a family as you have created to be: father, mother & children. A family with a real meaning of life it self, to grow & multiply. Lord Jesus I pray for the moms that are standing for the rights of families & the l g b t May your mercy be upon them. Well we are a large family with traditional values. We will no longer support or watch Hallmark because they no longer respect our values.
We have elderly family members who grew up with family values not consistent with gay and lesbian lifestyles. Hallmark always promoted these values until now so we will be watching other channels like the Christian networks for clean family viewing.
My heart is broken to read that your company has caved to the LGBT Community!!
They represent a small minority in our country compared with the tens of thousands of folks who tune in to your channel because it is family friendly and wholesome an upholds the traditional values of this nation, based on the Bible.
It was such a joy to know I could relax at night with a great movie with no sex, swearing, nudity etc. And always with a happy ending, wholesome and pure!! You have robbed me and hundreds of other viewers of that joy, and left us no alternative than to walk away from everything labeled Hallmark.
You will find out just how many many more from the Christian community supported your programs and products, but then it will be too late, because you’ve made your decision, based on a Minority. Why do the gays always have to win?? We have rights too, and voices which we unfortunately will have to use now in protest to your company.

I agree wholeheartedly with Karen. The Hallmark movies were something the whole family could watch and enjoy together, including the commercials! No longer is that the case. I pray there will be another reversal….I really doubt the LGBTQ community watches the Hallmark channels so why does Hallmark feel they need to air such commercials? As much as I love the movies and products, I too may be saying, “Good bye, Hallmark.”
I find these commercials extremely offensive. It’s just another way to destroy our moral culture . This form of sexuality needs to be behind closed doors, not in your face. Their is no safe place any more to watch TV and just enjoy without some politically correct issue to deal with. Good by Hallmark!!!
I hope they have a warning on them. I think it is so ad that our country is caving and celebrating lifestyles that are harmful. The statistics don’t lie. Homosexuals have more depression, more suicide, more physical problems.
