When Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Reykjavík, Iceland, buildings were flying gay rainbow flags and the president, Guðni Jóhannesson, wearing a gay rainbow wristband, shook his hand. Pence, an evangelical Christian, strongly opposes gay marriage and many aspects of the LGBTQ agenda.

According to The Hill, Pence was scheduled to meet Jóhannesson on Sept. 4 at Hofdi House, a place that faces the IT company Advania. The company that day flew a row of gay rainbow flags in front of their building, which were prominently visible to the public and the vice president.
The Advania company flags had been replaced with the gay flags. Many people commented about the LGBT pride flags on social media.
Advania Director Ægir Már Þórisson told the Icelandic Monitor, “We just felt the need to celebrate diversity today and wanted to show that by flying the flags.”
The Icelandic Monitor also reported that the Efling trade union, another building near where Pence was meeting with Pence and Jóhannesson, decided to change the flags they usually display and replace them with gay rainbow flags.
“Photos of Pence’s meeting with Jóhannesson show the [Icelandic] president wearing a rainbow bracelet on his right hand, which was visible when he shook hands with Pence,” The Hill reported.
Eliza Reid, first lady of Iceland, also wore a gay rainbow bracelet for the occasion, according to The Hill.
Mike Pence, an Indiana Republican, has described himself as a “Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order.”

Father, Your word says that when we are before rulers you will fill our mouths with words. Fill VP Pence mouth with your words as he is before various people groups. Let no mocking spirit be able to stand in Your Presence. I place the coals of fire upon the heads of every decision maker in this situation in Iceland to the end that their consciences will be cleansed from the dead works they are following, in order that they may serve the Living God.

Lord Jesus, I too pray that the true meaning of the rainbow will be proclaimed throughout our land in rebuttal of the devil’s use of it. I pray that the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in VP Pence’s life will overrule the slander and ill will brought against him in this act of disrespect by those businesses and president
Father, Forgive the disrespect of this nation. Give our Vice President the strength to withstand the attack of the enemy in such blatant boldness. I pray that he and his family even in hatred stand in the LOVE of GOD. Please, help us as people even in our disagreements stand firm in our personnel beliefs, that Our God is a God of Love but He has in His Word given us guidelines in how to live. He is a HOLY GOD and cannot condone sin but He will forgive sin through the Precious Blood of the Son, Jesus. Help us Father, to see our sinful ways and confess to You our sin that we may repent and be cleansed of all unrighteousness. For you did not come to condemn us but to give us healing, Your Blood cleanses us Lord, Jesus it does not excuse us or defend us of our sinful ways. Forgive us and heal our nations, renew us and deliver us of our sin. Amen
Father God, thank You for Vice-President Pence. Pour out Your blessings and honor and favor upon him. Grant him great wisdom.
I ask that You correct the leaders of Iceland and the companies who were deliberately disrespectful. Cause them to understand that You are the One who determines what is right and what is wrong.

Instead of allowing perversion to hijack the rainbow, VP Pence should have thanked Iceland for the great display of God’s promises and faithfulness – which is what the rainbow represents in scripture. I bet that would have deflated their pride!
I do however pray for eyes to be open and for those trapped in this lifestyle to come to the truth and be set free from the lies of the devil to deceive them.
