We recently were in conversation with Rep. Jody Hice‘s office and asked how IFA intercessors could be praying for Rep. Hice and his staff. Rep. Hice (R-GA) is an ordained minister who felt called by God to serve in Congress protecting religious freedom. He certainly understands the need for and power of prayer.
Here are three things Rep. Hice’s office listed specifically for IFA intercessors to be praying about:
Pray for energy, clarity, and wisdom. The end of the fiscal year is September 31. It is crunch time to wrap up items that have a fiscal year 2019 deadline. He and his staff a lot of work to be done over the next several weeks.
Pray for wisdom for the House leadership as they negotiate the continuing resolution spending allocations. It is on Rep. Hice’s heart for the American people’s money be spent wisely. It is also possible that there could be a shutdown if an agreement is not reached.
Pray for specifically the funding of the armed services in the continuing resolution. Making sure that the military men and women have the resources they need to do the job that is required of them is a concern of Rep. Hice. Pray that the final agreement in the continuing resolution has the needed resources for the U.S. armed services.

Lord, I thank you for Rep, Hice’s desire for your wisdom to govern. I ask that you will strengthen him for the tasks ahead. Lead him in the ways he should go. Watch over him, his staff and their families. Give him opportunities to witness for you.
Praying for you and the work you are doing. So thankful for your service to our country. You may not be on a physical battlefield but you are definitely on a spiritual battlefield. God bless and protect you and your family.
I have been praying for Rep. Hice since he took office, and will continue to do so with these specific issues. My parents, Dave & Joyce Carlson, have been friends for many years with Rep. Hice’s parents, and since our moms have passed away, both of our dads still remain close, so I have had a special interest in Hice’s ministries over the years, and now continue to follow & pray for him as a government representative. May God bless you, Jody Hice, and your staff, as you continue to bring wisdom and godly influence where it is needed in your daily decisions on
behalf of the people of Georgia for our country.
Father, You and I know that following your Word and our Christ is never an easy thing in this day and time, but I am thrilled to learn about Rep Jody Hice and his staff that seek your will and desire your best for our country at such an ugly time in our county. I agree in prayer for their request for energy, clarity, and wisdom. Fill them with your knowledge about what their next steps will be. I appreciate their efforts very much. Bless them, indeed!!
