He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Ps 147:3)

“Those of us who have not lost a loved one to an act of wanton violence cannot fully relate to the agony being experienced by the families and friends of the victims of the Parkland, Florida school shooting. Who can imagine the shock, the trauma, the pain, the disorientation, the overwhelming sense of loss?

At least 17 dead and a number of others injured. Young lives, full of dreams, cut down in a moment of time, and gone from this life.

This, alone, is devastating news, more than we can readily process. But then consider something even more devastating: “There have been at least 17 other school shootings in the US in 2018” – and we’re only in mid-February. What in the world is going on? Or, perhaps, more precisely, what has happened to our world? . . .

As for the victims of this violence, the 19th century saw 24 killed and 30 injured in these school shootings, the 20th century saw 254 killed and 406 injured, and so far, in the 21st century (excluding the bloodbath of 2018), we have seen 227 killed and 278 injured, the vast majority of them school children.

What an unspeakable horror.

And note how the violence is spiking: During the 1950’s, there were 17 school shootings; in the 1960’s, 18; in the 1970’s, 30; in the 1980’s, 39; in the 1990’s, 62; in the first decade of this century (2000-2009), 60 school shootings; from 2010-2018, 153. . . .

I’m quite aware that some will point the finger at easy access to guns, while others will point to the need for greater school security. But again, that is not my focus here. Let those who are more qualified to debate these issues lead the way in constructive discussion and strategy.

Others will look at our larger culture of death, from 45 years of legalized abortion to our fixation with violent entertainment, while still others will ask, “Where was God during this tragedy?” (To this question, still others will respond, “We kicked God out of our schools long ago.”)

But tonight, as I write, my focus is on the shock and grief of those directly affected by today’s massacre and on the exponential increase in school shootings we are witnessing in our country. That drives me to my knees and to my face before God, asking Him to have mercy on our blood-filled land, asking Him to grant us repentance as a people, asking Him to intervene on our behalf. Without that intervention, we are utterly lost.

Of course, I’m not saying that we simply pray and do nothing else, as if we have no responsibility in the matter. But I am saying that we must really pray – with passion and persistence, with brokenness and fasting, with desperation and faith, as if the fate of America depended on our prayers.

It does.” (Excerpted from AskDrBrown.org. Used with permission.)

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you that you have given us (born again Christians) power over the power of the enemy. We exercise that power right now, and we bind in the name of Jesus and with the blood of Jesus, all evil spirits that have been assigned to bring death and destruction to our schools and places of worship and work. We take authority over the communications of all evil spirits assigned to bring disruption and corruption to our community and homes. We confuse their communication and send them into civil war among themselves in the first and second heaven – we divide their power and we separate them by the blood of Jesus and make them ineffective and declare all demonic altars and control set up over our nation, our schools, our churches and homes and communities be crushed and destroyed in the name of Jesus. Lord, assign mighty warring angels to stand shoulder to shoulder around every school, church and places of worship, our homes, hospitals and all our law enforcement personnel. Assign mighty angels to watch over and stand guard over very hallway, every classroom, every police officer, every church and pastor and keep them in safety.
Cover us all with the blood of Jesus and the fire of His Holy Spirit. We thank you Lord, for you are worthy to receive dominion and power and worship in your name we pray AMEN,

Thank you Lord for all these prayers, the article also stated a living truth, that the politicians kicked God out of the schools, and in that void came all kinds of evil. Lord, wake up your church to demand that prayer be brought back to the schools, that the pledge of allegiance would be taken again, “One nation under God” would be proclaimed by our children. May Christian parents choose Christian schools for their children instead of a second car or bigger house. May your children boycott public schools until God is honored there again. Lord, we still have the freedom to choose where we send our children for education, help your Children to not put their children at risk, and may such a boycott wake up the politicians to honor God in deed not just word. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen

I think the information about the 17 other school shootings this year may be inaccurate. It is information that is being widely shared but I think IFA needs to research this more carefully before posting such an article. It may not be exactly as represented. Truth is the belt of the armor of spiritual warfare. We must adhere to truth if we are to be effective intercessors. To whomever is posting these articles, please be meticulous about posting truth or we may be playing into the stratagems of the enemy, who is extremely active right now.

The Bible describes the last days in II Timothy chapter three. In this passage it says evil men will get worse. But this does not mean God’s people cannot make a difference by prayer and cooperating with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
When we don’t know HOW to pray, we ask the Holy Spirit to pray through us. (Romans 8:26)
I pray for school protection when I drive past a school. I have also walked around the outside of school buildings and prayed for God to place angels to guard from evil entry. I pray for the children when I pass a school bus.
When there is a shooting in a Christian Church or school I declare that “The blood of the martyrs is seed for the Church” of Jesus Christ.
There is much that God expects us to do about this but we have to be lead by His Spirit not by hate for the shooters or our own various reactions.

Due to political correctness, politicians have kicked God out of our schools, public buildings etc. They cater to the “minority” who do not believe in God and or Christianity, who are “offended” by this !!! Well here is what I have to say about them, “GET OUT OF THIS COUNTRY” !!!!!!!! This is a God fearing nation, and was founded on God.
A lot of the youth today are not disciplined at home, no religious upbringing, lawless attitude, as the democratic party displays. Conservatism is made fun of, discouraged and hated by the “left”!!
Abortions are rampid, no respect for human life.
Mental health is NOT being taken care of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Matose, you ar so very right. But what can be done about it? We christians do our part in praying and fasting. but there are so many that are called christians that read this and take it so lightly. We need to fight the system somhowe and get prayer back in schools and everywhere somehow. The select few that don’t believe are are winning. All they have to do is whine and our way of life is changed. The power of prayer should defeat these non-believers. Sadly, it is not speaking there language so we get shoved to the back of the bus. When are we going to stand up and fight and stop these senseless killing. This generation is the worst of the worst. Kids today have no respect for there parents or anyone else for that matter. If these non-believers were affected by one of there children being slaughtered would it have an impact on there thinking then? I am probably not explaining what I’m trying to say but I think you get the drift of it. I have four children. One deceased, who was a GOD fearing man. I have two daughters that don’t speak to me because I don’t agree with there every whim. I have one son left that is trying to become a better person but has a severe anger problem that accepted Christ as his Lord but in no way lives or walks the walk. I also have 8 grandchildren that only two show any respect at all. I refuse to be taken hostage just because they are my family but it is so sad to have all this family and are all broken because they live for themselves and not our Lord. It is all in God’s hands but I wish we could make a difference somehow. Bless your heart to write exactly how I feel, I don’t feel so alone in the battle of what is right and what is wrong. God Bless!

I agree totally with your email except for one thing. We should never pray that these people would get out of our country. We should pray that we can speak to them and lead them to the Lord. Then God can touch them and change their hearts.

“We must pray as if the fate of America rested on our prayers” Let this be a bugle sounding to your Body here in America dear Lord. Our children our roped into illicit sex at young ages, taken to Abortion clinics without parental consent, lied to by teachers propagandizing their religion of evolution and relative ethics, Suicide rates amongst the youth keep going up, and now they are shot down at mandatory institutions of learning. Satan is after our young in every possible way. Lord, give us your words in prayer, help us to establish hedges of protection around our youth, raise up those that can tell of Jesus love for them in language they can understand. Save our children dear Lord, we are desperate for your intervention in their lives. And Lord, lovingly wrap your arms around the families of the dead, and stop the mouths of those who would politicsize this tragedy. We pray in the name above all names, Jesus the Christ, amen.

You said it beautifully and to the point and I stand in agreement with you. Only the Lord can intervene. This nation must never turn its back on God again and put Him second He must always be first in our lives. He has an enormous love for us and He wants our hearts to get right with Him because it’s our hearts that He longs for to have that personal relationship with Him.
