“Experiences in a nation form beliefs depending on who has control of the lenses.”
This statement by Lance Wallnau, Christian leadership coach and political strategist, calls believers to prayer concerning the current state of media and the attempts of many liberals to censor biblical and conservative input. He urges intercessors to recognize the critical time we are in.
“… whoever controls that lens creates the belief system that forms the decisions that people make, and out of that decision come the results. What concerns me about this is that we have about a year and a half with which to capture the courage to be able to advance the agenda that the president has been put in to accomplish.” (7M Underground website)
Wallnau stresses the importance of prayer and engagement within this next year to see the tide turn. If believers are to have a voice in this nation to influence future generations, we must rise to the challenge and speak up. We must be consistent in our intercession and willing to confront ungodly agendas and those who seek to distort the truth.
“When will we understand that this battle is coming to you—like it or not! We must stand AS ONE in the arena.…If the Left takes the midterms in 16-18 months the landscape will change over America and a democratic House will push to impeach the will of the American people. We don’t have 8 years or 4 years as some prophets say. We have less than a year and a half to organize and influence. Never has so much been at stake and the church been so asleep at the headwaters of history!” (Facebook, Lance Wallnau)
HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDED PRAYERS FROM PROVERBS 2 CONCERNING MEDIA AND ITS GATEKEEPERS:
(Verses 1-5) “My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.”
-Lord, may the hearts of those reporting the news be drawn to what is true and right. May they not be satisfied with rumors and innuendo, but cry out for greater understanding. May they value and embrace what is true and good. May the fear of the Lord lead them to the knowledge of God giving greater insight and revelation into kingdom ways.
(Verses 6-11) “For the LORD gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright. He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair — every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.”
-Lord, may those who speak the truth gain greater favor in the eyes of God and man. May their voices rise above the false reporting and may they be shielded and protected from the enemy’s advances. Lord, grant them graceful speech and heaven’s ability to articulate and communicate truth that will cut through the enemy’s schemes.
(Verses 9-19) “Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men; from men whose words are perverse, who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways; who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil; whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways. It will save you also from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.”
-Lord, may those who speak truth be clearly separated from those who don’t. May the lies and half-truths be exposed, displaced by words of wisdom and eternal truth that counter and nullify the deception. May the words of the deceitful fall away, bear no fruit, and be lost in obscurity.
(Verses 20-22) “Thus you will walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.”
-Lord, bless the good men and women in the media mountain who have hearts for You and seek to walk in truth. May abundant favor and provision be given to the obedient and those whose walk is pure. May media outlets be transformed by Your hand to reflect honesty, objectivity, and fair coverage, so that all citizens may make wise and informed decisions. Give us boldness to confront unrighteousness and the grace to demonstrate Your heart and ways to a world that is lost.

I praise God for the prayers for I am asked from time to time to pray for media and as one who would pray scripture this format has led me back to finding which scripture represent what I believe God is wading many back to his word and not the words from ours minds that have not need tested by first log 4:1-3 Jesus Christ is come in flesh
Father, we come to You in and for the sake of JESUS, Your Anointed SON:
We lift the media up to You for Your intervention, wisdom, guidance and transforming power. Help the media to understand the purpose of communicating relevant, significant and honest information about current events that are impacting our world. Help them to understand that “editorial comment” columns are the appropriate venue to share opinions, assumptions and suggestions. Help them to understand that the “news” is to be based on valid, substantiated, truthful facts about what is actually happening. While it may be interesting to speculate on the reasons behind certain actions, we all know that at times, we each make spurious, erroneous, selfish and self-serving decisions based on limited vision, misunderstanding, wrong assumptions, insufficient or inaccurate information, faulty perceptions, plus irrational impulses that are birthed in fear, hunger, fatigue, anger and other such factors. Who hasn’t done or said something [s]he regrets and wishes [s]he could rescind? Only YOU, GOD!!
Father, we pray for clarity in communication at all levels. We ask that our President and other governmental officials and employees would do their work as unto You. In fact, Father, we ask that there would be resumption/restoration of the American work ethic throughout our society—where people truly desire to work diligently, competently, thoroughly, with integrity and honor to do their very best to put out products that are superior in quality, durability, dependability and reliability—because You have gifted them with great capabilities, creativity and a sense of honorable purpose.
May the media be attracted to the “news” that focuses on the above qualities and concomitant outcomes that bespeak progress, peace and teamwork—things that add to the common good and reflect a unity of purpose.
Father, we lift up those who feel alienated, rejected and abandoned—those who do not yet understand Your goodness and unfailing love for each individual. We also lift up those, particularly in the media, who have limited understanding of economic principles, historical background, questionable scientific research and other limited academic erudition and cultural values that have little basis in Your principles and standards. We call forth revelation into their hearts, minds and souls so they understand they were created by You for a destiny filled with abundant life. We ask for great discernment on the parts of all people so they will hear, identify and embrace Truth and reject that which is not of You. We thank You, Father, for the powerful, transforming work of Holy Spirit to move each of us from glory to glory. May we each understand what that really means and trust Holy Spirit sufficiently to rely willingly and totally on Him to make us into Your image.
We cherish You, Father, and we cherish the freedom that comes from knowing You. We recognize that all of the goodness that our nation has experienced is because of the foundation on which You inspired it to be built. We recognize You as the Source of Life and we call forth revelation of Your Life in each member of Your body so the world will see and choose LIFE! We speak life into our nation, into our media, into our President and into the beautiful people You have created throughout this world. May You be richly blessed as Your body rises up to take its ordained position as Light of the World. We LOVE YOU, FATHER and thank You for Who You ARE!
I agree with the gentleman that “calling out lies, and questioning those lies is not bias, it is reporting the truth”. I also agree that “pointing out hypocrisy is also not bias, it is reporting the truth”. Again, I also agree that showing how “policies not only hurt the poor, aid the rich” and even assist to perpetuate in keeping the wealthy rich and the poor…poor. This also is “not bias, it is reporting and it is the right thing to do”.
The only thing I disagree with the gentleman about is…….it is that the liberal media, not the conservatives at this time, that have been the ones caught in untruths. The former FBI Director called out the NY Times for their untruths about some of their Russia stories. The Washington Post has also been caught in untruths. As far as hypocrisy the liberals certainly have had their moments of hypocrisy which can be seen in their unwillingness to allow anyone conservative to even speak at the very college they christened nearly 50 years ago as the ultimate of Free Speech (Berkley). I guess they have been in control at universities and centers of media for so long now they have forgotten the most basic of freedoms our country is to stand for.
I have seen first hand and have lived the nightmare of liberal policies as someone who was poor. There are still poor and it has been for some, generation after generation, even after trillions have been poured into their broken and fractured communities. The poor should not be treated this way but too many poor have not been able to escape the liberal trap as I did. The most liberal cities have the highest rate of poverty and the promises of the liberals have yet to be met. After fifty years of trying this cannot be blamed on anyone but the liberals and their brand of truth. It was by God’s grace I escaped the trap of liberalism and can now as a conservative understand just what a trap it was..I would still be there today had I not found the truth. Today I can give much more to the poor, in $, time, talents and just listening.
Lastly I do agree that one of the first things needed to destroy democracy is to not only “destroy the media”, but take it over as the liberals have done. In fact it is one of the first things needed to change a democracy into a socialist, then communist controlled environment. What I see and experience is the majority of media stations and major newspapers are owned by liberals and supported by liberals. Just check out the Harvard study done a few months ago. Unfortunately your last statement of “not allowing conservatives to control the media and not allowing them to skew every story to their ideology, is speaking the truth”….However I disagree with who is doing the controlling. For it is the liberal’s who want to, as you just said “not allowing conservatives to control the media and not allowing them to skew every story to their ideology”. This sounds to me like someone is trying to limit and control who can and cannot speak and this is the truth.
To end, I would like to pray for you. After all this is a prayer webpage dedicated to praying for God’s Truth and the much needed guidance of our country. If you want to pray for me that is okay for I think at this point we all need prayer. May our Sovereign and Holy Father Bless you and keep you safe and draw you into His very presence.
Praise God! Father we give you Glory and Honor and blessing and thanksgiving. There is none like you! Your goodness and your mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. What a mighty God we serve! Father I come in agreement with all our brothers and sisters out there that are praying for the welfare of our nation and our people. Help us to fully understand your will for our lives help us to live a life that will bring you glory and honor. May we bear much fruit for your kingdom. Help us
to grow in the knowledge of God day by day, line upon line, precept upon precept. And we ask that you would empower us to stand firm when we walk through hard times…that we will be able to count it all joy and to fix our eyes on you. May the Joy of the Lord be our strength. And Lord we declare that apart from you, we can do nothing. Thank you Father God for your intervention in our nation. We give you all the Glory and Blessing and Honor in Jesus name. AMEN
LORD, please forgive us for our selfishness, our love of comfort more than our love of you.
Please forgive us for not being the salt and light you have called us to be in this country.
Father God, give us a heart to actually live for you, to put your kingdom above our love of material blessings.
We humble ourselves before you Lord, for we know that the days are very evil, that we good men and women did little to stand against it, and now we are reaping our sins of omission.
Lord, heal our land, not for our sakes, but for our children’s sakes. Give them a zealous heart for you even though they do not see this in us, their parents.
I thank you for giving us President Trump and Vice President Pence, continue to give grace to both of these men and their cabinet. May the prayer meeting continue on the Hill, may your Spirit fall on them.
I pray that now false witness would be set up against them, and that slander would be exposed, that Your truth would prevail.
Lord, we are so desperate for you, lead us and guide us in your ways, In Jesus name, Amen.
Heavenly Father Thank you for your word. It will not return void. Lord help us be lighthouses reflecting your light and love where there is darkness and dispair. You are the light of this world where hope can be found. Lord the enemy uses all sorts of media and tools to spread lies promoting the agenda of the enemy. Lord help us be bold in using the same media and tools in promoting your truth. Thank you Lord for my committed brothers and sisters. I pray that everyone that reads this puts on the full armor and prepares to battle the enemy. I pray that we become one Nation under God again. In your name Jesus I pray.

Thank you for the scriptures to pray for our nation, leaders, and especially our media. I love to pray God’s Word back to Him. He is faithful and keeps His promises. We as a people need to wake up and put on our armor of God or we are going lose our freedom that so many have given their lives for.
