I Prayed have prayed
Jesus, You are Truth and You are the Word. We pray for blessing on Bring Your Bible to School Day, may students meet You Jesus as their friends boldly bring their Bibles to school.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

On this blog, we have often posted about efforts to promote unbiblical mores and values through public school curriculum and events, as well as the infringement of religious freedom in the schools. We have authored several prayer resources to alert and inform you about the use of the public schools as a platform to promote progressive ideals, such as homosexuality, transgenderism, communism, and the occult.  We also devoted an entire prayer call to education and these topics were discussed and prayed about in depth.

In battling the onslaught of unbibilical information flooding the schools, we need to bring truth.

Thursday, October 3, 2019 is an incredible opportunity to do that. Bring Your Bible to School Day is sponsored by Focus on the Family: “[S]tudents across the nation will celebrate religious freedom and share God’s love with their friends. It’s an annual event for students sponsored by Focus on the Family. The event is designed to empower you as a student to express your belief in the truth of God’s Word–and to do so in a respectful way that demonstrates the love of Christ. Participation is voluntary and student-directed—meaning it’s completely up to students, Christian clubs and youth groups . . . ”

When the children of Israel fought the Amalekites in Exodus 17, Joshua fought the battle while Moses held up his arms. When Moses’ arms were up, the Israelites were winning the fight, but when his arms were tired and came down, the Amalekites started winning. So Aaron and Hur held his arms up. Christian students are like Joshua; they are on the frontlines of the cultural battle. Their parents are like Moses, they are battling hard in prayer, but they get weary. Intercessors are like Aaron and Hur, coming alongside parents so that the children will win the battle.

After the victory of the Israelites, God revealed a new name for Himself through Moses–Jehovah Nissi, the Lord My Banner, saying, “Indeed, my hand is lifted up toward the Lord’s throne. The Lord will be at war with Amalek from generation to generation.” (Ex 17:16 HCSB)

The battle that rages for kids today is a repeat of the battle with Amalek, the spirit of opposition to God and all of His plans. This battle affects every generation of God’s people. But God is so good–He is our banner in every generation as well. Let’s lift up our hands to the Lord’s throne together.

And don’t forget, the Lord’s banner over us is love. (Songs 2:4)

Would you commit to be Aaron, Hur, and Moses to these kids who are on the frontlines like Joshua (Exodus 17:8-16), bringing and sharing truth in public schools? If you are willing to intercede for Christian students on Thursday, October 3, 2019, leave a comment.

Abba Father, please surround these brave students with the fire of heaven and hosts of angels as they carry the living word of God onto their school grounds and campuses. May they be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit as they open their mouths to share the Good News! May these words of truth set the captives free and set this whole generation on fire with Your Holy Truth! We thank you for what you are doing on this special day and give You praise for Your purposes and plans will be fulfilled and Your Word will never return void! Amen!

Father God,
Encourage the students all across America tonight, even through dreams, that You are with them and they do not need to be afraid or ashamed. As Your word says and as You are watching over Your word to perform it, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Let them arise in the morning filled with hope and courage to go forth as Christ’s ambassadors. Bless them, and protect them from all the enemy’s wicked schemes. Fill their mouths with Your wisdom. Let Bring Your Bible to School Day be a glorious celebration of Jesus. And at the close of the day, I pray the students will be filled with joy and peace knowing that they were true and faithful to You.
Also, Father, please bless Focus on the Family for their efforts to establish and promote this opportunity. I ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

The Body of Christ

Father, You put all things under the feet of Jesus and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. We were dead in trespasses and sins, but You made us alive! Christ is our Peace, and we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. Jesus is our Cornerstone.

Father, You want us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love-like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, Who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.

May we be filled with the knowledge of our will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. As the elect of God, holy and beloved, we put on tender mercies, kindness, humility meekness, long suffering. bearing with one another, even as Christ forgave us, so we also must do. Above all things, we put on love, which is the bond of perfection, and let the peace of God rule in our hearts, to which also we were called in one Body, and we are thankful.

Full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out, we keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.
Father, You always keep Your Word. Now we will see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do, but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Since we are all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, we will stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. We have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, Who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all Everything we are and think and do is permeated with oneness.

Father, we commit to pray for one another, keeping our eyes open and keeping each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. Also, we pray for our spiritual leaders that they will know what to say and have the courage to say it at the right time. We are one in the bond of love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord God and Gracious Heavenly Father, may Holy Spirit fill children in grades K-12 with the courage You gave Daniel and his friends in the book of Daniel. Help them to love You, befriend their classmates, and respect their teachers by bringing their bibles to school on Thursday, October 3, 2019.

I am praying for children!

Hold up your banner. Don’t let the enemy shame you so that you could not bring your Bible on that day.

Incredible truth! I pray that Christians will answer the call and rally to defend the values we find in the Bible in the face of evil in our schools.

Dear Lord, You love these kids, each one. Dont allow that the enemy would lie to them unopposed! We are crying out and wailing to You for You to send revival into this land! We are wailing for the Holy Spirit to come bringing treasures of Conviction! Lord Jesus, we ask You to do whatever it takes so that every child in every school in America has the opportunity to hear Truth— in what they read, what they hear, what they see, what they smell, by believing students, by believing teachers and administrators and bus-drivers. By every means in every situation. You know what to do, Lord.

Holy Father of Life and Liberty in Your Truth and Righteousness we declare Your Words of Truth. We declare Galations 5:16a that our spirit man be the dominant influence our daily walk, Phil 3:16 we let the message of Grace set the pace Phil 4:23 The Grace that Jesus Christ embodies embraces us in our spirit. Col 1:3,4 Every time we pray for the youth we thank God for them for together with our Lord Jesus Christ we enjoy a common origin in the Father and the reports of their belief in Christ Jesus and their love for every devoted follower inspires us and 1:6 the Word resonates within our youth and its appeal is prevailing in the whole world. The harvest is evident everywhere and gaining ground.
