Father God, we ask in Jesus Name that you would grant wisdom, and understanding to Defense Secretary Esper, in how to effectively use the military power that you have granted to the U.S. to defeat every evil threat, carrying out your will, as expressed through the President, and through the other leaders in our current government, who are in line with your will for America. We also pray that the plan of God will be released into Secretary Esper\'s heart, to see, and bring victory for the U.S. military, since you promised to guide leaders in the Word of God, as in PROV 21:1 \"The king\'s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.\" Father God, we also pray that you will always cause Secretary Esper to give good, and wise counsel to the President, regarding the when, the how, and the timing for the use of military force by this great nation in righteous causes throughout the earth, in such a way that God\'s will for peace, justice, and victory over tyranny, and terrorism be established. Father God , as a veteran of the armed forces of the U.S., understanding what our military people, and their families go through day by day, in the performance of their duties, I pray for their safety, and protection, and that warrior Angels be dispatched to protect, and watch over our soldiers, in Jesus Name!

Father, I pray that Acting Secretary of Defense Esper will know how much You love him. I pray that he will know the freedom that exists in knowing Jesus as his Lord and Savior. May he know the adoption that come from You that prevents him from being a slave to fear – “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:14-15). May he experience the peace and assurance of a friendship with You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Lord Jesus, I lift Mr. Esper up to you today and each day forward. I pray he know the love you have for him and your children around this world. I pray safety over he and his family and those he serves with. I pray for those he makes decisions for, that you protect them and give them descernment. That you would guide him with wisdom over all he has before him.

Lord thank you for our leaders, help us to cover them in prayer daily.

Thank you that you love them and have a purpose for them.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Father, I pray for Acting Secretary Esper that he would focus on his relationship with Jesus so that he can run the race of his life patiently, and turn away from sin with the power of the Holy Spirit.

\"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.\"

Hebrews 12:1-2

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
