Joe Manchin (D)

I pray, in the name of Jesus, over Senator Joe Manchin: that he is convicted to accept Your Word, God, as his standard, to store up Your commands within him, to turn his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding. I pray he is convicted to call out for insight, cry aloud for understanding, to apply the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God (Proverbs 2: 1-19); "Thus will walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land and the unfaithful will be torn from it" (Proverbs 2: 21-22). In Jesus name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity and privilege of adding my voice to the spirit filled prayers that are being lifted by Your prayer warriors on behalf of Joe Manchin. We pray that he cries out to You for mercy and salvation. Only You, Heavenly Father, knows where his heart stands. If Joe Manchin refuses to be saved and to honor You and walk in righteousness and justice, we pray that his days in office will be few (Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Proverbs 8:20) and that another, who is a spirit filled believer in Christ be elected to take his place (Psalm 109:8), according to Your will and Your plans for the state of New York and for America. In Jesus name, Amen.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Senator Joe Manchin. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Senator Manchin. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Senator Manchin be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of West Virginia and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the Senate. Father God, You are willing and desirous to provide guidance and direction, discernment and wisdom, protection and provision. I pray that Senator Joe Manchin would be willing and desirous to receive all that You desire to provide to him as he fulfills the duties of his office. I pray that Mr. Manchin's heart, mind and spirit would attune itself to You to not only receive from You, but to act in accordance. I pray that he would exalt You to the position of his most trusted adviser and he does so, may Your blessings overflow to him and those he represents. I pray that Senator Joe Manchin, his family and his staff would live and experience Your great peace that passes understanding and that is accessible through Jesus, the only Savior of the world. It is in the authority of His holy and exalted name, I pray. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Manchin know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Lord God, You alone know the real heart and mind of Sen. Manchin and his real motives and reasoning for how he conducts himself and the choices he makes in his Congressional voting, actions and statements. Lord God, guide him to stay on a true and honest path and not keep being wishy washy or doing what seems to be "going with the Party". I pray O God that he comes to truly know You, that he seeks Your wisdom and guidance; I pray he seeks truth and strength from a relationship with you. May Your Spirit be working in and around his life, his circumstances and his choices and decisions; create conviction and steps to repentance where they are needed that he might make good choices for his constituents, his state and for America. Keep him strong and provide support, advice, understanding and knowledge, even conviction to stand for his principles and strong values for America. Lord, we thank you that you love America and your people and I pray, Father, for much repentance and much humility to/for the working and leading of Your spirit and in recognition of who You are, of Your Plan for life, your offer of atonement for our sins and hope for life here on earth and beyond to being with You in heaven. Repair our nation and our land; forgive us in America; keep us standing with Israel. May your Spirit sweep this nation and may you provide hedges against the powers of satan and his demons. Thank you, O, Lord, for hearing our pleas and we pray in /by the Name of Jesus and the power His Holy Spirit.
