Comcast Corp.’s Universal Pictures said it canceled the release of its thriller “The Hunt.” President Trump and other conservatives had called the movie inappropriate in the wake of two mass shootings and said its plot could incite violence.
The movie, made by Blumhouse Productions, had a story line that seemed designed to stoke political divisions in the country. It followed a team of jet-setting elites who hunt “normal folk” from states like Florida and Mississippi for sport.

“We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film,” a Universal spokesman said Saturday.
It had been scheduled for release on Sept. 27. There are no current plans to release the film in theaters at a later date or send it straight to home video, according to a person familiar with the matter….

I just went to the movies last night and they had movie bills out for that movie opening on September 27th! I thought they cancelled it? It made me feel like I need to hide out for a few months!

It is unthinkable that such a film would even be considered let alone made in this great nation. I thank you that they have chosen to not release it. I am concerned that they aren’t doing it because the movie is unacceptable – just the timing due to the shootings. I pray that it would never see the light of day. I ask that people would see the vileness of the message and realize that it is totally unacceptable- and never appropriate.
Many mocked people with signs saying, “The end is near!”…. well, this movie even being made should convince everyone that the END IS HERE!
Thank you Jesus for stopping the release of this evil film, and causing it to be canned! I pray the film makers in Hollywood would be convicted of the evil influence they have to perpetuate violence in our country.Lord, lead us to repentance and humbly ask your forgiveness.
