We will pray in small groups with IFA staff, on-site at the Supreme Court, the Capitol, and outside the White House. My experiences with Intercessors for America’s on-site prayer events have been phenomenal. Dave Kubal and team lead a biblically sound and impactful time of prayer. God’s presence was so evident during these times of prayer that we experienced “direct and tangible” answers to our prayers. The outcomes to these prayers and my experience were life-changing. Months later, I am still telling others about what God did!

The almost universal response I get when another Christian asks [about praying with IFA on-site in D.C.] is, “Well, I can pray from anywhere for our nation. I don’t have to go to Washington.” Which is true! However, given the opportunity to be in the capital of our nation, one realizes the sheer mass of ideas and pressures and temptations and how many people clamor for the ears of those in authority and how, if they aren’t hearing and experiencing the help of the Holy Spirit, our leaders can be overrun with ungodly input and influence. Being in Washington, D.C. with the sole purpose of praying opened my eyes to the importance of the task at hand. It’s not that God doesn’t hear me pray for our nation if I’m not in the Capital, but rather that it was easier for me to hear Him and gain insight about how to pray more effectively.

During the tour I was made more aware of the significance that even one person makes. I realized my being there made an impact. When we prayed in the Senate buildings I understood that GOD was making a huge difference in our prayers. I wondered how many people actually go to the doors of the senators for each state and pray. This was a big reality check. I recognize this is not someone else’s job, for someone more equipped, called, or chosen, but that GOD can use me, and HE has equipped EVERY Christian with HIS SPIRIT to pray and act, that GOD will look at that as a significant impact, and that weighs in the Heavenly balance of this HEAVENLY war that GOD has given us the keys to unlock the Kingdom of GOD on the nations, and we are more than what the devil tries to tell us.
