Give thanks to the Lord for positive responses from legislature toward penalizing websites that promote sex trafficking.

He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor. (Ps 72:4)

The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday overwhelmingly passed legislation to make it easier to penalize operators of websites that facilitate online sex trafficking, chipping away at a bedrock legal shield for the technology industry.

The bill’s passage marks one of the most concrete actions in recent years from the U.S. Congress to tighten regulation of internet firms, which have drawn heavy scrutiny from lawmakers in both parties over the past year due to an array of concerns regarding the size and influence of their platforms.

The House passed the measure 388-25. It still needs to pass the U.S. Senate, where similar legislation has already gained substantial support, and then be signed by President Donald Trump before it can become law.

Speaker Paul Ryan, in a statement before the vote, said the bill would help “put an end to modern-day slavery here in the United States.”

The White House issued a statement generally supportive of the bill, but said the administration “remains concerned” about certain provisions that it hopes can be resolved in the final legislation….    (Excerpts from Dustin Volz article on Reuters News Service – Editing by Sandra Maler and Lisa Shumaker)

I thank God that He is setting the captives free and making it more difficult to turn young women into sex slaves. I pray that He will have mercy on our country during these perilous times and bless those who trying to promote righteousness and stand against wickedness.

Pray, because until the church quits prostituting itself as the harlot with the state a a 501C3 hooker, worshiping the state instead of Jesus, which would be following lRS rules instead of being led by the Spirit, you can’t stop prostitution in the world. It won’t happen!!

It is such a shame that this stuff is big news when it is obvious it needs to be done in the first place, and when we (Repubs) have control over both houses and the pres….there should be more than saying “penalized” when it should say jailed for long terms. I am tired of hearing the left…the liberals…the dems… complain and get their way, and the people we elected as conservatives with Christian ethics cannot get a durn thing done. I continue to pray, but I think that we are down the road to destruction as we are approaching the end times. We need to concentrate on what is important, and it ain’t banning guns.
