President Donald Trump plans to expand the White House domestic policy office by appointing an individual to focus exclusively on combating human trafficking, The Associated Press has learned.

Trump is expected to create the position by executive order Friday after he addresses a human trafficking summit at the White House.

A candidate has yet to be identified for the new post on the Domestic Policy Council, according to a White House official, who added that Trump wants to fill the slot quickly with someone detailed from another government agency. The White House official was not authorized to discuss the president’s plans before his Friday announcement and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

Trump has sought to elevate human trafficking since taking office by speaking publicly about the issue and inviting reporters into his White House meetings with victims and anti-trafficking advocates.

A partner in the effort is Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and senior adviser. During a visit to Atlanta this month, she compared trafficking to “modern-day slavery” and said the White House is committed to ending it.

Ivanka Trump is also scheduled to speak at Friday’s summit. She said Thursday in a statement to the AP that the coming executive order will provide additional resources to combat human trafficking.

“From funding for prevention education programs, to enhanced intelligence-level coordination, to fighting child pornography, to a new full-time position within his White House’s Domestic Policy Council, the president is using all tools at his disposal to ensure that the end of modern-day slavery becomes a reality.”

Under the executive order, according to the White House official, the State Department will be tasked with creating a website to serve as a clearinghouse where law enforcement officials, victims, advocates and others can get information on government-wide efforts to combat human trafficking.

Federal departments and agencies will also be asked to propose legislative and executive actions to help law enforcement officials track the sharing – in real time – of child sexual abuse material on the internet.

The Justice and Homeland Security departments will also be directed to work with the Education Department to fund prevention education programs for the nation’s schools. . . .

Father, You created every human soul and spirit and each has a plan within Your Kingdom to bring You glory. We ask that YOU send YOUR Holy angels to come alongside the law enforcement, the regular citizens, the grieving parents to set these captives free. Lord, not one is beyond YOUR reach. Not one is too far for YOUR loving embrace to rescue and heal. We ask that a mighty landslide of justice and deliverance pour down upon this country, that we might be set free of this sin, that the lost may be found, that justice and righteousness might rain down from heaven upon this land. Father, we rebuke of this evil, we repent that we have been blind or have turned our backs on the hurting. We ask you to forgive us and to heal our land, Oh Mighty God, Oh lover of truth. Plant Your truth inside us and YOUR mighty blood cover us and wash us clean. Let faith arise and wrench iniquity from our land, in Jesus’s mighty name. We place our trust and our hope in You and wait to see YOUR hand of deliverance upon us!

While I applaud President Trump’s action. I would prefer this be done jointly with Congress to gain support from both parties. I realize the issues being addressed here may conflict with some of the messages from our elected leaders, including: support of unlimited access to pornography, the so called trans movement and open access to public bathrooms. All of the above contribute to a climate where morality is unclear and there is a desire to allow everyone to do what they want to satisfy their lust and sinful desires. Gods word reminds us that in the last days there will be an increase in ungodly behavior, so this should not catch the church by surprise. We need to pray against the enemy attack upon our children and for godly leaders so this use of an executive order, to do what is right, is not necessary to address the problem of human trafficking.

Lord we pray for protection of our children from the attack of the enemy trying to destroy the next generation which is manifested in many various schemes including: godless indoctrination in the public schools, abortion, gender confusion, school bullying, drug abuse, homelessness, easy access to ungodly online websites and other attacks against our children. We pray for godly leaders who will be bold enough to take the difficult stand against evil and begin to halt its spread.

Father, thank you that President Trump is fighting against human trafficking. Give him wisdom in appointing the right person for this position. Open doors for this person to be effective in this battle.
