I Prayed have prayed

Ask the Lord to help us seek righteous leadership to govern the affairs of State as we move forward following this midterm election.

Provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness… (Exodus 18:21)

While the so-called “blue wave” never reached tsunami stages, there was enough to turn the House of Representatives over to the Democratic Party’s gavel. In the Senate, however, the watermark rose for the Republican Party as it gained several seats. The ebb and flow of blue and red waves leaves the good ship Republic of America afloat in perilous waters, possibly unable to navigate—not as bad as the Poseidon in the 1972 movie, “The Poseidon Adventure,” but here we are in the day after and there is a lot of damage to the Republic. While the maps all show that the nation is predominantly Republican, as reflected by the Senate, urban areas are sharply divided with far-left Democrats. What does all this mean?

On the surface it means that enough far-left Americans, primarily in highly populated urban areas, bought the vitriolic rhetoric, abandoned the appreciation of the economy and job security, and voted revenge. It means that Americans will face the next two years of government brought to a standstill because of “communist-like” tribunals investigating every wild-eyed, conjured-up scandal that comes to mind. It means that there will be an official platform for the “resistance” to continue its propaganda, now even louder. It means that division caused by political parties will be placed far ahead of the welfare of the citizenry. It likely means that Washington, D.C. will earn a new name—Subpoena City.

But there is a deeper meaning to all of this. It exposes a flaw in the two-party system. George Washington believed that political parties would be divisive and dangerous to liberty and limited government. He warned in his 1796 farewell speech, “You cannot shield yourselves too much against the jealousies and heartburnings which spring from these misrepresentations; they tend to render alien to each other those who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection…they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

Washington believed an inoculation against the undermining by political parties was electing moral and religious leaders. He said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them.” Exodus 18:21 says regarding good government: “provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness…” How can those who deny God, fear God? How far have we progressed to even be forced with that choice? This is the day after, and I guess there’s got to be one. (From The Daily Jot November 7, 2018 by Bill Wilson)

Heavenly Father, I am thankful that You hear our prayers and have a good plan for our nation. I will continue to pray for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done in our nation. I also lift up the leaders in our federal, state, and local government. Your Word (I Timothy 2:1-2) tells us to pray for our leaders and all who are in authority “that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Father, I thank You for You for Your Word. Your Word is Truth.
Father,I pray all of our leaders will come to know You and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit thank You for being our counselor, comforter, and power to witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:7-8) I pray You will be glorified in our nation and to the ends of the earth. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

God does not need many to work out His purpose. Lord let your Holy Spirit fall anew as in the book of ACTS. We are not come against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. Keep us focused on your agenda. Help us to pray as Daniel prayed, w/o ceasing. Our faith is found only in your word, spoiler alert, we win!) We shout down your victory before it manifests! We shout, we shout, I say we shout for yours is the battle ours is the victory… that’s what Michael(archangel)told Daniel, “oh favored & beloved of the Lord, God heard you when you kneelt in prayer”; that’s our position still.)

Well think about it; it has come to my mind several times for some period of time. AMERICA NEEDS TO REPENT.
Follow the history of the Israelite’s, before and after they received they law. When they failed to believe or trust God, they had a time of struggle until they accepted that they had sinned against God and repented; then he would restore them and things would go well. It was and it is a cyclic issue. Mankind gets oversure of ourselves and we wander; we want our “own way”. This article is a very good analysis; we are not the one(s) in charge of how and when things may transpire and some of them might not be fun, but will ultimately be for our good and God’s glory. Thank you, Father that you have a plan, you are in charge of working and timing. Help us keep close to Jesus and pay attention to the Holy Spirit; thank you for who YOU are, what YOU have provided, that YOU love us and forgive. AMEN

I wanted to add that I worked in a very active capacity in trying to get Ben Carson drafted as a candidate for President in 2014-2015. I was involved this year in campaigning for a candidate for US Congress. I will continue to be active as I can. The midterms results were a letdown. I having been angry and frustrated for the last 2 days.

Thank

I am 68 and have been a Christian since the age of eight. I had some family issues that kept me from moving forward until 1994. I am still growing in stages. Sometimes old stuff hits and throws me back. I know I have been called to be an intercessor. I was fortunate to work as a nurse in a Catholic hospital and felt lead to pray for some patients. I always asked for permission first. One day I was told I could no longer pray for a patient unless the patient asks you for prayer. I believe one of my colleagues reported me. In 2000, I had a terrible accident that ended my nursing career. I had terrible pain, and I nearly died after my second surgery. I found out that many people had been praying for me and my family. God was so close to me during that time. He saved me for a purpose. I have worked on different prayer ministries. Even now on Facebook, I will put my hand on my monitor for someone having a problem and say a prayer. I want a closer walk, a stronger prayer life, and more of Jesus. Please pray for me.

The Righteous Shall Stir-Up This Nation

Father, I pray that the righteous shall rule. The word of God is the will of God. The Lord changes not. We have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and we do hold the thoughts of His heart. 1 Corinthians 2:16. We are made righteous through faith. We are the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21

I pray that the Holy Spirit intercedes for our Nation that man would speak and do every deed wholeheartedly operating in righteousness. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). His blood cleanses us from all sin. Righteousness gives us confidence. Righteousness gives us boldness. Righteousness is the scepter of the Kingdom(Heb. 1:8). The righteous are as bold as a lion (Prov. 28:1).

God uses ordinary people to accomplish His purposes. Our ability comes through grace. Two important revelations every believer needs are an understanding of power and authority. This is not based on feeling but on faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We must combine the power of the Holy Spirit with the authority of the name of Jesus to move our enemies.

Father, I pray that your word will draw those in need of salvation to Christ shall receive salvation when they confess the word of God: “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). “If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). “By grace are you saved through faith, and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God—not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8). “I have been crucified with Christ. We receive the power through the Holy Spirit Acts 1: 8.

The Lord will teach the righteous to war using His Word (Ps. 144:1). The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit and our source of wisdom. Speaking the Word of God becomes like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces (Jer. 23:29).

May the Word of God bestow fire and divine grace upon the righteous and the Holy Spirit interceding for us in Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
