Pray have prayed
Lord God, we pray that You would direct the justices to rule in accordance with Your laws, Your righteousness, and Your justice.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the most important abortion case in decades. Tomorrow, Friday, the justices will meet, vote, and decide who will write the opinions in this critical case. Our prayers are more important than ever through tomorrow. Please join IFA’s First Friday Prayer Call to pray for the justices as the convene about this case. As always, join at 12:15 pm ET at IFApray.org/live or call (667) 771-7910 2452#.

Here is an excerpt of an excellent analysis of the Oral Arguments from Life Site News.

. . . Leading the defense of HB 1510 is Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Grant Stewart, making the case that judicial precedent asserting a “right” to abortion is “egregiously wrong” with “no basis in text, structure, history, or tradition.” The state further argues that in addition to its legal bankruptcy, the legal regime Roe set into motion has “proven hopelessly unworkable.”

The justices’ questioning of Stewart, Center for Reproductive Rights attorney Julie Rikelman, and Biden administration Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar did not give away a majority of the justices’ intentions in the case, but most of the Republican-appointed jurists did appear at least somewhat skeptical of Roe’s justifications, with only Chief Justice John Roberts hinting at an inclination to preserve the precedent in some way.

Liberal justice Stephen Breyer raised eyebrows by claiming that “the country decided to resolve its differences by this Court laying down a decision in Roe,” when in fact Roe represented judges taking the issue out of the country’s hands. The ruling has been widely credited with intensifying the abortion debate. Breyer claimed that to reexamine such a “watershed” case would “subvert the court’s legitimacy.”

Left-wing Justice Sonia Sotomayor was the most aggressively pro-abortion in her questioning, at points falsely claiming the beginning of human life is primarily a “religious view” and dismissing the evidence for fetal pain as “fringe,” and questioning whether the Court could overcome the “stench” of an anti-Roe outcome supposedly making the Court seem “political,” to which Stewart responded that the best defense against such a perception would be to simply ensure that the ruling is grounded in the legal and factual merits.

Most tellingly, Sotomayor tacitly conceded that Roe is not rooted in the actual text of the Constitution (something conceded by many pro-abortion legal scholars) by questioning whether a reversal would jeopardize other precedents. “There’s so much that’s not in the Constitution,” she said.

Chief Justice John Roberts, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush, gave mixed signals that may indicate he is leaning toward upholding the Mississippi law without going all the way to overturning Roe. “If you think that the issue is one of choice … viability, it seems to me, doesn’t have anything to do with choice. If it really is an issue about choice, why is 15 weeks not enough time?” he pressed Rikelman. . . .

Conservative Justice Samuel Alito delivered arguably the most aggressive challenging of Roe, arguing that the viability line “doesn’t make any sense” as a legal standard because it changes with medical advances, and pressing Prelogar on the notion that an egregiously wrong precedent cannot be overturned unless facts change or a “new argument” is made, getting her to acknowledge that Plessy v. Ferguson, the case which established “separate but equal” in racial segregation, should have been overturned at any point because it was factually wrong the moment it was decided.

IFA thinks that this tweet highlights the need  for prayer through the time of deliberation and determination of the outcome, paying special attention in prayer to “forces that will operate between argument and decision.” Will you commit to keep praying about the decision in the Dobbs case?

America was clearly formed by Christian men following the Laws set down by Moses; those who disagree have not studied their true history.
As a nation that is based on the Judeo-Christian Faith, and on the Laws of Moses, and history of Scripture, it is clear that abortion is sacrifice to the alien ‘god’ of murder by the most horrific methods devised by the cruelest of evil minds.
Roe v Wade is one of the most self-serving rulings ever set down by any courts in history.

Lord, in the mighty and authoritative name of Jesus, we bow before you and before the Supreme Court of Heaven. Yesterday as the United States Supreme Court convened, I thought of YOUR COURT which never close and which deliberates and returns perfect Justice and Mercy. Lord Jesus, thank you for interceding and rendering your just verdict in this debate. We have read Your Opinion for LIFE in your wonderful Word. It is against You, Lord, that we sin and devalue life. We come with sackcloth and ashes before you to mourn the deaths of each precious infant that has been sacrificed upon the altar of our convenience and callousness! The blood of the INNOCENTS cries out in the earth before you! We repent as the materially richest nation on earth for devaluing parenthood, motherhood/fatherhood and the care of our children and families. We repent for reveling in drunkenness/inebriation and not treasuring the privilege and responsibility of parenthood. Lord, correct us, correct us, correct us as a nation, a community and a people. We ask you for a rekindling of Fatherhood, mirroring your loving Father’s heart. We remember our earthly fathers, who would have given their very lives to provide, protect and defend us, their children and families. Sound your justice, your opinion as recorded in your Word over this Land. Thank you, Lord. Please come in Your Manifest Presence into our nation, homes, churches, schools and relationships. We bow in Holy Reverence and fear before you and recognize your nail pierced hand and feet! We love you Lord. Oh, please propel us into the harvest with loving hearts for mothers, fathers and precious, precious children! We wake as Your Body, to minister and provide hope and relief to those contemplating abortion. We wake sound teaching for our youth as to the sanctity of marriage and as to the privilege of bearing healthy children in intact, loving homes. This we ask and pray in the Wonderful Name of Jesus.

For me- the hubris required to actually verbaluze an opinion, from ANY human being..on WHEN lufe begins, THEN, piling on the additional gall to pretend to have the authority to judgecWHEN a baby is VIABLE….this overwhelming display of pointless human flesh violating its own existence and insulting their Lord and Maker in the process- wreaks of humiliatingly obvious desire to implode on itself into oblivion. Any sentient being who cannot see the ludicrous hubris of this obviously has no connection to The Creator God of the universe- and must therefore not be sentient. I apologize for tje big words.
Lord God, thank you for your Word..thank you for Your mercy, Thank you for your sacrifice.
Please deliver the human race from the satanic grip of self destruction.
In Jesus Name, Amen

My victory song!
You know the tune!

ROE, ROE, ROE, the vote,
is bursting at the seams.
Never worry, never doubt
God will intervene!

WADE, WADE in the stream
of intercessory pleas.
God will answer people’s cry
when we’re on our knees.

Life, life abundant life
God’s standing in the breach.
Fairly, fairly, fairly, fairly
Life’s within our reach.

Life, life abundant life
We’re standing in the stream
Of intercession since that time
In 1973.

People who hate that we are created in God’ likeness take every measure possible to destroy life and recreate life in their own image. Help us to fight like Elijah and Elisha on the faith that wins.

Do they not know that Roe never aborted her baby; according to a Granddaughter.
God help all of us for allowing this to have happened in the 70’s. We have nothing to be proud of as we did not fight this to the wire at the time. If Christians, Believers, Parents had fought then as much as the pro-choice people have fought since then; we wouldn’t be waiting for this decision now. Roberts will not overturn Roe vs Wade! Am praying.

“Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected the idea that a fetus that has the ability to move and react to pain, is a human life that should be protected from abortion.” “Sotomayor also said that she believes the idea that a fetus is a human life is a “religious view.” foxnews.com
Chief Justice Roberts “If you think that the issue is one of choice … viability doesn’t have anything to do with choice…why is 15 weeks not enough time?”
Justice Breyer “that to reexamine such a “watershed” case would “subvert the court’s legitimacy.”

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness. Anyone then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit.
Proverbs 20:12 Ears that hear and eyes that see—the LORD has made them both.
Psalm 102:18-20 Let this be recorded for future generations,  so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord. Tell them the Lord looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die.

Dear Father God, I trust Your Word. It says the spirit in a man or woman is Your breath and it is that breath that gives understanding. You call us to holiness and those who reject this command are actually rejecting You. But Father, how can these who do not believe, have ears to hear and eyes to see? How can they render a just decision if You have not granted understanding to them? I rely on You alone, Lord God Almighty. Defined, reliance is to have confidence based on experience. Thank You Lord for always hearing my prayers and allowing me to KNOW You have. You do not need my counsel so I simply pray in the utmost humility but in confidence, for Justices Sotomayor, Roberts and Breyer. I pray they will hear You. I pray they will KNOW You have spoken to them. I pray they will render the right decision, Yours. I pray this decision will be recorded for ALL TIMES. I praise Your Word and the Name of Jesus Christ over this earthly court and thank You. I love you Father, I love You Jesus, I love You Holy Spirit. Amen

Yes, I am committed to praying about this situation. It is a shame that the liberal faction of the SCOTUS is so deceived that they believe that abortion is a right, rather than a sin. Please, dear Lord, give the “conservative” six judges the courage to do the right thing, and uphold the Mississippi law. The news reporters are saying that it could be June until we hear the outcome of this vote. Lord, I pray that this ruling will happen sooner, rather than later. In Jesus’ name.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
The whole earth is full of His Glory.
We humbly come to you for forgiveness of our sins and the sins of this Nation. We ask that you hear us, as we plead for the lives of your children.
“For unto us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders.”
May Holy Spirit touch the heart of each of the justices. Bind any demons that
would fight against Your will. Cast them into the abyss. Please, Lord give them wisdom and a discerning heart. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!

Father God of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, I pray for Justice Samuel Alito this morning asking you to protect him and help him. I thank you for his life. I pray you will use him mightily as this all comes to a vote on Friday. God speak through him. Father God bind Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Barrett with cords that cannot be broken, bind them together with love. Please stir in every believers hearts to pray for our Supreme Court justices and to pray for the unborn – and to pray for every women whose had an abortion to be loved, healed, made whole by our Savior Jesus. My youngest daughter was in mourning for over a year when her unborn baby of just 7 weeks died unexpectedly. How much greater is that sorrow when the world convinced you it was ok to take your unborn baby’s life. Please pray.

Lord God, teach me to stand strong and firm in the might of Your Spirit when I pray, teaching my heart to listen to Yours. Not shrinking back because of what others think, but rather moving forward as Holy Spirit leads, to accomplish Your will on earth, as it is done in heaven. Strengthen me to be Your voice. Give me a heart and vision to see what grieves You, as I lay down my agenda for Yours. In Jesus’name I pray. Amen
