I Prayed have prayed
Thank you Lord for the work of FRC and what they are exposing. Thank you for giving us a way to fight back for the sake of our children. Do not allow fear to keep us frozen but give us a spirit of boldness in love as we move to take back our schools.

America’s students—our sons and daughters—are not guinea pigs for the radical Left’s sociopolitical agenda.

But that is precisely the mission of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) so-called Teaching Tolerance campaign being promoted nationwide in K-12 public school classrooms.

Be encouraged by how God is at work in the public schools.

The dangerous SPLC curriculum is being used by hundreds of educators nationwide, many of them unwittingly. And the aim of SPLC’s partnership with the hard-left Human Rights Campaign (dedicated to promoting special LGBT rights) is to provide products that indoctrinate school-age children on homosexuality, gender “non-conformity,” and comprehensive sex education.

The Teaching Tolerance curriculum makes no attempt to hide its patent left-wing biasit even includes publications for educators on creating an “LGBT Inclusive School Environment.”

It guides teachers to encourage “gender-neutral” identities in students and even provides tips on how to handle “family push back,” labeling parents’ conservative and biblical beliefs as “intolerant” and “hateful.”

Parents and school officials may not yet realize the danger or know how to respond to these multi-faceted threats to our students. The SPLC and their radical supporters are doing everything they can to push parents out of the picture and teach our children — as young as kindergarten — that they should embrace gender confusion and same-sex lifestyles.

If we don’t speak up, the situation will only get worse!

The increasing liberal, anti-biblical indoctrination by activist groups like the SPLC has forced many Christian parents to remove their children from public schools, but a vast majority of families do not have that option.

As followers of Christ, we must encourage students, parents, teachers, and administrators to defend biblical values in the public square. Our Constitution protects religious freedom and the right to live out our faith and moral convictions.

The Left’s extremism in our schools can leave us feeling overwhelmed and powerless to act. But Scripture encourages us that “God does not give us the spirit of fear.”

What You Can Do:
 Examine: Review the curriculum, read the fine print, and examine all materials sent home. Parents must exercise their right to examination of both class materials, and the specifics of
upcoming events (invited speakers, general assemblies, etc).

 Understand the “Game:” The SPLC’s materials are not viewpoint neutral. To learn more, visit splcexposed.com, an information clearinghouse on the SPLC. Encourage your child to ask
questions, both at home and in class. Teach them to be independent thinkers. The SPLC counts on the power of peer pressure to manipulate students into silence. Remind children that teachers have viewpoints of their own, and that these viewpoints may be different than what they’ve learned at home or from other trusted sources.

 Do Your Research: Read, share, and investigate for yourself. Strong convictions stem from knowledge. Examine the SPLC’s Teaching Tolerance website to learn what views are being promoted. Visit FRC’s education resource page at: frc.org/issues/education.

 Network: Get involved at a grassroots level. Strengthen and support parental networks by holding events, book clubs, and speaker events to present alternate perspectives. Form parental
associations. Inquire at your church on who might be interested in joining a counter-effort. Use your resources.

 Teach the Teachers: The most effective outreach is one-on-one to unthread the needle of propaganda and start a dialogue on the necessity of ideological diversity in education. Educate
the educators on the real aims of the SPLC, and its perpetuation of groupthink to achieve completion of a progressive mindset while bankrolling donations.

You are right. As a former elementary education teacher, I noticed a start of all this many years ago, probably at least 25 years or more, ago. I believe it started as tolerance for all cultures – multiculturalism. Not that that is a bad thing; but I remember being surprised when, all of a sudden, the stories the children were being exposed to, leaned away from studying our own history and culture, to studying many other cultures. Alas all that “tolerance” has resulted in what we see today, and it is unacceptable if we have Biblical principles.
I see the need for our students to be taught the Constitution, and Civics. How much are these topics being taught today?
Yes, I believe the younger teachers are sometimes unwittingly involved. I believe this is a result of being biasly taught, themselves. This is scary. The left has been in charge of our schools for a long time, but the general public is just now beginning to understand this.
Where is education that presents facts and allows students the freedom to make up their own minds? (This goes for the Media also!)
Where is decency and morality? We could contact the Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVoss, to ask her to do all she is capable of doing, to get things turned around in Education!
