Father God,
Please help this woman and others like her who do not understand economic and historic realities. We ask that You would reveal truth and cause it to be accepted and become the basis for our beliefs and actions. Thank You, Jesus, for Your power and grace to guide us. Amen.
“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Proverbs 14:12 Venezuelans believed Chavez’s socialism promises and voted for him. When he died, Maduro came to power and has continued the government takeover of the country. Millions of Venezuelans have fled the country to escape the horrible living conditions. It has only taken 20 years for socialism to ruin a country.

in socialism the totalitarian state is between man and God. God’s rulership is replaced by the rulership of the state. State economic dominance ensures people control. Righteousness is replaced by the pleasure of the state; therefore there is no morality. Since morality is gone oppression, suffering and mass murder are possible. Capitalism is an economic model which allows the individual to better themselves. Capitalism’s founders recognized God’s invisible hand operating the capitalist system and His morality undergirding the system. Capitalism without righteousness leads to destruction, not because of wealth, but because evil always brings destruction- money does not insulate one from consequences. Socialists replace God’s law with jealousy over riches and results.
