This is an excerpt from an IFA Daily Devotional series . . . 

Now let’s look at other very powerful biblical weapons: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

The spiritual weapons given to us will enable us to cast down every high thing that opposes God and His kingdom. Remember that the ultimate “stronghold” that opposes God is Satan’s kingdom in the heavenlies. To us believers are committed the weapons that will enable us to do it. Take note again of the people God uses. They were people totally committed to God. Whether they lived or died was not important to them. What was important is that they could fulfill their God-appointed function to overthrow Satan’s plans to defeat us and fulfill God’s plan that we overcome.

Let’s consider what is meant by this tremendous fact: “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” That is “God’s Atomic Weapon”! I believe the majority of Christians have never considered carefully what it really means to apply the power of the blood of the Lamb by their word of testimony, and I do believe that God has shown me, in Scripture, what it means.

It means to testify personally to what the Word says that the blood does for you. The key words are “Testimony,” “Word,” and “Blood.” To make it effective, you must make it personal. Remember, you are testifying to Satan. This is not a believer’s “testimony meeting.” This is when you and I speak directly to the enemy of our souls in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, telling him what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us.

It is obvious that in order to be able to do that, you must know what the Word says about the blood. If you don’t know that, you cannot use this weapon effectively. As long as you remain ignorant, you will ultimately become a prey for the devil’s accusations. Our great weapon of attack is found in Ephesians 6:17. “And take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

. . .  I want to turn your attention to Exodus 12 for a very vivid illustration. You will recall that the Passover was God’s means to bring Israel out from the bondage, darkness, and misery of Egypt. And it is taught throughout Scripture as the clearest and probably the most vivid of all types of our deliverance from the bondage, darkness, and misery of Satan and sin, through the Lord Jesus Christ.
