I Prayed have prayed
Father we thank you for your redemption!

Two survivors of the 2016 Pulse nightclub mass shooting who no longer identify as gay are inviting Christians to repent for how the church has treated LGBT-identified persons in the past.

Before approximately 200 persons at the Sylvan Theater near the Washington Monument for the Freedom March, Angel Colon and Luis Javier Ruiz shared part of their own journeys out of homosexual lives and into the Kingdom of God. They made a point to offer repentance and ask for forgiveness on behalf of the church to LGBT-identified persons, expressing their heart to reach out and believing that a move of the Holy Spirit is at hand.

Taking the stage together in the 80-degree heat, Colon stressed that God has given believers authority to shake the foundation of the nation’s capital and to proclaim to the nation that “change is possible in Christ.”

Even as the shooter was gunning down dozens of people that night in the nightclub in Orlando, Colon tapped into that authority. As bullets flew and bodies started falling all around him, he drew upon the faith he was raised in and began to declare that he was not going to leave the nightclub dead. Colon was shot several times that night and was unable to move.

“As I laid on the ground … I prayed to the Lord. And I started prophetically speaking [over] my life and said ‘Lord, I am not leaving this building dead tonight. You promised me that I had a purpose in life. You promised me that there was a ministry in my future,” Colon said.

“You promised my mom that [the] baby inside of her womb was special and had a purpose in his life. So tonight I am not leaving here dead, Lord. I am leaving here alive. And when I leave here alive I am going to worship you for the rest of my life.”

He elaborated that true deliverance and freedom in Christ means that when temptation to sin comes, as it does, to face it and say: “I don’t want you, I want Jesus.”

Colon met Ruiz the night of the Pulse shooting and had no idea that nearly three years later they would be in ministry together, a ministry called Fearless Identity.

“We have learned what true peace is. We have learned what true happiness is. We have learned what true love is in Jesus Christ, that our identity is not in our sexuality but it is in Jesus,” he said.

A move of God is at hand among those who have been set free from sexual sin, those at the Freedom March stressed.

Ruiz, who was also born into a Christian home and raised in the faith, credited his parents for their faithfulness.

“The reason that I’m here is because I had a mother and a father that never compromised the Gospel, that prayed and prayed and believed not in my situation but in my destiny,” Ruiz said, receiving cheers from the crowd.

“It wasn’t a gay to straight thing. It was a lost to saved thing,” he said. . . .

“Father, I thank you for what you are about to do in America … I believe that something is being birthed out of here today. Lord, we want you back in the forefront of America as we stand in the front lines of society and culture.”

Wow, Praise the Lord, He is opening the eyes of the loss. These two men lives are not only saved from darkness but God has given them a vision for the loss, of what they came out of. This is so exciting.
Again Lord, move among our land, those who are thirty for truth and real Love fill them up with you.
I believe a movement that will be unstoppable is happening. How exciting.
I pray protection for Angel Colon and Luis Ruiz. bless them, give them courage and let your spirit guide them. Thank you Lord.

We need more true life stories like this. We know GOD’s word is true and the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. It hurts my heart at how many churches accept the lie that it is ok to be homosexual. I love them as Christ loves me but I need to know how to talk to them to let them know it isn’t what GOD created them to be. These two men are an inspiration and I pray that their story will reach many and inspire others to come out of this lifestyle that is holding them back from being all GOD created them to be.

Dear Lord God Almighty thank You for everything. Thank You for prayer. Lord I pray that You would call people to You. I pray that they would find freedom in You. May many come to belief in You God and may they come to repentance. I pray Lord that Your will be done in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I thank God for saving these men and I thank the men for standing up for Christ. What an encouragement they are to me and I know many others. I pray that their stance for Jesus will draw many to deliverance and saving faith.

God has called me to me an Ordained Minister shortly after my beloved was promoted to Jesus. I’ve always felt a burden towards the gay people who have been seduced into this lifestyle into bondage. I’ve had 34 years experience in the psychiatric field of medicine & I have loved so many people who thought themselves unlovable. I’m going to look into Fearless Identity to see how I can possibly help. God bless America! It’s time Christians recover the concept that first our identity is in Jesus Christ. satan has held too many hostage. I believe there is coming a Great Spiritual Awakening to America & throughout the world! God will bless America again!

May God bless these two brothers and their much needed ministry, Fearless Identity! May He send His angel before them to open doors of ministry for them, especially within the LGBT community. May he give their listeners ears to hear, and may there be a great harvest of souls!

As a follower of Christ and believer in God’s plans for His creation, I pray for these two men and thank God for their salvation. I also pray all of the people that are bound by the lies of homosexuality. I know that Christians are often bold to stand “against” homosexuality and I pray that we are not selective in being bold against ALL sexual sins. There is no sexual sin that is greater than another. There is no sin that is greater than another. God mentioned 7 things he hates and the one that is most often overlooked or glazed over is PRIDE. Christians need to be building relationships with non-believers – relationships built on God’s truth. We have a lot of work to do to gain back our integrity and influence on a lost and dying world. However, watering down God’s Word is not an option. We must tell the truth – but we must tell it in love. Praying is what will connect us to the power, wisdom and strength we need to make a change and a difference in our world. God bless these two men.
