I Prayed have prayed
Thank you for answered prayer.

. . . On Monday, Ginsburg reinforced previous assertions that the legal deadline for passing a 1970s and 1980s constitutional amendment to ignore sex distinctions has passed.

“I would like to see a new beginning. I’d like it to start over,” Ginsburg said about the so-called Equal Rights Amendment Monday. “There’s too much controversy about latecomers — Virginia long after the deadline passed — plus a number of states have withdrawn their ratification. So if you count a latecomer on the plus side, how can you disregard states that said, ‘We’ve changed our minds’?”

It is critical that we pray for our leaders by name and especially to pray for our Supreme Court Justices during this critical term. Download UPHOLDING OUR LEADERS and pray for the justices and other U.S. leaders individually.

When Congress went through its part of the amendment authorizing process for the ERA, its authorization included a deadline for ratification by the states. Supreme Court precedent says such deadlines for ratification are legally valid. Still, today’s left chooses to ignore the parts of the law they don’t like while using the parts of it they currently find to their liking, or making things up if they don’t like the law at all.

So on Tuesday, Vox senior correspondent Ian Millhiser, who claims to focus on the Constitution, proclaimed that because of her remarks, “Justice Ginsburg’s feminist legacy teeters on a knife’s edge.” . . .

“Ginsburg’s comments are likely to be the death knell for the ERA,” Millhiser writes further. “…Ginsburg also made her somewhat surprising remarks in a moment when the bulk of her feminist accomplishments are endangered by an increasingly conservative Supreme Court.”

Millhiser then accidentally lays out an irony about Ginsburg’s jurisprudence: the leftist understanding of law she’s fought for all her life could vanish into thin air precisely because it’s built on courts making things up that don’t exist in the laws they’re supposed to be applying faithfully. Live by the courts, die by the courts. . .

That’s why “The fate of Ginsburg’s feminist legacy is uncertain,” Millhiser writes. “…And cases like Virginia and Reed are even less likely to survive if President Trump gets to fill more seats on the Supreme Court.” In other words, Ginsburg’s legacy may be consumed by the very means she used to build it. If that happens, expect the left to take revenge on people who tried yet failed to secure that power — such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

There have been other rumblings that the left is planning to retcon Ginsburg’s legacy as soon as she kicks the bucket. Their knives may be mostly sheathed for now, but they’ve been quietly sharpening them over the fact that Ginsburg decided not to retire under President Obama, who then could have appointed a juicy young successor to keep the court political for decades to come.

“[N]o amount of swag or hagiography can obscure the fact that, while Ginsburg is responsible for a great number of landmark legal decisions, her legacy may be sorely tarnished by one truly terrible one: refusing to retire when President Barack Obama could have named her replacement,” wrote Mother Jones reporter Stephanie Mencimer in 2018, when Felicity Jones was about to portray the “Notorious RBG” on the silver screen.

Mencimer’s article catalogs a number of calls from the left for Ginsburg to step down and secure their power over the Supreme Court for another generation. These appeared openly in the pages of the Los Angeles Times, National Journal, The New Republic, and Slate. Of course, Ginsburg either ignored or didn’t hear them.

I have to plead ignorance; I don’t fully understand what this ERA is all about. Can somebody put it in plain language and advise me what is at stake here?

Mari, the ERA was paraded as a needed Amendment to our Constitution to bring equality to women.
The opposite turned out to be true. I have included a website you can go to in order to receive basically all the necessary information on what the bill really would do.

    https://eagleforum.org/category/era

The above address takes you the Eagle Forum website. This organization was started by a brilliant female lawyer named Phyllis Schlafly. Her God-given goal was to defeat ratification of the bill by educating the public about what the bill was really about and how it would impact women’s lives. Sad to say she passed away several years ago and is sorely missed.
You can also go to The Federalist webpage to read a good article about the subject entitled: 5 Surprising Reasons From A Lefty Professor To Oppose The So-Called Equal Rights Amendment.
I hope this websites answer your questions.

Thank you so much, Jane. I truly appreciate your help and will visit the websites you mention and be better informed. Yes, I am sure that Phyllis Schiafly is sorely missed and pray that GOD would raise up many other strong Godly women to fill all the empty places and all the places currently occupied by women who don’t know GOD at all.

I have been praying for her for her salvation for quite a while. I believe Antonin Scalia (sp) had an influence on this woman. They had a friendship and look at the legacy he left. I want to see her come to salvation before He takes her home….He wants all men to come to a saving knowledge of Him. His word says He does not delight in the death of a wicked man.

The other morning I was praying and the Lord brought Ruth Ginsburg up and said “March” I don’t know what that means but maybe she will be going to be before the Lord in March or maybe she will step down in March. I don’t know but I prayed for her.

Marge, I don’t know what your talents are but what comes to my mind is Ruth’s days are done and the word “March” is for you. It is time for you to do whatever God wants you to do. RBG was considered to be very liberal. We are living in a different day, so God has righteous things for you to do.

I agree with Jane in believing that March was ment for Marge. After reading what Marge had to say, that was my first thought.

Psalm 2 states: “Be wise now therefore, O you kings, be instructed you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, rejoice with trembling.” Lord, we pray that the judges of this land would serve You with fear because each of them must stand in judgement themselves some day. What an awesome responsibility to judge people and situations. And may each one do so in the “fear of the Lord.”

Lord God, may your Holy Spirit draw Ruth Bader Ginsburg like a magnet to you, even at this late stage of her life, so that she may see the beauty of your goodness and mercy and spend eternity with you, rather than the alternative. In your mighty name, Jesus!

“He appointed judges in the land. ..
He said to the judges, “Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the LORD who is with you when you render judgment. Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do. . .”
2Chronicles 19: 5-7 NASB

Father, may Judge Ginsberg come to know salvation through Jesus Christ, and make this passage of Scripture her standard for any future SCOTUS
decisions she will be ruling on.
Be glorified in in her midst LORD GOD!

Yes, I pray for the 9 Supreme Court Justices every single day. I pray for all them to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. I also pray that my Lord Jesus Christ would take out those who are against the word of God. Who are against the Constitution. Who want to kill unborn babies (abortion). These people do not belong on the highest seat in this country. I pray that my Lord Jesus Christ would take out Ginsburg, Brayer, Sodomayer, and Kagan. I do warfare for their souls everyday by the grace of God. I thank my God for using Pres. Trump for putting in 2 men that are standing up what is right in the eyes of God. Praise the Lord. Dear Holy and Righteous Father, thank you that you are moving upon Judge Rurh Gingrich as she ponders her own mortality and her life. Thank you that you hold her heart in your hand and just like the rivers of water. You turn it in the way it should go. Your mercies are new every Morning and your desire is that all men would be saved and come to the truth. In her remaining days bring her to truth, out of the dark into the light. Shift her from choosing death structures to choosing life. I pray that you speak to her in the night seasons, visit her and create in her a clean heart. God, I ask that she would do more good in her last days, then all of the destruction in her former days. Father I thank you for the one you have picked to take her place when she is done. That one that stands on the principles of God and our constitution. That one of integrity and back bone, clothed in the full armor of God.
Thank you Lord for hearing our cries, for removing death structures from our midst , for destroying the works of the enemy and giving us life abundantly. Amen

In that praying for a wicked judge to turn from her wicked ways only apply if she is still actually alive, I do pray that RBG will somehow in these last days of her life may find true repentance and forgiveness for her multitude of sins.

May God cause her to exit the court quickly and for Donald Trump to ignore the so-called unconstitutional Biden rule and name a God honoring justice.
