I Prayed have prayed

Have you ever been able to sense that a dangerous threat is approaching? In such moments, it can be difficult to not give into fear. But we change our response when we start by finding strategy in the place of prayer.

We see this dynamic in the life of Queen Esther. She was a weapon of divine precision strategically hidden away in a palace when a man named Haman came against the people of Israel.

Haman’s pride had been wounded by one of the children of Israel, and he possessed an ever-growing desire for vengeance. He would not be satisfied until all the Jews were annihilated. He drew near to Esther’s husband, a foreign king, and designed a decree that threatened the lives of her people.

Though she was a queen, Esther realized something many have forgotten: none of us are isolated. Strength is given for the protection of the weak. So when she learned of the pending confrontation, Esther called out to God in fasting and prayer even before she met the enemy face to face. She declared:

“Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I am willing to die” (Esther 4:16 NLT). Because she responded with bold faith, the queen and her people were protected from their wicked adversary.

What about you? If you are very intuitive, you often will sense danger when it is but an approaching shadow in the distance. In these situations, you have a choice: you can react in panic or you can act wisely. If we are wise, we will sound the horn and begin shooting arrows of prayer heavenward, letting them fall upon our foe while he is yet far off.

Unfortunately, this is not usually our first reaction. Instead of shooting arrows of prayer, we talk the problem over with others and allow it to expand and multiply in our minds. We lose perspective and drop our weapons.

I believe God is still carefully placing His royal children in places where they need to respond with strategic prayer. We hold influence with our King. If we use our favor and influence wisely, responding to threats and attacks with bold faith, we will secure not only our future but the futures of those around us.

Are you ready to step into the strategic position God has readied for you? This week, let’s pray:

Father, I know that You have positioned me for influence according to Your heavenly strategy. I ask You today for the awareness to perceive the threats of the enemy, and I ask You for the grace to respond with faith and not fear. In the face of danger, I want to shoot my prayers high to heaven. I want to walk in wisdom so that Your love and power can be displayed in and through my life. Thank You for enabling me to partner with Your purpose! In Your precious name I pray, amen.

This bill that comes up again on Thursday is so vital I am truly lifting ip all legislators. There are areas so many are not aware of: 1) block grants work if your neighborhood gets one million dollars for a thousand people. However, if the demographics change and you have 10,000 people, you Don’t get more money without changing the legislation again. 2) a director of a center for handicapped children summed up his situation: It doesn’t matter how many Entitlements there are if there are no funds to implement any of the programs.3) residents of many nursing homes are 2 people sharing a 12 -12 Ft room with bath. For the b & b and care they pay all but a few dollars og their Social Security to the facility. I was a case mgr
Years ago and recall having to go to an assisted living facility and tell my clients the $17.00 raise promised my the government was going to be applied to their Social Security Insurance. They weren’t to get Anything. All I could do was cry with them. Please, please fast and pray over this issue. There are so many diverse needs. I pray for Wisdom
My heart cries out for all the people in government and the demands. But.
Our God is Faithful, ever present..

Lord Jesus,
to be used as arrows in the quiver of the King of King, our Lord Jesus!
give us your wisdom regarding our days here and now Lord
and give us your inspiration to pray the strategic prayers of faith,
cause us to know your word so that we have the firm foundation of your truth to equip our prayers with holy thunder. Give us boldness to use the authority you have given us to bind the hands of our enemy. Cause us to know who we are in You and who you are in us. In Jesus name, Amen

When the spies went to scout out the promised land, the returned saying my God, there are GIANTS! And were afraid. When Daniel? returned from his scouting, he reported, ” My GOD, eh, there’s some giants.” Father, enable us as intercessors and your children everywhere, to keep the proper perspective. Yes, there may be giants, but you are GOD, and where two or three are gathered, there You are, the Blessed Controller of ALL things.

Father thank You for the blessing of being able to openly pray to You via the Internet.
Your Word says that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

If You are for us then who will be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, nothing but unconfessed sin will come between You and Your children.

Father, we pray for the fear of the LORD to fall on Your church, on our families, on every person living within the USA and on every Official in the Government of our Country, states, counties and cities.

May Your name be held in awe and reverence and never taken in vain. May respect for Your Moral Law be placed in their hearts. May You be honored as You deserve to be for You are Worthy.

As a retired social worker and a Christian, having worked for thirty three years in the inner city schools my heart always yearned for these kids , that they could start their day with a prayer. But the word prayer was a forbidden ! I appreciate that the new administration has addressed the issue regarding the freedom of religion in our country. I pray and hope that like the school in Florida where students have been given the freedom to take time to pray, wish all public schools in the country would follow to do the same. Thanks for the article about Florida school, it was inspiring and giving hope.

Lord I thank you that you always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus. Make America the head and not the tail…above and not beneath. Make her to win and not loose over all our enemies. Because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. If God be for us who can be against us. Make America win and not loose in Jesus name. They that be with her are more than they that be with them.

Thank you so much for that great article on Faith v.s. fear. It is so great and awesome to walk in faith and not in fear. At times we are prone to become fearful and then God reminds us to walk in Faith so the spirit of fear has to leave . Again, thank you for such a Godly and needful article.

Great article! You are so right! I do NOT want to be among those who lay down their weapons of prayer. The example of Esther is an excellent one to follow.
