[Saturday] reports of rocket attacks in Baghdad and at a nearby airbase seem to indicate that things are heating up in the Middle East.
At least one rocket landed in the Green Zone of the Iraqi capital, near the U.S. Embassy, Reuters reported.
Another projectile landed near the Green Zone, The Times of Israel reported, citing the Iraqi military.
“An Iraqi security source: Two Katyusha rockets landed in the vicinity of the American embassy in Baghdad,” Al-Arabiya reported on Twitter in Arabic.
Reuters reported that two Katyusha rockets also hit Balad airbase, an Iraqi Air Force station that hosts U.S. forces and is located about 50 miles north of Baghdad.
The rocket artillery appears to have missed any personnel at the base.
Although it’s unclear at this point who launched the attacks, it’s not hard to imagine that pro-Iranian forces were behind the rockets.
The rockets may have been early response to the American killing of Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani, whose convoy was the target of a Friday morning drone strike.
While Iran has not confirmed how it will react, the country threatened the United States and President Donald Trump for the killing.
Also Saturday, a red flag of war was raised in one of Iran’s holiest cities.
It’s possible these attacks were the spontaneous result of local forces acting outside of Iranian control, but the rockets could have also been launched under the direction of the rogue state.
A clearer picture will likely come into focus as information surrounding these attacks comes out.

Father, we ask for Your intel to our military and intelligence agencies. We open up our military to Your Kingdom and shut the door to our enemy who has been operating without much resistance. Send Your angelic forces to confound our enemy, outsmart that crafty one, unravel the cords of confusion, rain on dry places and visit with suddenlies! Highest praise to our God, our Defender, our Redeemer, our Friend and the preserver of His Kingdom on earth as in heaven. Amen and Amen

Father as we see what’s unfolding, let us not be shaken. The Bible tells us of wars and rumours of wars, we cry out to you Lord. We are confident in you, so we choose not to bow to fear, instead we bow in prayer and seek your face. Have mercy on us Lord, hide us in the shadow of your wings. We pray for President Trump and his team of Homeland, & national security to seek your guidance and wisdom before acting. Let your presence guide their actions. We pray for the Iranian leaders to repent of their cruel ways and come to Jesus Christ and we pray Iranian people would have encounters with Jesus Christ. Father they have raised a red flag as an act of retaliation and war, but we have a red banner too; it’s called the blood of Jesus! Father we plead your blood over our nation, over our President, over our troops, and embassies, even over other nations who are our allies in the middle.
Father act accordingly to your word in Psalm 33:10-12
“Frustrate the plans of the nations and thwart all their schemes. Lord let your plans stand firm forever, your intentions can never be shaken. What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen as his inheritance.” Lord let none of Iran’s plans against us prosper, frustrate their plans and council. Restore our joy and let fear melt away our God is the Lord of hosts. You have heavenly armies ready to act at your command. Psalm 103:21 says the angels are listening, waiting to hear the word of the Lord. We thank you for you for your angels that are guarding our president, nation, people, embassies, and troops. Father I pray the like Jehoshaphat who was in the midst of a war, he lifted a song of praise and Thanksgiving to you. “Give Thanks to the Lord for he is good and his faithful love endures forever.” 2 Chronicles 20:1-35 ( entire chapter for reading) I pray that we would raise a voice of Thanksgiving in the midst of rumours and watch you give us the victory because Lord you are good! Lord your faithfulness does endure forever. Your goodness knows no end. We come in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord (ruler) and Savior ( our only saving hope).

Father, this is no surprise to You. You have warned us that in the last days there would be wars. These terrorists are revealed as the “pale horse” in Your Book of Revelation. Rather than cower in fear or apology, unite us. Call Your people to rise up and pray, to fast and pray, to pray and pray some more, as we see the terrorism of the world no longer hidden but out in the open for all to see. Guard Your people. Protect and deliver the helpless and homeless from the terrorism that seeks to destroy entire people groups all over the world. These wicked torment the helpless and enjoy it. It’s evil. It’s past time for righteousness to stand up against this evil. Rise up O Judge of the Earth.
Amen! And, Lord, bring more men onto this prayer site and join in agreement with these prayers. Father, let the men in this country rise up to be the priests and prophets You have ordained them to be. Help the men in America to shake off apathy and open their Bibles. Let them put down their phones, turn off their TVs and turn their hearts back to You. Father, multiply the numbers of people praying in agreement with us. And multiply the donations sent to IFA and multiply the influence that IFA has on social media and across this country. Help all employees and volunteers with IFA to be protected as they speak the truth and spread Your Word. Jesus, let truth be known across the world and revival take place as IFA seeks to speak truth in this dark world. Amen
