I Prayed have prayed
Oh Lord, as a nation we mourn over this violent weekend, not only impacting two communities, but the nation. We pray for your comfort, your presence, and your solutions to this problem in our nation. May our leaders ask you for wisdom.

[President Trump, as part of his response to the senseless killings in El Paso and Dayton, has issued this Presidential Proclamation to honor the victims.  In addition to his calls for stricter background checks, better care for mental illness, and other solution-oriented comments, he has chosen to honor the victims through this proclamation that calls for flags to be flown at half-staff in unified honor of the victims and grief of the families, communities, and nation. Below is the official Proclamation from the White House.]

HONORING THE VICTIMS OF THE TRAGEDIES IN EL PASO, TEXAS, AND DAYTON, OHIO

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

Our Nation mourns with those whose loved ones were murdered in the tragic shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, and we share in the pain and suffering of all those who were injured in these two senseless attacks.  We condemn these hateful and cowardly acts.  Through our grief, America stands united with the people of El Paso and Dayton.  May God be with the victims of these two horrific crimes and bring aid and comfort to their families and friends.  As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the terrible acts of violence perpetrated on August 3, 2019, in El Paso, Texas, and on August 4, 2019, in Dayton, Ohio, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, August 8, 2019.  I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this
fourth day of August, in the year of our Lord two thousand nineteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America two hundred forty-fourth.

DONALD J. TRUMP

Heavenly Father, In the Name of Jesus, our most Precious Lord, Savior, King of King, Lord of Lords, I thank you for this website which brings His people together to engage in prayer for all the needs, tragedies, problems confronting the world You created to be perfect. “Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”. I say, “Amen” to all the beautiful prayers above, and thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ. You are always with us. We are never alone. Amen

Dear Father God, We come to You in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ asking for Your divine wisdom to help our President and nation to deal with the senseless violence that has been unleashed against Your people. Father, we know that You and only You know how to deal with this and so we put our trust in You to speak to us and to our leaders. We as a nation humble ourselves before You and repent of our many sins that have separated us from You. Please forgive us Lord and draw us back to You so that we may walk in Your ways and Your blessings.

We pray for those affected by these shootings and ask for You to comfort them as they mourn. Draw your children back to You so that we will once again be “One nation under God, indivisible, with life and liberty for all.”

Psalms 34:18
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Lord bring your salvation to all those who are crushed in spirit because of this evil.

Father God, we come to you with heavy hearts. We lift up each person who was hurt by the evil acts that took place this week. We pray for comfort, healing, and peace. We lift up our nation, President Trump, and each and every legislature. This is so completely complex! Please help us. Please show us how to protect innocent people and still not infringe upon the right to protect ourselves that we have received from you…Please give wisdom to our leaders. Please show us what to do. Please show this nation how to seek YOUR HOLY face, how to repent, and how to pray. Please heal our land dear Lord. In the HOLY name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen!
