I Prayed have prayed
God we pray for the Christians in North Korea who are being persecuted. Protect them from harm, and give the government a heart to allow them to meet openly and worship You.

(Editor’s note – we will be highlighting countries where Christians are being persecuted and need prayer. Leave a comment and let us know that you prayed!)

The primary driver of Christian persecution in North Korea is the state. For three generations, everything in the country has focused on idolizing the leading Kim family. Christians are seen as hostile elements in society that have to be eradicated. There was hope that new diplomatic efforts in 2018—including the 2018 Winter Olympics—would mean a lessening of pressure and violence against Christians, but so far that has not been the case. Kim Jong Un has maintained his tight control over the populace, and dissent or worshiping anything else is not tolerated.

If Christians are discovered, not only are they deported to labor camps as political criminals or even killed on the spot, their families will share their fate as well. Christians do not even have the slightest space in society, on the contrary, they are publicly warned against. Meeting other Christians in order to worship is almost impossible and if some believers dare to, it has to be done in utmost secrecy. The churches shown to visitors in Pyongyang serve mere propaganda purposes.

Lord Jesus, I pray in agreement for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted. Father, protect them and radically change the government and the leaders of this country so that they would turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God so that they will receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ Jesus. Lord your kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen 🙏🏼

May their Heavenly Father be constantly with them. How inadequate I feel when I pray for these saints. I thank the Lord for tongues.

Oh Lord God,
May You pour out Your mercy and blessing upon Your children in North Korea. Cover them in the shadow of Your wings. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and deliver them from evil. In the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Give these people who are made in your image visions of Jesus. You alone, Oh God can reach them. Your power and love can not be contained by human walls or political pressure. You are a God of unfathomable mercy and wisdom. Upset man’s plans, Oh God of mercy. Reveal yourself to them, Almighty God, Name Above All Names!

We ask of you Lord God, according to Psalm 2, that you would give us the nation of North Korea and its people for your everlasting inheritance. Break the rods of iron that hold them in captivity. That North Korea will become a sheep nation that will honor God, honor the people of God, and become a beacon to the rest of the world for the manifestation of the love and power in that great name, JESUS!

Give your sons and daughters in North Korea confirmation that the body of Christ around the world are praying for them

Thank you Lord for the courage, boldness and dedication of Christians in North Korea. Such people
and character forms the foundation of a huge revival. The potential for revival is why the enemy is
so ruthless in dealing with believers. Use these brave people for your glory, O Lord God.
