I Prayed have prayed

The frustrations underlying the protests in France are understandable, but the violence is not. Pray for peace in France and in the United States, where we are also experiencing division over governmental policies.

[T]he Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Num 6:26)

The mass movement against French President Emmanuel Macron’s move to increase gas taxes was started by one person who wanted to hold the government accountable for making life tough on every day citizens.

France’s steep taxes on diesel fuel and other forms of carbon is making life miserable for those who rely on vehicles for work, according to Priscillia Ludosky, a French citizen who lives in the country’s rural areas. She is also responsible for starting an online petition in May protesting gas taxes.

The petition garnered more than 800,000 signatures between the months of May and November. Ludosky’s decision to act likely stemmed from the nearly $170 per month she is forced to spend on fuel to travel into Paris for business. . . .

Protesters associated with the so-called Yellow Vest movement – which is made up of left-wing and right-wing populist elements – have effectively turned the country upside down. Paris police say at least 110 people, including 20 police officers, were injured in violent protests over the last two weeks. . . .

Ludosky wants the French government to listen to her and take a different approach to tackling climate change. “Too often the government forgets that it works for citizens,” she told a local French media outlet in November. (Excerpted from The Daily Caller, reporting by Chris White.)

When their is lots of fear, it can explode into lots of anger. Lord God, i think their is a story behind the story here, and i would ask you to unveil what is really behind this devastating riot. Lord, we know there are groups here in America that are anarchists that fuel hate in demonstrations that would have been peaceful left to themselves. Help us all, in America and in France, to not let anarchists use us as ponds for their destructive goals. I pray for the churches in France to be solid bible believing christian of great faith that pray for their country. In Jesus name, Amen

Heavenly Father, We come to you to seek peace for France. I pray you will speak to the leaders in France revealing to them better ways to run their country and meet the needs of the citizens. Give the leaders creative new ways to reduce the climate problems. Only You know whether we are causing climate changes due to carbon emitted by our vehicles, furnaces, etc. Reveal the Truth to us Father. Show us how to live responsibly on the earth you have have given to us as our home. Help us to rule with wisdom and authority. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Will be praying for France. Ludkowsky’s comment “Too often the government forgets that it works for citizens,” can also be said of our government in the USA.
