I Prayed have prayed
O Lord, You are our Praise — we lift our hearts and voices to You! We glory in our resurrection with You!

IFA originally published this item in 2019, but we think its message is both timeless and relevant to our present days. We pray that the grace within it will bless you during this Resurrection season. Share it with others to bless and encourage them as well! — eds.

The Lord recently reminded me of a dream during Easter of 2014. The Lord wanted to remind believers that our high praises to the Lord have resurrection power! I was awakened from the dream sensing the call of heaven to praise.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

In the dream, I had been sitting in a large gathering of believers, getting ready to start worship. There were many assembled, even though the gathering didn’t seem very well organized. Everyone was sitting and waiting. Being the worship leader, I began to raise my voice to declare the goodness of God, even while seated in my chair. As I did this, I noticed some background noise that seemed to be drowning out my voice. Yet, as I lifted my voice above the distraction, I could feel the pleasure of God. I sensed that there were other voices to be heard.

I invited others to speak a sentence or two of praise to usher in God’s presence. Without hesitation, a young woman came to the front with her Bible in hand and lifted her voice to give praise. Even as she made her declaration, others quickly followed to line up and speak out God’s Word in praise. This invitation to declare His goodness was now taking on a life of its own as hungry hearts quickly responded to the call of heaven. It would be His praises that would break through the din of noise and confusion to usher in His presence and bring order to the chaos.

This dream is still relevant today as the Lord is encouraging believers to RISE UP and give Him praise. Even as many have been seated in positions of tarrying and waiting on the Lord, He tells us to “rise up and let the praises of God be heard!” The Enemy has tried to drown out the praises of God through our murmuring, complaining, and false reports of many kinds. But the praises of God can drown out that interference! The distractions that have come to stifle heaven’s praise cannot withstand the praises of a holy people who are in love with the King.

It is the sound of God’s people praising Him for His mighty deeds that can overshadow and overcome the noise of the Enemy’s lies and accusations. Some conflicts will not be overturned through mere rebukes or binding; they will be overcome through those who have the praises of God on their lips and the Word of God in their hearts. It will be those who have determined to rise up from the place of weariness and defeat to praise Him who can give us authority over the noise of the Enemy.

Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 149:6–9 ESV)

Even as we continue in steadfast prayer for our nation this Resurrection season, let us not forget the power of our praises to defeat and displace the works of the Enemy. Remember to start and end your times of prayer with thanksgiving and worship to our wonderful Redeemer, who has broken down every barrier, overturned every work of the devil, and rolled away the stone — defeating death!

RISE UP, Church, and let the praises of the Most High God be heard in the land this season. Declare His goodness in the land of the living to usher in resurrection life and glory.

As you rise up and open your mouth, He will fill it! (see Psalm 81:10).

Blessed Resurrection Sunday, intercessor! Why not share some praises of your own below?

Praise God I believe prayer and praise together open up the heavens and things happen in our natural world, heaven comes down as the scriptures say: He inhabits the praises of his people and when that happens miracles happen and chains are broken. Praising the Lord today for everything he has done and for our marvelous salvation from death.

God loves to hear our praise! And even in our darkest times, as we give Him praise, He is always quick to lift us up & out of whatever we are going through, whenever the enemy attacks, trials, valleys we must go through, etc. He carries us through them all! PRAISE HIS NAME!

Thank you O Lord God, the Eternal and True One, for being mindful
of us. We are miniscule compared to you and yet you care for us.
Thanks be to You that when we praise You we do much more than make
ourselves “feel good”. The euphoria is there, but your released power and the influence it has in the spirit world is enormous.
You and you alone have made it so.

The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome. the conquering power that brings the world to their knees is our faith. the Holy Spirit confirms the truth, the reality of God’s presence at Jesus’ baptism and crucifixion, bring those occasions alive for us. the God-begotten are also the God-protected. What a gift!
Praise the Lord!

We have been meeting for 2 years on Monday nights for praise and worship. Decreeing and declaring that of His government and peace there shall be no end. At the cross the Christ reconciled us to God and opened the gates of righteousness to us. As he is so are we in this world. Lifting our worship into heaven and bringing down the life and blessings He longs to pour over us for His glory. We have always been praises but this 2 1/2 hours every Monday has had a great impact on us and in turn on others. I highly recommend you to take any time that can be offered to God as incense.
