I Prayed have prayed

“90% of pastors agree in America (in a survey completed in 2013 by George Barna)…that the Bible speaks to the cultural, political, and social issues of the day. But, when asked later in that same survey, ‘Will you pastor? Have you spoken or will you speak out on the cultural, political issues of the day according to Scripture? 90% of them said ‘No’. And there – is the problem.” (Pastor Jim Garlow)

At a prayer conference near Washington, D.C. in November of 2018, Pastor Jim Garlow spoke to a group of national leaders and intercessors. His charge to pastors in this nation was to step up to the plate and speak to the cultural, political, and social issues of the day according to Scripture. Though there are certainly other people and political powers contributing to the downfall of our culture through ungodly legislation, Garlow says that the primary responsibility for changing the mindsets and practices within our nation rests in the pulpits of America. Without a clear teaching of the Word of God, believers now, and in the years to come, will have no standard of truth and no understanding of godly government.

Watch the video and then pray for pastors across the nation to rightly divide the word of truth, boldly proclaim the Kingdom, and empower their congregations to address the issues of the day through solid biblical principles.

To know what is right, and then not do it is bad. to be a Pastor who knows the truth and does not preach it is worse. Lord God, we pray that our Pastors would have Holy fear of You. We pray that they would understand their need to lead their people well. As Franklin Graham said, “they are going to take your tax exemption away anyway, so preach as the Holy Spirit leads you”. Lord, political issues are a maze and the parishioners need leading from the pulpit to navigate it. I ask that you would discipline your children who have the privelege to lead us. In Jesus name, Amen

My pastor does comment once awhile on some of the sins of our culture. I think he should encouraged us to vote in this last voting last November. At least we could have put out what each candidate believed. I think he is scared of our 501C which dies not prevent talking about our issues as a country. I don’t know whether to say anything? Can u help

Thank you Lord God, for the guidance you gave us on this issue of popularity based preaching. Pastors are watchmen set in array by the Sovereign Lord. They must warn the people or the people blood will be on their heads. Secondly you exhort your people to preach in season, out of season; to spare not, cry aloud, lift up your voice like a trumpet and show my people their transgressions as it says in Isaiah. Restore zeal for scripture in your leadership hosts Lord. Let the truth flow from your pulpits. Praise you, O Great King and Creator.
