I Prayed have prayed
Lord Jesus, thank You that no matter what goes in our nation or our culture, You are in control. Thank you for Pastor Brunson. Encourage and direct him.

The evangelical Presbyterian pastor whose two-year imprisonment in Turkey sparked a geopolitical firestorm issued sobering words for Americans during a religious liberty conference last week.

Pastor Andrew Brunson lived as a missionary pastor in Turkey for decades until being detained in October 2016, following an alleged failed coup attempt against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. His arrest sparked a diplomatic spat between Turkey and the U.S. in which President Trump involved himself personally.

During an interview at the Western Conservative Summit, held annually by the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University, Brunson claimed that the Judeo-Christian basis for American values is eroding.

“First of all, I think it’s coming to the U.S., that there will be persecution,” he said. “I was isolated for a few years, and coming back to the states was almost like coming back to a different country in many ways. And I’m really astounded at the speed with which, I think, the U.S. is imploding.” (Excerpt from the Washington Examiner.)

Watch the interview below. When IFA Staff met Pastor Brunson in May, we asked him how intercessors could continue to pray for him. He asked us to pray for him and his wife as they discern God’s leading for the future. Will you pray for him?

Thank you, Sir, for being such a faithful witness to us in midst of persecution. So many were praying for your release and God was and is faithful, but know it was very difficult for you and your family. My heart trembles at the judgement that has to be for our America. He has been patient and merciful to us a long time, but we are a stiff-necked people also. My hope is in Him alone. May God bless you with total healing and guidance in the year ahead. Thank you for sharing.

“IF” (MY) people, who are (called) by (MY name. 2Chron.7:14 His people are sheeple. They go along to get along.
Political Correctness; they don’t want to
offend anybody.

At Covenant Pres. An EPC church in Mobile and a supporter of Rev. Brunson we talk about Our Jesus and the Gospel only. In addition we also are aware of present and the near future of the direction of of the culture. We know that our God is in control and his plans for us are to His glory. All is well under His care.

I once was young and now am old. But…I know that I know the righteous will never be forsaken or begging for bread.
The Lord has preserved my life through situations around the world.
As Pastor Brunson stated: to take a stand is difficult but you recall, it wasn’t just Jews who ended up in the gas chambers.

Our God reigns..

So how many of us mean it? Are you at the theme parks and choosing among 200 TV channels, or are you on your knees praying? Don’t tell yourself that praying on knees is only for 1700s saints.

Thank you to Pastor Brunson and his words of warning to the U.S. churches. Sometimes I think we are like the proverbial “frog in the pot” and don’t realize how much the heat has been turned up already. Lord, please continue to guide and direct us in how to handle the rising heat.

I agree wholeheartedly. We all have to stand up for our Christian beliefs. I quit going to the district varsity training sessions at our local university–they always put down Christians

Thank you for the faithful service of Pastor Brunson. Thank you for his warning of our depraved state
and the beginning of persecution. May we return to you whole heartedly so you can clean this mess up.

Dear Pastor Brandon, as Queen Esther in Holy Scripture (Esther 4:14), was placed in power to protect the Jewish Nation, could your warning for America, today, come from our God to prepare us for persecution to come? We must turn to God to be our protection “for such a time as this”! Thank you for your ” wake-up call, Pastor! He “rescued you” to help rescue America! …

NO don’t report. REPLY. This has been our (Christian) problem for too many years; we walk away from the difficult and the uncomfortable. Instead of boldly speaking in conferences, meetings, classes and putting out a challenge of view, we walk away with frustration. Yes, I am guilty; [probably 90% of us are).

With Sat and Sun news, everyone one is talking about “what needs to be done?” – how do we address mental health issues?, gun-control must be enacted; no place for hate, racism, bigotry. Where are the minister’s standing up and holding government, schools, Churches, families accountable for walking away from our moral and spiritual foundations and for abandoning accountability?

Pastor Brunson is exactly right; we are imploding from the inside in so many ways – morally, spiritually, financially, the way we govern, criminally, parental and family rights, socially, almost anything you can name. America needs and is probably going to receive and awakening and revival and it may be bad, before or with the good.

Again, I pray Oh God, our Father, save us – America, Christians from ourselves, before we do destroy what you have given us (not just environment/climate issues), but our FOUNDATION. Thank you, oh Father for abundant grace, mercy and blessings to us.
