Pray for an increase in liberty to preach the uncompromised Word of God without fear of retribution from any governing body or agency.
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;” (Isaiah 61:1)
It’s a rare day when the taxman is taken to task for going easy on taxpayers. But self-described “nontheists,” who are behind an unusual campaign to badger believers, march to the beat of the doubter’s drum. Not content to simply give churches they despise a wide berth, they’ve gone to court to force the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to serve as grand inquisitors, to examine a pastor’s sermons for any hint of commentary that could be construed as political. This clearly violates the very principle they claim to honor, the separation of church and state.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation argues that “most social and moral progress has been brought about by persons free from religion,” and is suing President Trump and IRS Commissioner John Koskinen for failing to enforce the Johnson Amendment, which since 1954 has directed churches to vet sermons for political content or risk losing their tax-exempt status.
Last week, lawyers for the Rev. Charles Moodie of Chicago, and Rev. Koua Vang and Rev. Patrick Malone and his Holy Cross Anglican Church of Wisconsin, filed a memorandum with the U.S. District Court for Western Wisconsin in support of the Trump administration’s asking that the atheists’ suit be dismissed.
The attempt to censor sermons is bad for the church and it’s bad for the state,” wrote Daniel Blomberg, legal counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which represents the pastors. “This is one place where a little more separation of church and state would go a long way.”
In May, Mr. Trump signed an executive order on religious liberty that directed the Treasury Department to refrain from taking “any adverse action against any individual, house of worship, or other religious organization on the basis that such individual or organization speaks or has spoken about moral or political issues from a religious perspective.”…
In its effort to “defend the constitutional separation between religion and government,” the foundation would install IRS agents in the pews on Sunday to listen with pen and paper (or tape recorder) at the ready for any inference or parenthetical aside from the pulpit that might be construed as lending any consolation to a parishioner’s soul.
By attempting to censor pastors, the “nontheists” — atheists by another name — are trying to banish any evidence of faith from the public square. The Soviets tried this during their 70-year reign. When Soviet Russia collapsed, religious expression came roaring back. A Pew Research Center survey in May found the proportion of residents in former Soviet bloc nations who identify as Orthodox Christians ranges from 92 percent in Moldova to 71 percent in Russia. Those who consider themselves Roman Catholic range from 87 percent in Poland to 56 percent in Hungary. There are other Christians, Protestant dissenters, who add to these percentages.
If religion survived the godless Soviet era, it won’t be dislodged by the doubters, heretics and other unbelievers who seek to use the law to promote their own faith in nothing. I believe that holy scripture has the power to bring the change needed; it does not come back void but accomplishes what God wants. But (as ) you, teach what is fittingand becoming to sound (wholesome) doctrine (the character & right living that identify true Christians). No one born (begotten) of God (deliberately, knowingly, & habitually) practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him (His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him); and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God. What are we to do, that we may (habitually be working the works of God? (What are to do to carry out what God requires?) Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you; that you believe in the One Whom He as sent. To the person whoever pleases, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I loved you, so you too should love one another. Lord, have mercy on us for not standing against the tide of evil, being more concerned for a tax exemption than standing for the truth. Lord i lift up those who do stand and who have paid the price, i lift up Liberty Council who has been a “stand with Israel” advocate that is dealing with massive law suits from left organizations. I ask a hedge of protection around them and around the President who is trying to bring our freedoms back to us for religious liberty. We also remember Citizen Watch under Focus of the Family who had to close their doors because of a massive law suit without any basis, designed for the soul purpose to silence that voice of reason and truth. Lord we thank you that we still can gather to pray and go to public church, we ask your protection on this right. We ask that the justices that our President is trying to put into the many judicial positions that are open will be confirmed and that Justice would return to this country. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

I Pray Hods will and Grace for all Preachers! They would not Compromise the Word of God ! But speak Truth protect every Preacher from those who would try to Abort and Abolish Truth !
Pray atheists and socialists will no longer control the church. The 1st amendment was created to make sure the church didn’t answer to the gov. and that the state had NO control over the Church.
The world has tried for eons to silence the preachers. The Bible is clear, persecutions must come, Jesus said: “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” (John 15:20).
Father, I pray for every person who stands firm on your word to preach the gospel to every creature. Bless us with the faith that was once delivered to the saints. We pray for those whose events hve been blinded by the enemy that they might have sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Dear Father may your Truth shine bright in this darkness. I pray your Blessed annointing over ministers, may your Spirit direct and guide sermons to reach the souls of those present. Your word is filled with power; transforming power that produces fruit pleasing to you in which there’s no law. May we see this fruit abound as offerings to You love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, self control. In the name of your son Jesus.
