Oh God, how it must grieve you to see people trapped in the bondage of believing they are transgender. We pray for awakening of truth for each of these men.

In what appears to be a growing national trend, another public enterprise is being sued for failing to pay for transgenders’ costly sex-change surgery. The plaintiffs in this latest case are two veteran state workers—both men—in Florida who allege sex discrimination because the state’s insurance policy doesn’t cover surgical procedures to help make them women. One of them, Jami Claire, is a senior biological scientist at the University of Florida (UF), the state’s premier university, which is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The other, Kathryn Lane, is an attorney in the Tallahassee public defender’s office. Both men take hormones and undergo electrolysis to make them more feminine.

Now they want taxpayers in the Sunshine State to fund expensive surgeries to alter their genitals and face. Claire, who is 62 years old, and Lane, 39, claim to have gender dysphoria that requires gender-affirming care explicitly excluded by the state’s health insurance program which covers more than 350,000 employees and dependents. “Gender dysphoria is a serious, but treatable, medical condition,” according to the federal complaint filed this week is U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. “Left untreated it can lead to debilitating distress, depression, anxiety, impairment of function, substance abuse, self-surgery to alter one’s genitals, or secondary sex characteristics, self-injurious behavior and even suicide.” That makes “gender-affirming care” medically necessary, the lawsuit says, adding that singling out transgender employees for unequal treatment constitutes “unlawful sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Equal Protection Clause.”

Claire, the UF scientist, is a Navy veteran who has been living as a female for more than two decades and has a “well-established social and professional identity as a woman,” the complaint says. In 1997 he was diagnosed gender dysphoria and began taking hormones and undergoing electrolysis for hair removal. . . .In 2016 Claire resumed gender affirmation treatments to “live authentically as a woman,” a medical necessity, the lawsuit says, because Claire experienced constant stress, anxiety, pain and anguish as man. In 2018 Claire paid for a breast augmentation to feminize his body. Now he wants the state to pay for the surgical removal of his testicles, but his public insurance plan denied the procedure.

Lane, the attorney, also has a “well-established social and professional identity as a woman,” according to the complaint. He began experiencing gender dysphoria since the age of five but suppressed his “female identity” for many years, causing “severe depression and anxiety.” In 2012, Lane finally embraced his female identity and began hormone and facial/body hair removal treatments. . . .The lawyer wants the state insurance plan to pay for an expensive cosmetic procedure known as “facial feminization surgery” essential to treating gender dysphoria. “Facial features play an important part in being recognized as a particular gender,” the lawsuit says. “The public’s ability to recognize an individual as transgender based on their facial features places that individual at risk of violence, harassment, and discrimination.”

Governments are increasingly being forced to pay for the pricey cosmetic treatments of transgender people who claim to be stuck in the wrong body. Thousands of dollars are annually spent to give transgender jail inmates nationwide hormone treatments, laser hair removal and makeup. In Massachusetts a convicted murderer actually sued the Department of Corrections to pay for sex-change surgery. Last year a federal judge forced Wisconsin taxpayers to provide sex reassignment surgery and hormonal procedures for low-income transgender residents who get free medical care from the government. In his ruling, the federal judge wrote that Medicaid, the publicly funded insurance that covers 65.7 million poor people, cannot deny the medical treatment needs of those suffering from “gender dysphoria.” Officials estimate it will cost up to $1.2 million annually to provide transgender Medicaid recipients in the Badger State with treatments such as “gender confirmation” surgery, including elective mastectomies, hysterectomies, genital reconstruction and breast augmentation.

Lord God, I pray that you raise up strong and appealing voices to deal with this transgender issue with clarity and God-wisdom and reason to counter and obliterate the evil one’s demonic tactics and arguments. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I thank God my parents didn’t give me hormones when I was young and wanted to do “boy” stuff and was a “tomboy”….
I pray for these men and women and parents who are believing the lies of the evil one. God doesn’t make mistakes.

Amen, amen, and amen!! I have said many times on this site that I am very discouraged that Obamacare did not help me get the medical coverage I needed. For years I have been fighting the insurance company for needed coverage. I needed medical care for valid, proven, reasons- Asthma. But instead of the government helping me get life- saving medicine, I was told I needed to come up with $60,000 for my treatments. Doesn’t it seem like we live in the Twilight Zone when life- saving treatments are denied but plastic surgeries are approved??? Can I claim I need plastic surgery on my lungs in order to get the healthcare I need? I have already told the doctors that the inability to breathe and the coughing are embarrassing. They did not offer me free coverage for office visits to my asthma doctor. They did tell me I could see a counselor at $100 per hour at my expense. Yet, other people obtain free coverage for plastic surgery. Hmmmmmmm…..

Lord raise up chosen people appointed by God to expose the lie about this transgender agenda and to reveal God’s truth about our true identity in Christ Jesus. We cast down and destroy every false belief concerning this grave sin and raise up the word of God which says we are made in His image and are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. Touch the hearts of parents everywhere to teach their children the way of the Lord through His word training them up in the way of righteousness and holiness. I pray that these taxpayers funds will be given instead to advance the kingdom of God in this age.
Amen

One wonders if baby boomers will be able to get tax funded face lifts and
Tummy tucks due the extreme anguish of losing our youthful identity and being shunned by society?
(Is this not the next argument?)
Praying for serious Christian counseling for these men and women being so beaten down by the enemy of our souls!! May God protect and bring them to Himself for healing and
joy of how special He formed them in The womb- intricately embroidered !
I used to hate being a woman until God showed me how before the foundation of the world , I was already in his heart waiting to be sent to earth to fulfill His purposes and His foreordained destiny that was peculiarly mine . No one else could do it . He made me a woman because He loved me before I ever walked the earth. It was not punishment, but love. Now I love being what He in His wisdom and in His heart of extreme and perfect love made me to be!! Hallelujah!

I have a transgender daughter who believes she is a he. I do not believe God/ Jesus makes mistakes. We do not allow her hormones because that would only solidify this gender confused state of mind that she’s stuck in. We love her where she’s at as if she dressed like a girl or in goth or emo.
Now if the child was born with both male & female features I personally believe a surgery of that nature would be valid after puberty after they figure out which gender they most identify but to force insurance companies to pay for the surgeries of those people who have perfectly functioning organs is obscured. Puberty is hard enough as it is but to give a teen hormones that will negate and oppose their birth gender, I personally believe, only encourages this idea they passionately cling to. Pay for therapy yes but surgery – no. Surgery and cost for gender alterations should be the sole responsibility of that individual not every tax payers.
I have economic dysphoria. I believe our family should be wealthier than we are. I also struggle with weight dysphoria. I know I should be thinner than I am. I’m not going to court to argue my selfish right to earn more money or to get liposuction every few years. I understand the former issue is serious but kids get bullied and can be depressed and suicidal for so many reasons. That isn’t a justifiable reason for judges and lawyers to push this agenda in our courts to force taxpayers to pay for this illness. Gender confusion is a huge attack on our Creators perfect word. It screams of distrust, rebellion and rejection on behalf of the confused person. They need to be accepted and loved where they’re at. They need a kind community and therapy and if they can afford hormones and surgery than they themselves can save up and pay for it.
I think I might be carnivore dysphoric and I believe I should only consume human meat. Does that mean I can murder my next door neighbor because grocery stores don’t carry cannibalized meat?! What flavor Koolaide are they trying to force us to drink???

I agree with you. I am
Not judging anyone else for their feelings- not your daughter or my cousin. I just want to know how I can get free medical treatments if other people are getting them with my tax dollars.
