This week’s hearings showed how clearly and desperately our leaders need our prayers. Download our new resource, Prayer Guide for Electing Righteous Leaders, to guide your prayers.

“I will restore your leaders as in days of old, your rulers as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.” (Is. 1:26)

In yet another bizarre turn of events at Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing, Republicans have revealed that documents Democratic Sen. Cory Booker published Thursday morning in supposed defiance of Senate rules had already been cleared for release.

“All of this drama this morning apparently was for nothing and it’s unfortunate,” Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, told reporters after a chaotic start to the third day of Kavanaugh’s hearing.

Earlier Thursday, Booker dramatically said he would “knowingly” violate Senate rules to release emails marked “committee confidential” that showed Kavanaugh discussing racial profiling as a White House lawyer in 2002. Booker referred to his actions as an act of “civil disobedience” and said he was prepared to face punishment.

“I am going to release the e-mail about racial profiling and I understand that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate,” said Booker, a possible 2020 Democratic candidate for president.

At another point, Booker said, “This is about the closest I’ll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.”

But it turns out, Booker didn’t actually break any rules. The Republicans on the Judiciary Committee said they worked with the George W. Bush library and the Justice Department overnight to clear the emails. The restrictions were waived early Thursday morning. . . .

Meanwhile, outbursts from protesters continued to interrupt the proceedings, as they have all week.

“Confirmation hearings are supposed to be an opportunity for the American people to hear from the nominee,” Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said. “Unfortunately, it seems that some on the political left have decided to try to turn this hearing into a circus.” (Excerpted from Fox News.)

  1. Dear Emma, as an intercessor, we pray for others. If you believe Karen’s warning was “off”, pray for her, stand in the gap. However, I will say to you, she is speaking truth about the 501 3c. It was called the “Johnson” ammendment and it muzzled the church in speaking out about politicians. It was meant to do that. It trades freedom to speak freely, for or against, for no taxes to the donations/tithes and offerings. Jesus told us to render unto Ceasar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s. I do know of some ministers who have seen the snare and hopefully stopped. It gives government a “control”, where there should be none and in the early 2000’s, they came after some big name ministries wanting a list of contributors. Lawsuit was won by mininsters and no names were given, breach of privacy for one thing and may have been given to the IRS for further persecution, as Tea Party members were targeted a little later. Were I to go into full time ministry, I would not become a 501 3c applicant. I would urge ministers every where to come out from under it and pay taxes. The church should not be a business, it should be a ministry at all times. Jesus paid taxes. Freedom curtailed in any way can become a foot in the door for further encroachment. Praying for you and our sister Karen. Love never fails…

  2. The comment by Karen is utter nonsense. Why do Christians keep attacking one another. These remarks paint with a broad brush condemnation on the Body of Christ as a whole. This is an intercessors network. Where is the love and compassion to see the Body of Christ prosper -spiritually- and become holy. Christ died for the CHURCH. I know of no Pastor that considers the 501c3 a barrier to speaking the TRUTH.

  3. The Churches that are underthe 501c3 areunder the coveringof baal,They signed a contract literally with the devil.AND THE CHURCHES THAT ARE UNDER THIS CONTRACT LITERALLY SOLD THEIR VOICE TO STAND FOR RIGHTEOUS AND STAND AGAINST ANY POLICTICAL OPINIONS ALL THIS IS ON YOUTUBE UNDER 501C3 CHRISTAINS NEED TO WAKE UP THESE CHURCHES HAVE BECOME BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS. THIS IS WHY THE CHURCHES THAT ARE UNDER THIS COVERING HAVE BEEN SILENT.THEY HAVE SOLD THEIR VOICE FOR THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER.MONEY READ ABOUT JEZEBEL,Baal worship and believe the word of God doesn’t lie.Mark Taylor has alot that the Lord has been giving him prophetic prophecies that are being fulfilled.Youtube.

  4. Praise you Lord that you have made us one body, and that you knit us together in Your love. Give to all us your great wisdom as we revere you as our King. Lord you know the great evil that has invaded our halls of power in this country, we stand with you against it. You know we are dealing with a cold civil war, let not this divisive spirit bring contention to your children who pray.

Lord i thank you for IFA and all the work they do for your Kingdom.

Lord, you tell us that Israel only worked right when Judges ruled her. We continue to petition you for Justice to return to our land, Lord. We continue to pray for Judge Kavanaugh and his confirmation. In Jesus name, Amen

  5. God I been praying with confident take control of these room guide these leader to resist and guide him with your holy spirit dont let him be embarrassing hi is your son and trust on you in Jesus Name we pray.

  6. I disagree with Cathy’s opinion. Being a Christian demands one stand for righteousness, it exalts a nation. The clear division of light and darkness between 2 political parties grows farther apart. While the Republican party is far from perfect, they stand as the best choice for a Christian and with hope of bringing that party into alignment with God’s Word. Many need to be removed and replaced by Conservative Christians. Far too long Christians have been silent, BIG mistake. Evil has been encroaching. The Democrats have chosen abortion to be on their platform and even voted to expel God from it at one time. They have adopted lawlessness, rebellion and witchcraft. They have many Muslims pushing Sharia law. They want to rewrite or remove our God inspired Constitution. I could go on, but I think most who are aware and keep knowledgeable know they are on a downward spiral, have been for years, I left that party in the 80’s. While I am less than 100% pleased with Republicans, they are not as far gone, need replacements badly. That is why I have asked God to remove them as He sees fit. I asked him to remove Ted Kennedy and John McCain and He did. (I doubt I was the only one praying for that.) What God has since shown me is both had a reprobate mind, that is why they died of the same cancerous brain tumor, on exactly the same day, August 25, 9 years apart. We pray against spiritual wickedness and though our weapons are not carnal, the necessity of picking up the sword may come. I am a prayer warrior willing to become a physical warrior as Israel has had to do many, many times when being invaded by those out to annihilate them. Keep exposing darkness, especially the pedophile cultic rings among “elites” in high places. “Choose ye this day, whom ye will serve.” Joshua 24:15. “…I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, choose life…” Deut, 30:19. Pray for discernment, some can saved, some cannot. Read Romans 1:16-32. Listen to God.

  7. Cathy, Our government has become so corrupt that truth is not held in high esteem anymore. Its not about Republican or Democrat, its about people who have lost their way and are destroying our country for their own gain. We are in a spiritual battle right now where the enemy has infiltrated our churches, our government, our education system, our entertainment industry, and our families. The goal is to destroy our democracy and bring our country down. We are already seeing the chaos that the evil one has started. You say it is not mission of the church to take political sides. Maybe not, but it is the mission of all Christians to battle the demonic forces at all times. It just so happens these demonic forces have infiltrated our government. Jesus says to pray for out leaders and those who represent us. When these people are godless and show disregard for basic respectful behavior it is important for us to pray for them. Some of these people are so blinded by their own pride, that they cannot serve their roles as representatives in congress.

Basically the church has stayed away from politics and look where it has gotten us. I see the church has become ineffective to battling the problems we see in our country today. As Christians, we all have the power to move mountains through our faith and through prayer. I think it is important for us to use that power where it is so need today.

  8. Amen! Have been praying for another Great Awakening Revival for over 30 years. The times are ripe for revival among believers in Jesus Christ and then salvation will occur in non-believers as they see changed lives in us.

  9. I am distressed with the continuous unveiled promotion of fear and manipulation in many of your articles on political issues and candidates using the name and power of Jesus Christ and Christianity, when Christians and church leaders should be focused on Jesus and His words and His example. He came and died for our sins and has begged us to promote love of God and love of our neighbors promoting social justice and human rights for all and especially sinners, the poor and the suffering, not just the self-righteous, rich and powerful. I believe the conservative evangelical church leaders and this publication is selling its soul to a political agenda and its wrong, disrespectful and manipulative of its church members and readers. Paul has admonished us that the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control! Jesus admonished “Render to Caear the things that are Caesars and to God the things that are Gods. Why has the evangelical church and this publication joined with the Republican Party?? It is not the mission nor vision of the evangelical church as Jesus intended to take political sides , but to encourage individuals to live daily lives that reflect their love for God and for their neighbors. I strongly encourage this publication to change its manipulative focus from politics to genuine love and living for God as Jesus so clearly admonished and lived. I believe such a focus will empower all to vote with discernment and live more effective and satisfying lives!!

  10. Father in the name of Jesus, we come against the spirit of division and separation in our Governmental Leaders. We release the spirit of unity. We take authority over all the chaos concerning the hearings for selecting and appointing a new Justice. We say let righteousness and truth prevail in our government in the name of Jesus. It is You O Lord that puts up one and takes down another. We declare that there will be unusual vindication and unusual exposure in our Nation. What the enemy meant for our downfall will backfire and be the great revival that has ever happened in our Nation. God will make our Nation great again and every knee will bow in the name of Jesus! Our God is Holy and Sovereign and Just! In Jesus name, Amen!

  11. Alas, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping His covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments. We have sinned and have committed iniquity and have done wickedly and have rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and from YOUR judgments…Now therefore, O God, Hear the prayer of Your servant and his supplications…O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not defer, for Your own sake, O my God. For Your city and Your people are called by Your name. Dan 9:4-5, 17, 19

I claim this ancient intercession for here and now, in USA- in the mighty name of Jesus
