The governor of Illinois recently signed a bill that will mandate public schools in the state teach LGBT history, beginning next year. The new legislation will require schools to incorporate “a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people” as part of the American history curriculum.

Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker (D) signed House Bill 246 into law on Friday, which will require schools to incorporate LGBT history in American history courses. The law mandates that all publicly funded schools in Illinois include “the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State” in official textbooks. [Incidentally, Pritzker’s brother is a transgender, identifying as a woman, and the mega-rich Pritzker family is a huge funder of LGBTQ groups.]
“Each public school district and State-recognized, non-public school shall, subject to appropriations for that purpose, receive a per-pupil grant for the purchase of secular and non-discriminatory textbooks,” reads the text of the legislation.
The bill continues:
In public schools only, the teaching of history shall include a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State. The teaching of history also shall include a study of the role of labor unions and their interaction with government in achieving the goals of a mixed free enterprise system. No pupils shall be graduated from the eighth grade of any public school unless he or she has received such instruction in the history of the United States and gives evidence of having a comprehensive knowledge thereof.
According to the legislation, the state’s Board of Education is now mandated to “annually publish a list of textbooks authorized to be purchased,” and is “authorized to provide annual funding to public school districts and State-recognized, non-public schools serving students in grades kindergarten through 12” for the purchase of the textbooks.
“One of the best ways to overcome intolerance is through education and exposure to different people and viewpoints,” said state senator Heather Steans (D) in a previous statement. “An inclusive curriculum will not only teach an accurate version of history but also promote acceptance of the LGBTQ community.”
“It is my hope that teaching students about the valuable contributions LGBTQ individuals have made throughout history will create a safer environment with fewer incidents of harassment,” added Steans. “LGBTQ children and teenagers will also be able to gain new role models who share life experiences with them.”
The new legislation will take effect next year, on July 1.

Lord, God of the universe, my heart breaks for what is ahead for America’s children. Oh God our Father, please help all educators who are against this immoral teaching to band together and stand against this publicly. May Your people band with them and make their voices heard loud and clear. May those in authority over us take action against the teachers’ union that dictates what is and isn’t to be taught. Father, I have known You since the age of nine and have known Your Word all my life. Therefore I knew this would happen but I really didn’t think it would be in my lifetime. You have allowed me to live beyond my three score and ten years and each day brings more sickening satanic evil to our land and the whole world. Precious God, Faithful and True, please make Your church strong and courageous. Help us to love our enemies and show them where they are wrong in such a Spirit filled way that they will realize the error of their ways and accept right teaching. Open the eyes of all those who are easily swayed and give them Holy Boldness to stand up and say, “NO” to this new law. May there be real backlash from those who are decent and good by human standards. May we all show others what a farce the “politically correct” scheme of the devil really is. Lord, forgive us Your people for buying into such stupidity in the first place. I pray You will expose those who seek to ruin this nation as the evil persons they are and that You will keep Donald Trump in the Whitehouse and help us to help him make America Great again. Father, America is up to her neck in a cesspool of immorality! What a horrible and ungodly state she is in. Each day brings news of a greater departure from the level of morality that You demand from human beings. There is no hope outside of You. May You continue to exercise patience and pity on our spiritually blind nation and world. Please send a fresh and powerful spiritual awakening to our nation and the world. We need to pray for the state of Illinois. Pray that they will reverse this bill – it will only confuse the children as to what is real and true and pure. This is a lifestyle that goes against God’s Word. God, please open the eyes of those in power in Illinois, and show them Your way, the ONLY way!
This LGBTQ structure is designed to program the next generation and create confusion both in the young but also in families. Well, I repent and ask forgiveness for those who are caught up in this life style, for governmental officials, teachers, administrators, school board members and parents for promoting the LGBTQ rhetoric, its life style and expecting others to agree with them in Jesus name. God created this next generation and we claim them for Him along with divine protection over each students. Parents, teachers, administrators and school boards arise and take a stand against this structure and I declare they are wise as serpents and gentle as doves in bringing down this structure choosing to love the people but HATE ungodly life styles. Awake LGBTQ and know the truth and be set free for Jesus sake. This structure is coming down!
Illinois is not alone. Sadly in our home State of NJ a similar piece of legislation passed and was signed by our Governor. Our children in public school will be exposed to the same teaching, which I understand was prepared in CA. No doubt other states are considering similar legislation.
Let us decree now…..the history of the LGBTQ community is NOT welcome in our public schools. We release confusion surrounding the implementation and we, the ecclesia, arise in objection to it. By the blood of Jesus, our authority was re-established to “rule” in the place where He planted us. And so from that place we rule with a loud commanding shout – “NO, not on our watch”!!

I pray that every Christian in Illinois will protest against this law. Especially those who have supported the Democratic party. I pray for either a change in the hearts of the state government or removal of all who voted for this.

Trust me, we did protest. We fought and prayed for over a year for this to not go through. After it did I wanted to pull my son from public school, but my husband believes we should stick it out. Please pray for us as we are currently forced to live in Sodom.

Just because a political group has power and money we pray 2Chronicles 14:11. Our schools are not experiments in social change by government officials. Give the material to the parents and they can decide these religious issues.

Father, we know that apart from you man’s heart is dark and wicked. Lord, I lift up our children to you. We know that what the Illinois governor is doing is against You and Your Word, and can only damage and confuse these children. I ask that You put a hedge of protection around these dear ones, that Your Holy Spirit would convict those in leadership of the wrong and the harm that is inherent in these aberrant teachings. It is only by YOUR power and YOUR Spirit that these things will be changed, and we ask that You DO change them, in the powerful Name of Jesus, and through the blood that He shed on Calvary. Amen.
