I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, refresh those of us who need refreshment. Help us all to recognize our constant need for You. Help us to jump back in to Your living water.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Are you feeling dry? Do you look jealously at other Christians around you and think, “I wish I had what they have”?

Are you like the woman at the well who talked to Jesus but was not yet drinking of the Living Water?

Do you look longingly to some season in your own past and say, “I wish I could just go back there to the time when God’s presence was real and alive to me and I experienced the river of His grace”?

My advice to you is elementary:

Simply jump back in.

If you know Him as Savior and Lord,

If you earnestly desire His presence leading your life,

If you are willing to yield yourself to the power of the Holy Spirit,

And if you can believe that He truly desires that river of living water flowing through your life…

Then simply jump back in…

now.

Sometimes we let religious habits intimidate us.

We make great plans to read our Bible for six more hours, listen to three worship albums, go to a conference, pray earnestly and fast, cry out to him with hearts of repentance and THEN if we do all of these things just right, we hope that the Living Water will flow again in our lives.

On any given day, I could recommend any one of those good activities just listed above!

But, even in those good activities, there is a danger. If we transfer our trust onto our own human religious activity and away from the simplicity of the good news of the gospel, dry times will overtake us because we have stepped away from His Presence and focused on ourselves.

God will not let His children follow formulas to find him. He is simply looking for those who will come to him by FAITH!

So I will say it again.

If you stepped away from the river…simply jump back in the same way you did before.

By believing that He is as near as your next heartbeat.

By yielding to the Living Water that flows in heaven from the throne of God.

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from

the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Revelation 22:1

Jump right in. There is scritpture that really got me was the one Paul told Timothy. “Stir Up The Gift Within you “. Trying the jump back in . What is your gift? God will answer, you may not want it but The Lord will continue to give the same answer until you say yes. Mine was and is intercession. I was in intercession for years but had grown tired and felt it’s just not working. After several years nothing else was either. The echoing of “stir up the gift within” kept coming. I finally gave in and said okay but I need your help.God did. And it has gotten better and better and still is. I got desperate enough to get back on track with Him. Praise the Lord. When you totally desperate God answers. Stir up the gift within.
