Facebook posts may be a new persecution tactic that Islamic extremists are using against Christians, says Open Doors Middle East Director. He just returned from Egypt when he learned about several incidents involving blasphemous Facebook posts.
Case in point: Fady Youssef Todary. The 26-year-old Egyptian Christian says that someone hacked into his Facebook account and posted something insulting to Islam. In response, Todary posted a video of himself saying his account had been hacked and apologized for the offensive message.
But that didn’t stop around 100 people from marching on Todary’s family home in Ashnin El-Nasara, a village in Minya south of Cairo. As his parents hid in a relative’s house, the mob raided the property and destroyed the family’s belongings….
Open Doors analyst Michael Bosch says the incident fits the pattern. “First, Christians are accused of insulting or threatening Islam. Next, they are attacked, their properties destroyed, and sometimes they are driven out of their houses.
“Then the authorities intervene, calming down the situation by arresting and prosecuting Christians for the alleged ‘crime.’” He added that it is unlikely the claims are true because “all Christians know the consequences of blasphemy.”

LORD JESUS, put a hedge of holy Fire around these faithful Christians in Egypt, who have been standing against the falsehoods of islam since 641AD. Grand that their witness to Your Truth may penetrate the minds & hearts of their neighbors, opening them to Your Light & Majesty, & closing them to the darkness of ha-satan. For those in “safer places” – please view the YouTube “The Sacred City of Mecca: Have We Got It Wrong?” by Dan Gibson. It is a very respectful, but scholary & scientific study which shows that there is NO archeological evidence to support the antiquity of modern Mecca earlier than about 800AD. There were NO ancient trade routes through that area. The Quraysh tribe, to which Muh’d belonged did not live there, but was hundreds of miles away! The descriptions in quranic & haddithic texts DON’T FIT present Mecca at all. All 12 ancient surviving mosques are aimed at a DIFFERENT PLACE — & it’s NOT Jerusalem!

We pray fro this family who had to endure the fear and the destruction of their property. It is so painful to be violated.Please help the truth to be revealed. Strengthen your children to love their enemies and to be able to live in courage in spite of their fear. Please make a way for them to be protected from this type of attack. Please pierce the heart of the ones doing it.
