Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Matthew Albence told reporters Tuesday that Congress is setting the agency up for failure as it tries to enforce targeted enforcement actions.
Albence spoke during a teleconference call with reporters to discuss the recent ICE operations that are targeting 2,000 illegal immigrants with deportation orders. ICE arrested 35 individuals in what Albence said is “just the beginning of the operation.” . . .
“There’s not just a humanitarian crisis,” Albence said. “There’s a public safety crisis — it’s a border security crisis. … Congress is kind of setting us up for failure on some of these issues.”
The “individuals could be anywhere in the country” and ICE has been pushing Congress regarding the “inability to detain” family units, he said.
“This is why we have said over and over and over again that something needs to be done,” Albence told reporters. “The situation right now where we have these families who can come in — we have no way of validating any of their information that they’re providing. We have no way of detaining them.” . . .
Albence also hit back at reports that referred to the operation as “raids.”
“Calling these ‘raids’ does a disservice to everybody that’s involved in this process,” Albence said Tuesday. “At no point were we conducting raids. We were conducting targeted enforcement actions against known individuals who were previously apprehended by the border patrol after entering the country illegally.”
“Taking a targeted enforcement action against a specific individual who is in violation of the law … is not a raid,” he said. (Excerpt from the Daily Caller.)

A federal judge ruled Wednesday that the Trump administration can enforce new restrictions on asylum for people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border while lawsuits play out in the courts. Judge Timothy Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia denied a request for a temporary restraining order, saying the immigrant advocate groups that sued did not show that the policy would irreparably harm their work.
The new rules prevent most migrants at the southern border from seeking asylum in the United States if they passed through another country first. (Excerpt from World.wng.org.)

Holy Father,
You are the Creator and One who establishes nations. You grant authority to kings and presidents. You speak of boundaries and walls. You set governments in place to make laws to protect their people. Thank you for the ICE agents who are seeking to protect this great nation. We cry out to you for your help for them. Please Lord- there are so many lies being perpetrated today. Sometimes it reminds me of the verse in the OT that says that truth had fallen to the ground. It seems that the media as a whole has become a dispenser of spin rather than reporters of fact. Please reveal the truth of the matter by exposing it to everyone. So many people are buying into a lie because that is what they are being fed. We cry out to you for truth and justice. We cry our to you for protection and strength for those who are seeking to guard the border. We cry out to you for provision, protection and support for ICE as they do their jobs. In this day of mass media please make the truth abundantly clear. Please help the families that are living in all of that chaos. Please help the ranchers and towns along the border to begin to call on you for a solution. Lord- call your people to pray. Help us to band together as a mighty army of prayer warriors. Truly, we need you. We need to see your hand. Like the Psalmist we pray- won’t you rend the heavens and come down? As a nation we deserve judgement. But we are asking that in wrath you remember mercy.
Lord cover our border guards as a mother hen covers her chicks when danger is near. May they run to you for help and strength during these very trying times. Speak to the hearts of the judges that they might have compassion on those who try to carry out the law of our land and stand with them in defense of our nation.
Be our deliverer in these times of trouble.
Dear Lord, Your intervention is requested and required to circumvent the attacks of the enemy against law abiding citizens. Without measure they perplex the law and the judicial system with their stays and blockage of the rule of law. We recognize these actions as those of demon-possession. They are so arrogant that many do not stand up to them and progress is slim. We call them out in the name of Jesus that their tougues would be tied and rendered ineffective. We call out the fugitives from their hiding places and pray you will send them straight into the arms of ICE agents who will sleep well at night from the work they are doing in the name of Jesus.
Thank you Lord God for the fact that when the enemy comes in like a flood, you raise up a standard of righteousness against him. By your grace and righteousness are we delivered.

I thank you for making a way where there seemed not to be one as the enemy tries to use the court of law to stop the progress of helping the situation on the border. Continue to give wise plans to President Trump & his staff to bring law & order with compassion. Help The People be woke to the truth that Congress must do something to change the laws so the immigrants aren’t being exploited & put in danger by the lies they are being told. Until that happens give the Trump Administration plans to fix it and make a way where there seems to be none. I thank you in advance. In Jesus name. AMEN SO BE IT
Lord Jesus Christ Your Word gives us understanding of Your authority on earth to bring order against lawlessness. Thank You for giving us understanding and we agree in prayer with Your word in Romans 13:4-5 “For he (governing authorities) is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.” Bind those principalities, powers, world forces of darkness and spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenliness that are lying against Your Word and the authority of Your word for these ministers of the law against lawlessness. Loose our souls in Your nation from their lawless deeds at the borders and anywhere they have established ungodly rule and lording over men and women in lawlessness and injustice. Have mercy on us and protect us and deliver us from evil. In Jesus name and for Your sake and glory and honor that Your kingdom may come here on earth as it is in heaven.
Lord, we ask for wisdom for President Trump and his cabinet for the crisis at the southern border. Let the American people’s eyes be opened to the deception of satan tactics and the leftists agenda. Lord, we ask for your help in Jesus name.
Lord, please confuse the strategy of the demonic realm at the border. Make one lie prove another wrong until they kill each other and fall to the ground, in Jesus name, Amen.
All of these issues we are dealing with as a Nation have a force behind them to bring destruction to this nation and the immigration issue is one of them. We the people of this nation who believe that Jehovah God of the Bible brought this nation into being must present these problems to Him and believe that He will do just that, take care of them as we intercede in the Name if Jesus. Amen!
