Democratic Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley claimed during Wednesday’s impeachment hearing that hearsay could be better than direct evidence, in a stunning reversal of centuries of established legal theory. Watch the video below:
Quigley, while questioning Deputy Asst. Secretary of State George Kent and acting Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor attempted to make the case that their impressions of secondhand information could potentially be more valuable than direct evidence of what had occurred.
“I guess to close, a primer on hearsay, I think the American public needs to be reminded that countless people have been convicted on hearsay,” Quigley said. “Because the courts have routinely allowed and created, needed exceptions to hearsay. Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct as we have learned in painful instances and it’s certainly valid in this instance.”
“Will the gentleman yield, because none of those exceptions would apply to this testimony,” someone objected.
Impeachment Chairman Adam Schiff shut down the interruption, saying that it was “not the time for colloquy.”
A “colloquy,” the parliamentary equivalent of a football huddle, would have given members the opportunity to clarify what the hearsay exceptions were and how they did or did not apply to this particular hearing.
Donald Trump Jr. was quick to respond, tweeting, “Can you believe this insanity? “Heresay can be much better evidence than DIRECT EVIDENCE” according to Democrat Mike Quigley. Are you fricken kidding me? 3rd and 4th party info better than hearing it yourself? ”

Lord forgive us! Forgive us for not standing in the gap! We are here for such a time as this. Cement us your people together in love and steadfastness to do your work. Wake up your sleeping ones.
Everything has to shift because your people are on the scene. We speak Truth into the proceedings. We speak Truth to the people of the United States. We breathe the fresh air of truth and the presence of the Lord into that gaseous chamber of horror. The Lord Is Truth. The Lord is our lawgiver..
He will triumph. He will vindicate Donald John Trump and that right early so!
We need You Oh God! Father, You said if Your people would repent…Lord, we are a prideful, unbelieving and selfish people. And that’s the church as much as it is the nation. Father, please burden our hearts to repent of our sins! To repent in our homes, our families, our churches and for our nation. May You hear our prayers and stop this non sense going on in Washington. Father, we pray for the truth to be revealed, and for the things hidden in darkness to be exposed, for nothing is hidden from You our all knowing, omniscient, omnipresent God. In Jesus name we ask for Your protection over our President, his family and all the patriots working to protect this nation from the powers and principalities working against Your will.
Hear our prayers Oh Lord, oh God reveal Your will, that we may be Your hands and feet to accomplish Your will. Come quick Lord Jesus!

WE NEED EVIDENT, HONEST REPLIES …. NOT HEARSAY COMMENTS. THAT SHOULD NEVER BE ADMITTED. SINCE WHEN IS HEARSAY EVIDENCE TO CONVICT SOMEONE. THAT IS INSANE. PEOPLE ARE TO BE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. HEARSAY SHOULD NEVER BE ADMISSIABLE IN TESTIMONIES. THAT IS EVIL. THE BIBLE HAS STATED THAT “GOOD” WILL BE CONSIDERED “EVIL” AND THAT “EVIL” WILL BE CONSIDERED “GOOD.” GOD HAS FORWARNED US. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT MANY ARE BLIND TO THESE FACTS, UTTERLY DECEIVED.
My prayer partner and I were praying this afternoon and she commented that there’s demonic influence causing people to say and do illogical things.
As she said that, a picture immediately appeared in my mind of the scene in the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy throws a bucket of water on the wicked witch of the west and she melts.
We prayed that the Living Water of God will be thrown over and drench evil spirits so that they will be washed away and come to nothing.
