I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: < 1 minute

As an intercessor, I have learned through the years there is a cost to the call and an authority that only can be gained by going through some battles. I have been accused of being self-righteous and legalistic. I have been questioned about my credentials and debated on my protocols. I have warred with my mind and criticized my own journey. I have determined to maintain integrity and hope to be faithful. Through it all I have settled some things…

I pursue RIGHTEOUSNESS, not because of some set of rules, but because I want nothing to block my relationship with HIM.

I pursue HOLINESS, not to prove some higher aspiration, but because I long to be in His presence without any limitation.

I pursue right relationships with others, not to be favored or esteemed, but to be FREE AND CLEAR of any encumbrance.

I have found that the greatest FREEDOM I have is knowing there is nothing in me that the devil can use to shut me down, keep me bound, or stop my call.

Because of my ongoing relationship with Christ and my determination to be just like Him,

I don’t fear my enemies.

They fear the GOD inside of me.

And that makes it all worthwhile.

This is so good, Wanda. You’ve accurately explained things that I’ve struggled with as an intercessor…that only another intercessor can understand! Thank you for this! It’s a blessing! Blessings to you!

Wanda, you are a blessing to all of us, and IFA is favored to have a warrior on their staff! Your words are Right On, and they are the encouragement we all need these days.
Three times you mentioned the importance of motives. God is the only authority in our lives Who insists not only that we do all the right things, but that we do them for the right reasons. We find that the subtlest sins are doing the right things for the wrong reasons. (See Jesus’ comments on prayers, fasting, and giving to the poor in Matthew 6.)
God intends for us to be holy, and commands us to be holy, and as we look to Jesus “we are transformed into that same likeness, even by the Spirit of God.” II Cor. 3:18
However, we do not pursue holiness for a reward, nor even as a reward. We do it because we please our Heavenly Father by becoming what he designed us to be. Holiness, like Righteousness, is its own reward, and is the Fruit of our lives that the Father seeks.

This is so true that you have to be Holy as God is holy in dying world. We have to seek God’s face all day long. Be in His presence and then take it into world. We must keep our light shining. Be about our Father’s business sharing with everyone we come in contact of his grace and mercy showing them the way the truth and his light in this dark world. Let the Holy Ghost lead and guide us in all truths.

Amen, my sister. I will stand with you, by His Grace, looking only to Jesus.

This succinctly said what i have been struggling with. I copied it to my journal.

How important it is to be pure and holy in His sight.
A daily surrender.

If our light doesnt shine, how can light overcome the darkness? It can be intimidating with all the discrimination against truth, but, i will not fear my enemies, but instead they will fear the God inside of me. I like that

We must be bold and Speak out! We cannot be “closet” Christians. We need to first pursue righteousness and then be prepared to share the good news with this hurting world

What a great example what we all should be pursuing as overcomers in Christ and a great example of how to draw closer to our Lord in intimacy. Thank you for sharing
