I Prayed have prayed
Father we thank You that in You we are accepted. You promise that You will never leave or forsake us.

Rejection. The word may bring back memories of not fitting in as a child, of thinking of yourself in a distorted way, or of a painful break up or divorce. Most people have dealt with rejection in some form in their lives. Even Christians, who understand that Christ died for them on the cross to take rejection and shame (Heb 12:2), struggle with feeling unacceptable.

But there is hope. We do not have to partner with rejection. We can be free, if we understand the stronghold and how to break it.

Three different types of rejection can manifest in our lives – roots of rejection, fear of rejection, and self-rejection.

Roots of rejection are generational in nature and can continue down our family line until the curse is identified and broken. Christ paid the price for our freedom, but we need to appropriate that freedom by identifying and renouncing curses and lies so that the enemy has no legal ground to continue in that area of our lives, and by replacing those curses and lies with the truth of the Word of God. Some of the unholy fruit from a root of rejection can be guilt, shame, self-condemnation, and unbelief. If you struggle with  any of these, renounce each one in the name of Jesus, and declare these words of truth:  All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (Jn 6:37)

A fear of rejection, or a fear of man, comes from feeling like you never measure up and need to continually strive to please others. You may feel worthless, hopeless, and lonely. Only Christ can give us true worth, hope, and belonging. Again, renounce the unholy fruit in Jesus’ name. Putting Scripture on index cards, post-it notes, or phone notifications and declaring the opposite of each lie helps to get the truth from our mind into our heart. Instead of continually feeling hopeless, write down Romans 15:13 and declare it, aloud, until it replaces the lie with this truth: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Self-rejection is fueled by media, especially social media, and a standard which is unrealistic and very harmful. Eating disorders, self-harm, and, in extreme cases, suicide can be the fruit of this stronghold. Ask the Lord to show you how He sees you. A deep understanding the Father’s love for you will change the way you see yourself. Truly knowing that He never changes will give you the security to know you are accepted by Him. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 Jn 3:1)

A wonderful book on the subject of rejection is God’s Remedy for Rejection by Derek Prince.  In the book, Prince shows how rejection is at the root of many problems that we are facing as a society today.

By uncovering the lies that you believe about yourself and replacing them with God’s truth, you can live confidently knowing that you are accepted by our Father in heaven, and that He will never reject you.

I believe that God shows us what we need to see when it is time and this message about rejection is what I have been struggling with for quite some time. Very grateful for the message and prayers posted because I know that I am not the only one who deals or has dealt with this issue. It can isolate you from other Christians and the healing and deliverance so desperately needed. I believe that God has called me to go back into my church ask for prayer for healing and become a part of the family of God. So I pray that others who need the message of hope and the assurance of Gods love come into his light for the healing and his word that will carry them through to be confident in who they are in Christ.

I too, bind the devil on the cross. He will not have power to destroy love between families or for unborn babies. Or for friends
Or for our people elected President. We will firmly live with God’s blessings and love. People will work together to solve problems and enjoy life.

Dear Tracey, thank you for your teaching on rejection. I did not like the (Joker) in the movie Batman until I read what Dutch Sheets wrote about his brother Tim in Tim’s book on the Angel Armies. That may be the incorrect title, but my message is this: Dutch said about his brother Tim, you know that Tim, he studies, and he studies some more and you know what he studies a lot and to be a good teacher you must be a good student. So the Joker,(and I did not like his grin at all) said you know I like the devices of Batman!!! Wow, that spoke to me. Tracey, I like your devices. More tools in our tool box.

Father, God who has loved us so that even while we were yet sinners, You sent the Son and “He who the Son sets free is free indeed.” Set your people free from a fear of rejection. How can we as the people of God love others, that a world would see the Son in us when we reject the love of God. Set your people free and may the AGAPE LOVE of The Father change us that we would truly receive the love of God that the pure Love of God might flow freely from us as it did in Jesus. There are only three things that remain faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love. Set us free and may the WORD of God be made flesh in us. To God Be All Glory and Honor!!!
