FRANKLIN GRAHAM CALLS FOR DAY OF PRAYER FOR PRES. TRUMP SUNDAY, JUNE 2

Heavenly Father, let there be a loud cry of support for our President this Sunday as we lift him before Your throne of grace and mercy.

Evangelist, Franklin Graham is calling Christians across the nation to join him and other leaders in a day of prayer for President Trump this Sunday, June 2.

In his Facebook post, Graham wrote, “This is a critical time for America. We’re on the edge of a precipice,” Graham continued. “Time is short. We need to pray for God to intervene. We need to ask God to protect, strengthen, encourage, and guide the President. We know that God hears and answers prayer. He can soften hearts and change minds. He is all-powerful, and He rules over the affairs of nations. The Bible instructs us to pray for those in authority, ‘that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior’ (1 Timothy 2:2–3).”

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT

About 250 Christian leaders affirmed Graham’s call to prayer, signing a statement in support on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s website.

Many of the president’s evangelical advisers have signed on to Sunday’s day of prayer, including Dr. James and Shirley Dobson, Jerry Falwell Jr., Jack Graham, Robert Jeffress, and Paula White, who also referenced the 1 Timothy 2:2 verse.

Other faith leaders who have signed on to the day of prayer include John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church and national chairman of Christians United for Israel; former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, Dr. Alveda King; “Duck Dynasty” stars Phil and Al Robertson, and Rev. Sam Rodriguez, the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.

Graham is currently touring cities in the Northeast, holding one-night prayer and evangelical gatherings meant to encourage people to “return to the Biblical faith of our fathers.”

“I want the President to know, and to feel, and to understand that the prayers of millions of people are behind him. My prayer is that President Trump will know and understand the power of God in a new way and that he will seek His face as he leads this nation to greatness with God’s help,” said Graham.

  1. As we pray today and every other day for President and Melanie Trump and their family and for Vice President and Mrs Pence and their family let them feel your Spirit strengthening them, healing them of the weapons of words that have been used to wound them, giving a peace that passes understanding to each of them. Let respect and honor replace the utter disrespect that has bestowed itself on them. Forgive our nation for harboring things and behavior that is an abomination to You Our Father. Quiet the voices that speak against our leaders. We have allowed Satan to come in under the door of our government and we ask for your forgiveness. Lift up our President to lead us back to you, that we might humble ourselves and seek Your face, turn from our wicked ways that You might heal our lanf.

  2. Father, I lift up President Trump & Vice President Pence, I plead the Blood of Jesus over them that no evil, no plague, no violence, no wickedness & no pestilence shall come nigh them this day and that ” No weapon formed against them will prosper and Any Tongues that comes out against them, we Condemn, in Jesus Name” And that God receives All the Glory.

  3. Jesus, you call us with the words “he who exalts himself will be humbled him and he who humbles himself Will be exalted. “May President Trump see in God’s people these words manifested. May he see people who do not want to be in control, but want Jesus to be in control, Who want to listen to the Father like Jesus. May God lead our government to do what is right relative to Israel. We receive this by faith and thank you Father. You are doing it! We ask this in Jesus name, that the Father be glorified in the Son!

    1. Almighty GOD, creator of heaven and earth thank you for your unfailing love, thank you for all your promises. We come forbore you by faith in Jesus Christ with our request, trusting in your faithfulness. Forgive our sins, listen to our prayer as we’re interceding for President Trump whom you have chosen to lead the United States of America, Bless President Trump, his family, his staff, and our country. We pray for the re-election team, the dedicated men and women whom you’re chosen to work on the campaign. Bless each and everyone who is praying for our president. Heavenly Father you instruct us to pray for our leader. LORD you’re holly and merciful, to you the honor, and the glory for ever and ever, Amen
