At least two Democrat candidates, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, are hiring “faith advisors,” and the Democratic National Committee has hired Rev. Derrick Harkins, an anti-Trump pastor who left his longtime post at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church to take a job at a controversial college in New York.
“The DNC hired former Washington, D.C. anti-Trump pastor, Rev. Derrick Harkins,” Fox News reported last month, saying he “held a similar position in 2012 and has been the senior vice president of Union Theological Seminary in New York City, which recently celebrated ‘rejoicing in the queerness of God.’”
Within the Democratic Party, there is a huge spectrum of deeply faithful people,” Serene Jones, president of the college, told Fox News.

For too long, when we look at religion in America, we have associated with just politics and the religious communities that have been associated with the Republican Party and conservative politics…and there is a strong progressive Christian voice that is being spoken and lifted up and demanding to be heard.

Matthew 7:16a, Ye shall know them by their fruits; Galatians 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. I don’t see the fruit of the Spirit of God in these men nor in the party they represent. I see a smokescreen in the making. I pray they will be exposed before ANYONE is sucked into their scheme.

Yes I know hundreds of thousands of Americans and others across the world are praying for America. Those of us who understand the founding of this country by the Lord God Himself, realize that it’s up to us to pray to change the hearts of those who wish us harm. Just like Israel so many times, we have allowed others to try to rip the Lord away from us. We must hold strong. As in Joshua 1:9, the Lord tells Joshua, ‘Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’ God gave the Israelites their promised land. For me, America is our promised land, in the name of The Lord God Almighty. He is the One who wants us to stand up for Him, and for the glorious life He’s given us in Christ Jesus. We must stand for Israel. We must stand for sanctity of life. We must stand for truth. We must stand for Christ. God will prevail. God is in control. The Israelites believed God when He asked them to turn to Him and turn from their wicked ways. We are not innocent. We must turn ourselves before we can turn others. I pray for God to reveal to me those areas of my life where I am not a light for Him, so that I can be a light for othe God is in control and God will prevail. Truth and light always prevail.
By the way, for me, including my last name, means I am not afraid of those who come against God or against me for my faith.

Tom, you said: “I believe and I doubt”, among other paradoxical statements. This certainly does not represent everyone. I, for one, believe in God and I do not doubt. Ever. Why? Because I know Him. I don’t just know ABOUT Him; I know HIM. He is God, the One whom I gave my life to. I gave my life to Christ and the spirit of God came into me, causing me to intimately know Him. So I have no doubts about this basic faith and fellowship with my God, my Creator.
It would be dishonest of me to say that I doubt. God is very responsive when I ask Him things. I can attest that I ‘hear his voice and follow Him.’ John 10:27: Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me.” I can attest by experience to the truth of Jesus’ statement. This is the experience of many believers in Christ, not only my experience.
Amen Selah! They need to start understanding Scriptures, and get the facts that God can not be MOCKED! By their fruits, shall they be known.
Lord God we pray that you be at work in anyone; especially those in the church who doubt that this is the day of people calling black White and evil good! As we pray for ourselves to submit to the power of your Holy Spirit in us to realize our Society is truly as bad as it seems to be! So that we see it is becoming more obvious; that if God does not judge America he must apologize as being unfair to Sodom and Gomorrah!
And that’s the issues with Humanity in today’s aged! Sodom and Gomorrah wasn’t under the GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD, THROUGH GOD’S SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST! You just can’t compare that. So, help us GOD!
Regarding Booker and Buttegieg hiring faith advisers, only God knows what their true intentions are in doing so. I pray that it will help them both find their own relationship with Christ. Will it mean, winning the Democratic election? That is also in the hands of God.
They just can’t use God’s platform to achieve their goals, and dismiss GOD’S TRUTHS after! Very impossible!!
Thank you Lord for dealing with apostasy. We will see the results of your operations when we see them.
