A website and eventbrite.com promoted rallies in Washington, DC, and other cities across the country to take place Monday to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump – but no one showed up for the one at the Capitol.
The website, impeachmentaugust.org, said the protest would take place at 11:00 a.m. at 1st Street SE, which is near the House side of the Capitol. The website states that the protest is supported by several leftist and anti-Trump groups, including Indivisible, MoveOn, Need to Impeach, Stand Up America, March of Truth, By the People, Common Cause, Free Speech for People, Democracy for America, Progressive Democrats of America, Credo, and democrats.com.

The eventbrite.com protest notice said it would take place at noon on Monday on the “Capitol lawn below the steps,” but no one showed up for that protest. This protest notice said that “events are registered with Indivisible,” one of the groups listed as a sponsor for the 11:00 a.m. protest.
Breitbart News reached out to the contact for the Indivisible event but did not receive a response. Breitbart News also reached out to MoveOn to ask if the protest was canceled and, if not, were organizers disappointed that no one showed up?
Monday was the first day Congress was back in session following its August brea, and both advertised protests said the purpose was to demand lawmakers start an impeachment inquiry against the president.
Protest organizers at the eventbrite.com website make these claims against Trump and Vice President Mike Pence:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors., The charge of “high crimes and misdemeanors” covers allegations of misconduct by officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, refusal to obey a lawful order, chronic intoxication, and tax evasion.
The impeachaugust.com website states that Trump has “broken the law, abused presidential power, and stoked hatred in our country.”
Both protest notices state that the rallies will be ongoing with protesters descending on the offices of lawmakers and protesting at members’ town halls across the country throughout the month.
The notice for Monday’s protest on the impeachaugust.com website has been removed and only future protests are now posted.

We know that Satan is the accuser. And we pray every FALSE accusation be exposed for what it is.
We also pray that corruption be exposed and justice be served at every level of government, and that no one who is truly guilty will be exempt, regardless of who they are.
Is “IMPEACHMENT” something new? Has any other President been impeached?

Thank you that there was no one at the White House to try to influence for impeaching the president. How we desire for truth to be propagated rather than false claims. Lord, you know that it has actually been people who serve in congress that have literally incited hateful actions against those who serve in President Trumps cabinet. You know that they have made a call for making them not welcome anywhere. Lord, please help us. We cry out for truth in the public square. We pray for civility. We pray that Your Spirit would be convicting those who are leading people astray of sin, righteousness and judgement.May there be people in the media and in congress who are willing to say – this is too far. May there be leaders with backbone and journalists who actually want to report news who will take a stand and declare what a waste of resources, time and manpower this move to impeach really is. We ask for protection for our president. We ask that he would cry out to you for wisdom. Please help him to make decisions that honor your name.

I agree with CM Brown and adding also a hedge of protection around all those who are working with President Trump and Vice President Pence in doing what is right and best for the citizens of the United States of America, according to the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights, etc.
When the people of all ages, including the children, do not know the true history of our country, they really have no understanding how awesome the United States of America really is and how we got that way. Taking American History and American Government out of the entire school system has left us as a people on unstable ground. We’ve lost our way. Build a hedge of protection around President TRump and Vice-President Pence. Thank you for their leadership, protect both of them and their families with Your mighty hand. Please do not allow this impeachment process go any further. They are leading the US on the right path.
