Despite the boycott of filming in Georgia launched by Hollywood liberals angry over the state’s new pro-life “Heartbeat” law, legendary actor/director Clint Eastwood will be making his latest movie, “The Battle of Richard Jewell,” in Atlanta this summer, reported NBC Charlotte and other media.
“Clint Eastwood will perform new film in Georgia despite abortion bill boycott,” tweeted NBC Charlotte on June 25. The movie is about Richard Jewell, a police officer and security guard who discovered a bomb at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Ga., and saved countless lives. Jewell was initially hailed as a hero and then was viewed as a suspect.

The heartbeat bill in Georgia prohibits abortion once a baby’s heartbeat starts, which is usually six weeks into pregnancy. The bill, signed into law in May, allows exceptions in the cases of rape, incest, or if the mother’s life is at serious risk.
One of the lead Hollywood activists to protest the new law is Alyssa Milano, and she helped organize the boycott of the Peach State.
In a letter to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, Milano — joined by 40-plus other actors and Hollywood activists — wrote, “As actors, our work often brings us to Georgia. We’ve always found your state to be populated with friendly and caring people. We’ve found the hotels in which we stay and restaurants in which we dine while filming there to be comfortable and of a high quality. We’ve been glad to bring billions of dollars in revenue to support Georgia’s schools, parks, and communities.
“But we cannot in good conscience continue to recommend our industry remain in Georgia if H.B. 481 [heartbeat bill] becomes law…. [W]e will do everything in our power to move our industry to a safer state for women if H.B. 481 becomes law. You have a choice, gentlemen. We pray you make the right one.”
The letter was signed by many Hollywood personalities including Alec Baldwin, Billy Baldwin, David Arquette, Don Cheadle, Jon Cryer, Laura Dern, Lena Dunham, Mia Farrow, Ashley Judd, Zoe Kravitz, Brie Larson, Eva Longoria, Mandy Moore, Rosie O’Donnell, Patton Oswalt, Sean Penn, Natalie Portman, Emma Roberts, Mark Ruffalo, Amy Schumer, Ben Stiller, and Naomi Watts.
Some of the actors slated to work on the Eastwood film include Kathy Bates, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm and Sam Rockwell.
Clint Eastwood, 89, has worked in television and movies since the mid-1950s. He has won 13 Academy Awards (nominated 40 times) and won 8 Golden Globe awards (nominated 32 times).
Some of his more famous films include The Outlaw Josey Wales, High Plains Drifter, The Eiger Sanction, Dirty Harry, Escape from Alcatraz, Heartbreak Ridge, Unforgiven, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, Sully, American Sniper, Gran Torino, True Crime, and The Mule.
Clint Eastwood describes himself as libertarian. He endorsed Republican Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election. He also gave a speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention where he mocked an empty chair that represented President Barack Obama.

I thank God for people and actors like Clint Eastwood who stand up for what is right in the face of all the adversity in Hollywood. Really, do those actors (who can’t speak if it is not written down for them) really think they make a difference to a Republican’s choice. Alec Baldwin, Alyssa Milano, ????? please. They in real life make me sick! So, anyway, long live Clinton Eastwood. He is a good, intelligent, on the right path human being. May God continue to bless him mightily.

Maybe we should introduce retroactive birth control for the elitists in Hollywood.
I believe most of Hollywood is blinded by money, confused and has little conscience. Thanks to mr. Eastwood and others likeminded, He will lead the way for the others to follow and who want to make decent movies. I also believe the casting couch, seduction, rape movement is rightfully exposed but is also used as a deflection to the pedophilia rampant in Hollywood. This needs to also be exposed and brought to true justice. We need to protect children at any stage of life. I also believe Hollywood knew all this has been going on and was not a surprise to anyone, and used as part of the women’s movement. God forbid there will be a law allowing pedophilia.

God help us, that we will not take part in the sins of this industry which dehumanizes children and rails against God. As these actors have refused to come to Georgia, surely God will restrain His righteous judgement and instead bless the state. David Wilkerson once said that when American society accepts these sins, God will judge the nation. In a sane world a mother would be the first and last line of defense for her baby at every stage of development before & after birth.
In a sane world abortion would be unthinkable.
In a sane world an unborn child would be valued for the precious life that it is.
Abortion is every bit a sin and stain on this country as slavery.
Congress and the Supreme Court are guilty of legalizing this horror but the real shame and guilt lies with women who embrace the so called “right” to kill their own flesh and blood.

Just as the slave had no voice in becoming a slave so the unborn child had no voice in its conception. Just as we had to finally decide that it is wrong to own another person, we must finally decide that abortion is wrong because it takes away that person’s right to life.
It is surreal! Who dreams up such horrors and calls it a “right”? One day we will wake up in disbelief of our sin. But it is too late for the 60+million that have already been sacrificed on the altar of self worship.
There are no words for the horror of abortion. It is unspeakable evil. Abortion at every stage should be called by its right name – genocide of the unborn. How did the hearts of women become so hardened and their thinking so twisted and misguided! They are so broken and pitiful, giving up their most sacred privilege.
I pray for women everywhere to turn from this abomination and embrace the privilege of Motherhood. It is the unique ability of the female sex and should be celebrated as the crowning glory and purpose of womanhood and femininity.

Thank you, Lord, for Clint Eastwood breaking this barrier in Hollywood. I pray he will be rewarded richly. I pray that the people of Georgia and throughout the USA will become incensed that actors from a state at the other end of the country would try to muscle their politics and debased beliefs onto a state where they are not constituents and where they do not pay taxes. I pray the Governor nor the constituents of Georgia will not be moved by this boycott. I pray that You build in Georgia a New Movie Industry, separate from Hollywood, that honors You, Your standards of love and life, an industry that succeeds so much better than Hollywood that the mountainous pride of Hollywood will finally be humbled. Holy Spirit, move on the people of this country to care about the movies they fill their minds with and the people they support. Thank you, Jesus!
Dear Lord, thank you for people like Clint Eastwood who is willing to stand up for his beliefs that all children are your children. I pray that more actors and others will stand up to the tyranny of the hollywood elite who don’t regard life and are willing to kill children not just inside, but outside the womb as well.
Father, Thank You that You have shown us in Your Word,that You formed us and knew us even before we were born. How can people deny that. We pray for each unborn child to be protected from the atrocity of abortion, and that the lies of the enemy would be made clear to those who have been deceived into believing that killing a baby is a women’s right. Oh God,forgive us and heal our land.

After the Abby Johnson Prayer call, God gave me an assignment to go to the nearest abortion clinic in our state and pray. He said that our prayer will make a difference. So the last 5 weeks I gathered a small team of intercessors whiz God also gave them a heart for the unborn and we went to the main abortion clinic in Columbus Ohio. Well hallelujah today I saw this news report. The picture of this clinic is the exact same clinic we have been praying at. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Ohio is defunding and giving the the funds for prolife!!!

We are in desperate need of your wisdom and strength. Thank you that Clint Eastwood is taking this stand for life. I pray that others in that field who believe in protecting the babies would speak up and be willing to stand for life no matter the cost. Help us to stand for truth and righteousness. May those who are uncertain have their eyes opened to the truth of the horrors of abortion. Please let a groundswell of actors and actresses band together and speak up with confidence and boldness. Restore the consciences of those who have been dulled by the lies of our culture. May truth prevail among the people of Hollywood. Strengthen those who are already taking heat for their faithful commitment to life. Jesus, we praise you that you are the Way , the Truth and the Life.

Strengthen the resolve and moral courage of actors and actresses who know and are convinced life is from You.
Reveal the truth of abortion and it’s cruel horrors and sin against You to those actors and actresses who are honestly uncertain.
Do what You need to convict those with hardened hearts. I pray in the quiet of the night, Your convicting work will begin to open their hearts. Bring people, media, and friends across their path who will speak truth to them about abortion.
