I Prayed have prayed

The Russians targeted American Christians with fake news ads to influence the 2016 election. Pray that we believers would be wise in media consumption and not be misled by persuasive words and ideas that appeal to our bias.

We are not meant to remain as children at the mercy of every chance wind of teaching and the jockeying of men who are expert in the craft presentation of lies. But we are meant to hold firmly to the truth in love, and to grow up in every way into Christ, the head. (Eph 4:14 PHIL)

“Why are Christians so often the target audience for fake news? . . .

[T]he House Intelligence Committee released a sample of ads Russians used to influence the 2016 election. . . . [A]mong the demographics they targeted were American Christians. (Excerpted from an excellent article in Christianity Today by Ed Stetzer, entitled “Michael Flynn Isn’t the Only Guilty One.” Read the full article for excellent exhortations about being wiser in our consumption and understanding of the news.)
