Heavenly Father, help our nation serve and protect our national interests as well as be a help to those seeking refuge.

The Border Patrol is seeing an increase in migrants from African countries who are blending in with the large numbers crossing the southern border illegally through Central America.

Agents assigned to at the Del Rio, Texas, sector apprehended 116 individuals last week from African countries as they crossed the border from Mexico.

Those caught around 10:30 p.m. CT May 30 included nationals from Angola, Cameroon, and Congo.

The Del Rio sector encountered 182 large groups with more than 100 individuals during the current fiscal year, which began in  October. But this was the first encounter with African migrants, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the parent agency to the Border Patrol.

“Large groups present a unique challenge for the men and women of the Del Rio Sector,” sector Chief Raul Ortiz said in a prepared statement. “This large group from Africa further demonstrates the complexity and severity of the border security and humanitarian crisis at our southwest border.”

“This is less a result of conditions in Africa and more a result of the dynamics of illegal immigration across the southern border,” Joshua Meservey, senior policy analyst for Africa and the Middle East at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal.

“I suspect the Africans we are seeing is a result of word circulating that traveling in groups means the odds are better,” Meservey said. “African migration is still far less common into the United States than in Europe.”

Federal laws requiring “catch and release” when an immigrant is accompanied by children have served as a magnet to would-be border crossers, and apprehensions are expected to reach a 12-year high…. (Excerpt from The Daily Signal article by Fred Lucas)

  1. Heavenly Father, I ask wisdom for our president and the entire border administration members. Nothing is impossible to you my Lord, I ask solution to Africa crisis and around the world. So our traveling will be just for visit or tourist, grant our countries a basic living, water, foods and shelters, I bring the minds of those in authorities captive to Jesus Christ, cause them to be just to their people in Jesus name.

  2. Heavenly Father I lift the security of this nation in your hands. Lord also protect those who work at the border and to give wisdom to our President to negotiate with Mexico with this crisis of immigrants, too many children are in these caravans, I ask that you protect them. Dear Father I know that you can move the finances quickly to build the wall that would work to secure this nation from foreign enemies of this country. In all thanksgiving and praise to you Mighty and Glorious God, amen.

  3. Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I ask that You place Your hedge of protection around our country, our Border Patrol Agents, and their families. I ask forgiveness on behalf of our nation and ask that You hold back judgment upon us, as that is how I perceive this invasion. Please give us discernment to know the difference between those who truly seek a better life and those who wish to do us harm.
May we become a modern-day Ninevah and repent from our wicked ways before it’s too late!
I stand in agreement with those who have prayed for Your blessed favor and protection.
    Amen and amen!

    1. Yes Father, I also ask for a divine hedge of protection around those serving to secure our borders. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Forgive us, your children, for running after other gods (comfort, money, power, pride, lust, greed, spiritism, and having lukewarm hearts) We, the church, have been asleep while the powers of darkness never rest. We need you Father God! We need yor precious Son, Jesus! We need the power, wisdom, and grace of the Holy Spirit and the sword of your Word in our hearts and mouths!
Thank you for hearing our prayers…we praise You and bless You!

  4. Father, we see blatant opposition to our president in Congress. This is a priority issue and they are feuding and playing power games with the media. Father, we ask that You deal with the obstructionists and center our Congress on “we the people” not their own contrived agendas for personal gain. We are kingdom people who need to move as one and not being pulled by power mongers with evil intent. We repent for allowing this to happen and the continued election of such evil intent. Help us to clean up elections and the minds of voters renewed to see what is true and I do not exempt myself! My prejudices have harmed Your purposes as well. Forgive me and help me be a voter turnaround change agent by intercession. Thank You that You freely forgive and bless me to be what I am destined to do. I yield my will as best I can and ask for divine help with the breaking of my will into Your will that it may be done on earth as in heaven. Amen.

  5. Our Heavenly Father, again you see the security threat on the border between the United States and Mexico. We ask for your protection against any evil which takes advantage of situations and opportunities to infiltrate our “city upon a hill” nation the light the world sees and wants. Anoint the Border Patrol agents with wisdom, spiritual eyes, and compassion for the right individuals to legally enter and prevent or deny the evil doers, access to this nation. If needed, utilize our military to man the border as a tour of duty. A reminder, during the Cold War we Americans manned checkpoints to prevent enemies of the West to enter and kept the peace for 50 years in Europe…we can do the same on the U.S. border. We have the right to do so. Amen

    1. I agree. Whatever it takes to secure our border against the illegal aliens/invaders who seek to do America and the American people harm; our military rotating a tour of duty-indefinitely.

  6. Dear Lord God Almighty thank You for everything. Thank You for prayer. Lord I pray that our borders become secure and our nation becomes more safe from illegal aliens. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  7. Please support the border patrol in their efforts to secure our country from those who wish to destroy us. Pray Ephesians 2:10. We are God’s handiwork recreated in Christ Jesus that we may do those good works which God predestined for us that we should walk in them.
