An historic national prayer gathering is in the works for October 6-9, 2017 on the National Mall. This event, called “Awaken the Dawn,” will be centered around prayer and worship, with intercessors and musicians filling over fifty tents, one for each state. Organizers have shared the story of this remarkable vision on their website, www.awakenthedawn.org.
Their hope and vision is that “America’s Tent of Meeting” will be catalytic in bringing revival and a fresh outpouring of the Spirit upon this nation, especially the youth. They are inviting intercessors to join in prayer from now until the event in what they are calling a “procession of prayer.”
Here are seven prayer points they are highlighting in preparing the way for God to move mightily through this initiative.
TENT OF MEETINGS – This is the cry that must arise from the generations as we tabernacle together on the National Mall: We want to meet with Jesus face-to-face!
PRAY: John 1:14 declares that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”—we want Jesus to tabernacle among us on the National Mall in His full splendor.
PROCESSION – Each person in this procession is bringing an offering before the Lord—their very own lives as a “living sacrifice” (Romans 12:1) unto the Lord. It will be a procession for the ages: men and women; young and old.
PRAY: Singers, musicians, and worship leaders will respond to this unprecedented call of God to tabernacle before the Lord as they represent their state on the National Mall, and for thousands of praying women to gather at The Call on October 9th.
BEAUTY OF JESUS – In the midst of crying out to meet with Him face-to-face is the need to encounter Him afresh.
PRAY: The Spirit of wisdom and revelation will unveil the beauty of Jesus to the hearts of this generation.
WORTH OF JESUS – It is our longing to summon a generation to the National Mall to express even out of our weakness the worth that is ascribed to Him—and Him alone!
PRAY: Revelation of His worth—the inexpressible glory of the God-Man, Christ Jesus would be multiplied within the hearts of all.
SACRIFICIAL LOVE – The worth of Jesus compels us out of love to surrender all. Love sees no sacrifice too great for the One who sacrificed all for us.
PRAY: One aspect of sacrificial love that we must humbly share is the need for financial provision to pull off a gathering of this magnitude. Please pray for surrendered hearts to lavish sacrifices of love at the feet of Jesus.
NEW JESUS MOVEMENT – Today we are contending for the unveiling of the beauty of Jesus, coupled with the demonstration of signs and wonders to awaken a generation unto the worth of Jesus. There is no backup plan. Only one antidote in this hour will work: the worth of Jesus burning in the hearts of the Millennial Generation.
PRAY: Cry out to the Father for a new Jesus Movement to apprehend and capture the heart of the Millennial Generation. Declare Acts 4:30 over this generation: “Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
MISSIONS MOVEMENT Missions movements historically follow a genuine move of the Spirit as sons and daughters surrender their lives to make Christ known to the ends of the earth. Many in this hour are praying Matthew 9:38—“therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
PRAY: Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send forth—ekballo—laborers into His harvest fields.

It was such a privilege to serve in one of the tents in Sand Springs, OK. 419 tents for 50+ continuous hours of prayer, praise and worship. I’m expecting Gods response to this to shake this nation and turn the masses back to Jesus. WOuld love to hear some praise reports on how it went in your location
Lord Jesus, I pray again for this outpouring of prayer coming this October. Bless the works of the leaders Lord with great success, and we pray for an awakening of Mellinials as well as all others here in this land. I especially pray for the return of those who came to Christ in the last revival of the 70’s and then fell away. Bring back our prodigal brethern dear Lord, rescue them from our enemy, bring them back to their senses. Cause them to remember the Love of Jesus in a way they can not ignore any longer. Remind us, your intercessors, to again and again pray for this event. May your Kingdom come Lord, here in the USA as it is in heaven. Jesus, may you be glorified. In your name, Amen
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the national prayer gathering on October 6-9 when the people of this nation will gather to invoke Your mercy upon us. May Your holy name be exalted and glorified as we praise and worship You and repent of our sins. Lord, we invite you to show up in a mighty big way and pour down the Spirit of supplication and prayer upon everyone in attendance so that we will pray effectual prayers that avail much. Then You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal this nation of America. May Your holy name be glorified in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Father God,. We thank You for this still very young nation in which we live. We thank You for the founding fathers that listened to You as they drew up contracts with it’s citizens which they called the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Oh, Father we cry out to You in repentance of the disobedience to those contracts over generations. We stand in the gap, praying our voices to be heard that You would create a desire in the hearts of a new generation to hunger for Your word & to seek Your will for this nation. May they put their trust in You alone, that they may not have scales over their eyes for deceit of men, but blinders to seek the narrow path You have chosen for this nation.
As King Jehoshaphat called his people to gather, may this gathering in Oct also be to seek our Lord, our one true God, to seek Your will for this nation together. May this gathering be pleasing to You in reverance, proclaiming Your greatness for Your revelation of You manifest in flesh as Your Son Jesus Christ our Savior & Redeemer. Thank You our great God for what You have done, what You are doing & what will be done. May we “Give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever”.
We pray a hedge of protection around organizers, their families, the participants & the event itself. May Your will be done & in ALL things be to the Glory of Christ our King. Amen
Lord God, please fall on us as you did in the 70’s and i pray for those who came to you then and then fell away, that your Spirit would call them “home”. I pray that you would continue to call more and more of us to pray for this event as we also pray for more intercessors to do the work of prayer for our country. I pray that there would be corporate fasting and prayer in the churches all around our country, Lord may your name be glorified. I pray for financial provision for this quest and i pray that every leader would have his way made straight before him/her, and may you bless their hands. I ask a hedge of protection around this event Lord God, in Jesus name, Amen.

We thank You for Pastor David Bradshaw and the other leaders who have let go of the familiar and are launching out in FAITH! Bless and protect all those who are getting and acting on YOUR strategic purposes for this gathering! Increase and enlarge the preparation for this gathering in the form of abundance in finances, authority and multiplication.
I specifically ask for Your favor and blessing on the tent of Israel which will be among the other tents, and the Feast of Tabernacles drama and dances which will take place there on 10/7.
Invade Washington D.C and this nation with YOUR GLORY and light as we arise and shine! In Jesus’ Name AMEN!
Father God, awaken us to your rightousness, and the knowledge of who you are. Draw this nation by your Spirit, and let there be unity amoung us. Let us be in one mind and one accord with your desires for this generation and nation. Your mercy love and grace are new every day. There is no one else like you. You are the only true God. I pray everyday for a revival in this nation and this world. We need to return to God. Jesus, there is great power in your holy name. So many people ridicule faith in you. How can you bless us if we revile you and deny you? Please Father, beckon us to faith in your son. Please Holy Spirit, kindle a fire in us that we may answer, “YES” when the Father beckons.

We are praying in agreement for America’s Tent of Mission the Missions movement that You Lord hear and answer our prayers.
Lord Jesus, how it must grieve you to see believers squabbling among themselves. It is Your desire that we would be one, just as You and the Father are one. Teach us to remember to ignore our differences and focus instead on all the wonderful joys we have in common because we believe in You. Bind us together through Your mercy, love and grace. Teach us to listen to You before we react. We Love You Lord, We Thank You, We Worship You, And We Give You All The Praise. Amen
