CLICK HERE ... With just one click you can send the following message to President Bush, Vice-president Cheney, Secretary of State Powell, Secretary of Defence Rumsfeld, key members of Congress, Defense Minister Perez, Prime Minister Sharon and members of his cabinet urging their unified support for Israel's admission to the West European and Others Group (WEOG) of the United Nations, to facilitate Israel's inclusion in the UN Security Council. After you click and view the next screen you may edit the text as you see fit.  Dear President Bush,

Excluding Israel from eligibility in the United Nations Security Council is an egregious act of exclusion in what should be fair representation in this world body.
Israel is the only member country not included.

Please do not allow this blatantly political bias against Israel to remain uncorrected. The only acceptable solution will be Israel's admission to the Security Council.

Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary General, has spoken out in support of Israel. Won't you do the same?  Background:

Just a brief look at the following will demonstrate unacceptable bias against one country -
Israel
, that is contrary to the fundamental spirit of the United Nations. The UN, unilaterally accepted and recognized as the world's "peace keepers", cannot continue to exclude a democratic member country.

Based on information from The New York Times - June, 2002
Countries eligible to sit on the United Nations Security Council:

Just 187 of 188 member countries, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

Countries not eligible to sit on the United Nations Security Council:

Israel

1. Of all 188 member countries, only Israel - in a glaring example of inequality - is ineligible to serve on the Security Council, the world body's key deliberative group.

2. Unfair treatment of Israel mars the UN's noble mission.

3. Of all UN members only Israel is denied the right to belong to any regional group. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has called for an end to this injustice and the "normalization of Israel's status within the United Nations." As a temporary measure, Israel has sought acceptance in the West European and Other Group (WEOG), which includes not only the democracies of Western Europe but also Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. The
U.S., Australia, Canada and Norway have supported Israel's admission to WEOG, but the 15 member European Union refuses to act.

4. Without membership in a regional group, Israel can never be elected to serve on the Security Council or, for that matter, on the other most important bodies of the UN system.

5. What should you do? Make yourself heard!
